Reliable,nondestructive fish freshness evaluation applicable during fish commercialization has been continuously pursued by scientists and *** into account that fish texture is primarily affected even at early stages of post-mortem storage,a relevant nondestructive testing framework for rapid textural assessment of fish freshness was developed in the ***,an algorithm operating within the aforementioned framework and optimized for use in industrial environments is *** bass(Dicentrarchus labrax)both freshly killed and stored on ice for 6 days have been used for comparative *** fish is part of a system,which is vibrationtested via a new testing protocol designed for easy implementation and robustness to *** the same time,a new closed-form analytical expression for the system response to the specific testing is computed and used along with experimental data,for obtaining specific mechanical(thus muscle-structural)characteristics of fish *** computation is designed to only require readily available routines found in most relevant *** algorithmic operational framework has been used in two different test setups(a custom-built test rig and a prototype device),with results following remarkably similar trends,clearly discriminating different textural(thus freshness)characteristics,and consequently validating the proposed approach.

This study aimed to investigate the long-term biocompatibility, safety, and degradation of the ultrathin nitrided iron bioresorbable scaffold (BRS) in vivo, encompassing the whole process of bioresorption in porcine coronary arteries. Fifty-two nitrided iron scaffolds (strut thickness of 70 μm) and 28 Vision Co–Cr stents were randomly implanted into coronary arteries of healthy mini-swine. The efficacy and safety of the nitrided iron scaffold were comparable with those of the Vision stentwithin 52 weeks after implantation. In addition, the long-term biocompatibility, safety, and bioresorption of the nitrided iron scaffold were evaluated by coronary angiog-raphy, optical coherence tomography, micro-computed tomography, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry and histopathological evaluations at 4, 12, 26, 52 weeks and even at 7 years after im-plantation. In particular, a large number of struts were almost completely absorbed in situ at 7 years follow-up, which were first illustrated in this study. The lymphatic drainage pathway might serve as the potential clearance way of iron and its corrosion products.

Cone-beam computed tomography （CBCT） has been widely used in medical imaging and industrial nondestructive testing, but the presence of scattered radiation will cause significant reduction of image quality. In this article, a robust scatter correction method for CBCT using an interlacing-slit plate （ISP） is carried out for convenient practice. Firstly, a Gaussian filtering method is proposed to compensate the missing data of the inner scatter image, and simultaneously avoid too-large values of calculated inner scatter and smooth the inner scatter field. Secondly, an interlacing-slit scan without detector gain correction is carried out to enhance the practicality and convenience of the scatter correction method. Finally, a denoising step for scatter-corrected projection images is added in the process flow to control the noise amplification The experimental results show that the improved method can not only make the scatter correction more robust and convenient, but also achieve a good quality of scatter-corrected slice images.
