A drug-drug molecular salt hydrate of berberine and protocatechuic acid has been *** acid lost its carboxylic proton and turned to be protocatechuic anion to form a 1：1：1 organic salt hydrate with berberine,[C（20）H（18）NO4]＋[C7H5O4]^-·H2O（1）.Compound1 crystallizes in the triclinic system,space group P1 with a = 7.9849（5）,b =10.5437（5）,c = 14.3621（5）？,α = 77.983（4）,β = 82.900（4）,γ = 78.024（4）o,V = 1152.82（10） A^3,Mr= 507.48,Dc= 1.462 g/cm^3,μ = 0.929 mm^-1,F（000） = 532,Z = 2,the final R = 0.0488 and w R = 0.1322 for 3993 reflectionswith I 〉 2σ（I）.The hydrate exhibited good solid state stability against humidity,which may result from strong hydrogen-bonding interactions between water molecules and carboxylate *** hydrate also exhibited acceptable solubility and dissolution rate.

Cyanobacteria-based activated carbon(CBAC)was successfully prepared by pyrolysis-activation of Taihu *** the impregnation ratio and activated temperature were 2 and 800-C,respectively,the optimal CBACs possessed an ultra-high specific surface(2178.90 m^(2)·g^(-1))and plenty of micro-and meso-pores,as well as a high pore volume(1.01 cm^(3)·g^(-1)).Ascribed to ultra-high surface area,π-π interaction,electrostatic interaction,as well as hydrogen-bonding interactions,the CBACs displayed huge superiority in efficient dye *** saturated methylene blue adsorption capacity by CBACs could be as high as 1143.4 mg·g^(-1),superior to that of other reported biomass-activated *** adsorption was endothermic and modeled well by the pseudo-second-order kinetic,intra-particle diffusion,and Langmuir *** work presented the effectiveness of Taihu cyanobacteria adsorbent ascribed to its super large specific surface area and high adsorption ability.

Patterned photonic crystals with structural colors on textile substrates have attracted a special attention due to the great advantages in application,which currently become a research *** study utilized an ink-jet printing technology to prepare high-quality photonic crystal patterns with structural colors on polyester *** self-assembly temperature of poly(styrene-N-methylol acrylamide)(P(St-NMA))microspheres set to construct photonic crystals were deeply ***,the structural colors of prepared photonic crystal patterns were characterized and *** the mass fraction of P(St-NMA)microspheres was 1.0 wt.%,the pH value ranged from 5 to 7,and the surface tension was in the range of 63.79 to 71.20 mN/m,inks could present the best print *** 60°C,prepared P(St-NMA)microsphere inks were good for printing to obtain patterned photonic crystals with regular arrangement and beautiful structural ***,photonic crystals with different colors could be constructed by regulating the diameter of microspheres in inks,and prepared structural colors exhibited distinct iridescent *** present results could provide a theoretical basis for the industrial realization of patterned photonic crystals by ink-jet printing technology.

A new coordination compound, [（CuI）（Btd）]n （1, Btd = 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole）, was obtained at room temperature by the reaction of 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole with CuI and KI saturated aqueous solution. It was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and photoluminescence. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic Pi space group, with a = 4.1620（6）, b = 10.4590（15）, c = 10.5052（15） A, a = 69.310（2）, β = 83.608（2）, γ = 78.873（2）°, V = 419.30（10） A3, Z = 2, C6H4N2SCuI, Mr = 326.61, Dc = 2.587 g/cm^3, F（000） = 304 and/^（MoKa） = 6.464 mm-1. The final R = 0.0418 and wR = 0.0936 for 1451 observed reflections with 1 〉 2σ（I） and R = 0.0422 and wR = 0.0939 for all data. In the complex, the Cu atoms are coordinated by one nitrogen atom and three iodine atoms to form a double-stranded stair, and such stairs are further linked to build a 2D framework via C-H…I interactions.

Two novel N-heterocycle-containing benzotriazole compounds, 5-（5-chloro-2-benzotriazolyl）-6-hydroxy-l,4-dimethyl-3-car- bonitrile-2-pyddone （2） and 4-（5-chloro-2-benzotdazolyl）-5-methyl-2-phenyl-3-pyrazolone （4）, were synthesized from reactant 4- chloro-2-nitroaniline via diazotization, azo coupling, reductive cyclization and acidification. Their structures were confirmed by Fr-IR, 1H NMR, mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Their spectral properties were investigated and compared with that of a common commercial benzotriazole UV absorber Tinuvin 326. It is found that the novel N-heterocycle-containing benzotriazole compounds exhibit sharp single peak in the range of 280-400 nm and have much higher molar extinction coefficients than that of Tinuvin 326. Their anti-UV protection properties on polyester fabric were also evaluated and compound 4 was much superior to compound 2 due to its higher exhaustion.

Under the guidance of the finding that the tyrosine residues in proteins could undergo three-component Mannich-type reactions with formaldehyde and electron-rich aniline-containing compounds,which forms covalent bonding connections between the protein of interest and the aniline with high levels of selectivity under relatively mild conditions,an orange aromatic primary amine-containing acid dye AMODB was designed and readily *** molecular structure was characterized by FTIR,^1H NMR,mass spectrometry and elemental *** synthesized dye and a similar control dye（*** Yellow 11） without primary amine groups were applied to dye silk fabric by three dyeing processes：Mannich-type dyeing（with and without the addition of formaldehyde） and acidic *** washing and rubbing fastness properties with different dyeing methods were examined and *** was found that the dyed silk fabric with AMODB by the Mannich-type dyeing showed higher color depth,better anti-stripping ability to DMF and better washing fastness than those of the dyed silk fabric with *** Yellow 11 by acidic dyeing due to the covalent bond formation between the dye chromophore of AMODB and silk *** addition,mild Mannich dyeing conditions suitable for silk（AMODB at 3%owf,75：1 liquor-to-goods ratio,dyebath pH 5.5,30℃,10 h） were provided.

Stimuli-responsive materials with switchable wettability have promising practical applications in oil/water separation.A novel CO_(2)-responsive cotton fabric for controlled oil/water separation was fabricated based on mussel-inspired reaction and polymerized with 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate(DMAEMA).As expected,the modified fabric exhibited switchable hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity after CO_(2)/N_(2) alternation,and it could be used for gravity-driven CO_(2)-controlled oil/water *** was selectively penetrated through the fabric and separated from oil after treating by CO_(2).A reversed wettability could be generated through simply treated with *** is expected that the as-prepared fabrics could be applied in smart oil/water separation due to the attractive properties of CO_(2)-switchable system.

In this paper,the collective effects of combining heterogeneous Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite catalyst with the byproducts（primarily the irradiation and the O3 species） of an atmospheric pressure plasma jet（APPJ） system on the degradation of methyl orange（MO） were *** heterostructured Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite was achieved via decorating the Ag quantum dots（QDs） on the commercially available TiO_2catalyst（P25） through a hydrothermal *** x-ray diffraction analysis of the nanocomposite catalyst showed the diffraction peaks at 44.3°,64.4°,and 77.5°,corresponding to the Ag planes of（200）,（220） and（311）,*** high resolution transmission electron microscope characterization of the nanocomposite catalyst indicated that the Ag QDs with an average diameter of 5 nm were homogeneously distributed on the P25 *** experimental results on the MO photodegradation showed that the APPJ irradiation had a marginal effect on the cleavage of the MO *** the Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite catalyst was used,the photodegradation rate of MO increased about 5 *** both the APPJ byproducts and the Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite catalyst were used,however,over 90% of the MO in the tested solution was cleaved within 15 min,and the energy efficiency was about 0.6 g/k W ***,an optimal Ag dosage value was determined（6 wt%）.The catalytic results indicated that combining the DBD plasma byproducts with heterogeneous nanocomposite catalysts may be an effect protocol for decreasing the application cost of the DBD system and mitigating the environment pollution by organic dyes in the textile industry.

Facile synthesis and properties of alkali-clearable azo disperse dye containing a carboxylic ester moiety

A yellow, alkali-clearable azo disperse dye containing a carboxylic ester moiety was readily synthesized from the reactant p-aminobenzoic acid by successive diazotization, coupling reaction, chlorination and esterification with ethanol. Then its molecular structure was characterized by FTIR,1H NMR,13 C NMR,mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The synthesized dye and a similar control dye containing the acylamide moiety（I） were applied to dyeing poly（ethylene terephthalate） fabric and their washing and rubbing fastness properties with different post-treatment methods（reduction clearing and alkali clearing） were examined and compared. It is found that the ester-containing disperse dye shows good alkali-clear ability on poly（ethylene terephthalate） fabric and contaminates little to environment due to the absence of reductants, as well as low toxicity and easy recycling of the hydrolysates.
