Direct air capture(DAC)has attracted increasing interest and investment over the past few *** are a fast-growing number of companies that entered the field and demonstrated DAC carbon removal setups and ***,current DAC methods are still based on solid absorbents or alkali solutions approaches which have low capture efficiency and low energy *** highlight proposed a promising CO_(2) capture technology,an electric energy driven closed-loop system for the direct removal of CO_(2) from ambient air which are based on two individual technologies:Polyam-N-Cu hybrid system promoted CO_(2) capture with ocean as anthropogenic CO_(2) sink and a chloride-mediated electrochemical pH swing system to remove CO_(2) from oceanwater.

Extreme events have become increasingly frequent worldwide which are reflected in diverse changes in the shape of the temperature probability density ***,few studies have paid attention to the heterogeneity of temperature at the scale of climate ***,we use the ERA5-land data set to explore interdecadal summer temperature changes and the distribution across different climate zones from 1981 to *** the minimum(Tmin)and maximum(Tmax)temperature of 1982–1991 and 2010–2019,the results imply that Tmin and Tmax in summer maintained a notable upward trend over the past 40 years,especially *** effects of a simple shift toward a warmer climate contributed most to all climate zones,while the standard deviation,skewness and kurtosis had minor effects on extreme temperature except for *** analysis shows that the probability of extreme events in all climate zones is increasing in frequency and intensity,especially Tmin and Tmax in temperate climate *** diverse reasons for climate change can assist us with taking different measures to address extreme climate in distinct climate zones.

Lithium-sulfur battery is one of the most promising battery systems for industrialization due to its high theoretical specific capacity and high energy ***,the??shuttle effect??has restrained the advancement of lithium-sulfur *** this work,a gradient-structured nanofiber membrane with pure gelatin on one side and Super P-MoO2/MoS2-gelatin on the other side was created using a multi-step electrostatic spinning technique,which was applied for multi-functional separator for lithium-sulfur *** pure gelatin layer facing the anode side primarily homogenizes the lithium flux,whereas the Super P-MoO2/MoS2-gelatin layer facing the cathode side primarily adsorbs polysulfides by physical and chemical adsorption and enhancing polysulfide conversion *** findings demonstrate that even after 150 cycles at 0.2C,the lithium-sulfur battery can still sustain a discharge-specific capacity of 572.3 mAh·*** used with Li||Li symmetric batteries,it has a cycle life of more than 1200 *** commercialization of lithium-sulfur batteries is given a fresh idea by this straightforward preparation technique.

To modify the thermodynamics and kinetic performance of magnesium hydride(MgH_(2))for solid-state hydrogen storage,Ni_(3)V_(2)O_(8)-rGO(rGO represents reduced graphene oxide)and Ni_(3)V_(2)O_(8)nanocomposites were prepared by hydrothermal and subsequent heat *** beginning hydrogen desorption temperature of 7 wt.%Ni_(3)V_(2)O_(8)-rGO modified MgH_(2)was reduced to 208°C,while the additive-free MgH_(2)and 7 wt.%Ni_(3)V_(2)O_(8)doped MgH_(2)appeared to discharge hydrogen at 340 and 226°C,respectively.A charging capacity of about 4.7 wt.%H_(2)for MgH_(2)+7 wt.%Ni_(3)V_(2)O_(8)-rGO was achieved at 125°C in 10 min,while the dehydrogenated MgH_(2)took 60 min to absorb only 4.6 wt.%H_(2)at 215°*** microstructure analysis confirmed that the in-situ generated Mg_(2)Ni/Mg_(2)NiH4 and metallic V contributed significantly to the enhanced performance of MgH_(2).In addition,the presence of rGO in the MgH_(2)+7 wt.%Ni_(3)V_(2)O_(8)-rGO composite reduced particle aggregation tendency of Mg/MgH_(2),leading to improving the cyclic stability of MgH_(2)during 20 cycles.

The selective oxidation of cyclohexane is a promising green route for the production of KA oil(cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone),but remains a huge challenge to design high-performing heterogeneous catalysts under mild ***,a pure silica ZSM-12(MTW topology)zeolite was applied as the support to immobilize highly dispersive tetrahedrally coordinated vanadium(V)species and the constructed catalyst 1%V/SZ-12 exhibited high efficiency in the fast and selective oxidation of cyclohexane into cyclohexanone with H_(2)O_(2).The reaction completed within 30 s,affording the selectivity of 99%towards cyclohexanone and the extremely high turnover frequency(TOF)of 5,891 h^(-1).1%V/SZ-12 was facilely reused with stable activity and feasibly extended to the oxidation of various cyclohexane *** one-dimensional 12-membered ring microchannels contributed to the formation and accessibility of tetrahedrally coordinated high valent V5+species as the robust active centers,which activated H_(2)O_(2) to generate V–O–O·,the active oxygen species for the electrophilic attack on cyclohexane to produce cyclohexanone as the sole product.
