As one of the regions most affected by global cli-mate warming,the Tianshan mountains has experienced sev-eral ecological crises,including retreating glaciers and water *** warming in these mountains is considered mainly to be caused by increases in minimum temperatures and winter temperatures,while the influence of maximum temperatures is *** this study,a 300-year tree-ring chronology developed from the Western Tianshan Moun-tains was used to reconstruct the summer(June-August)maximum temperature(T_(max6-8))variations from 1718 to *** reconstruction explained 53.1% of the variance in the observed T_(max6-8).Over the past 300 years,the T_(max6-8)reconstruction showed clear interannual and decadal *** was a significant warming trend(0.18°c/decade)after the 1950s,which was close to the increasing rates of the minimum and mean *** increase in maximum temperature was also present over the whole Tianshan mountains and its impact on climate warming has *** T_(max6-8) variations in the Western Tianshan mountains were influenced by frequent volcanic eruptions combined with the influence of solar activity and the sum-mer North Atlantic *** study reveals that cli-mate warming is significantly influenced by the increase in maximum temperatures and clarifies possible driving mech-anisms of temperature variations in the Western Tianshan mountains which should aid climate predictions.

Methanotrophs,organisms that obtain oxygen by oxidizing methane,are recognized as the only known biological sink for atmospheric cH_4,and forest soil methanotrophs play crucial roles in mitigating global *** succession patterns of methanotrophic communities and functions in Wudalianchi volcano forest soils could provide a basis for the study of evolutionary mechanisms between soil microorganisms,the environment,and carbon cycling of temperate forest ecosystems under climate *** this study,the characteristics and drivers of methanotrophic community structure and function of two volcanic soils at different stages of development are analyzed,including an old volcano and a new volcano,which most recently erupted 300 years and 17-19×10^(5)years ago,respectively,and a non-volcano hills as control,based on space for time substitution and Miseq sequencing and bioinformation *** results showed that cH_(4) fluxes were significantly higher in old-stage volcano forest soils than new-stage forest soils and non-volcano forest *** were significant differences in the community composition and diversity of soil methanotrophs from different volcano forest *** was the dominant genus in all soil ***,the relative abundance of Methylococcus,along with clonothrix,Methyloglobulus,Methylomagum,Methylomonas and Methylosarcina,were the important genera responsible for the differences in methanotrophic community structure in different volcano forest *** relative abundance of methanotroph belonging toγ-proteobacteria was significantly higher than that belonging toα-proteobacteria(pchao1,shannon and simpson indices of soil methanotrophic community were significantly lower in new-stage volcanos and were significantly affected by bulk density,total porosity,p H,nitrate,dissolved organic carbon and dissolved organic *** were significant differences in community structure between new-stage and old-stage volcano

We apply the local method of fundamental solutions(LMFs)to boundary value problems(BVps)for the Laplace and homogeneous biharmonic equations in *** appropriately choosing the collocation points,the LMFs discretization yields sparse block circulant system *** a result,matrix decomposition algorithms(MDAs)and fast Fourier transforms(FFTs)can be used for the solution of the systems resulting in considerable savings in both computational time and storage *** accuracy of the method and its ability to solve large scale problems are demonstrated by applying it to several numerical experiments.

cardiac resident macrophages (cRMs) are the main population of cardiac immune cells. The role of these cells in regeneration, functional remodeling, and repair after cardiac injury is always the focus of research. However, in recent years, their dynamic changes and contributions in physiological states have a significant attention. cRMs have specific phenotypes and functions in different cardiac chambers or locations of the heart and at different stages. They further show specific differentiation and development processes. The present review will summarize the new progress about the spatiotemporal distribution, potential developmental regulation, and their roles in cardiac development and aging as well as the translational potential of cRMs on cardiac diseases. Of course, the research tools for cRMs, their respective advantages and disadvantages, and key issues on cRMs will further be discussed.

since the cOVID-19 pandemic was first reported in 2019,it has rapidly spread around the *** countries implemented several measures to try to control the virus *** healthcare system and consequently the general quality of life population in the cities have all been significantly impacted by the coronavirus *** different waves of contagious were responsible for the increase in the number of cases that,unfortunately,many times lead to *** this paper,we aim to characterize the dynamics of the six waves of cases and deaths caused by cOVID-19 in Rio de Janeiro city using techniques such as the poincaréplot,approximate entropy,second-order difference plot,and central tendency *** results reveal that by examining the structure and patterns of the time series,using a set of non-linear techniques we can gain a better understanding of the role of multiple waves of cOVID-19,also,we can identify underlying dynamics of disease spreading and extract meaningful information about the dynamical behavior of epidemiological time *** findings can help to closely approximate the dynamics of virus spread and obtain a correlation between the different stages of the disease,allowing us to identify and categorize the stages due to different virus variants that are reflected in the time series.

Episodes of drought-induced decline in tree growth and mortality are becoming more frequent as a result of climate warming and enhanced water stress in semi-arid ***,the ecophysiological mechanisms under-lying the impact of drought on tree growth remains *** this study,earlywood and latewood tree-ring growth,δ^(13)c,andδ^(18)O chronologies of picea mongolica from 1900 to 2013 were developed to clarify the intra-and inter-annual tree-ring growth responses to increasingly fre-quent *** results indicate that annual basal area increment residuals(BAI_(res)),which removed tree age and size effects,have significantly decreased since ***-ever,the decreasing trend of earlywood BAI_(res) was higher than that of *** response analysis suggests that the dominant parameters for earlywood and latewood proxies(BAI_(res),δ^(13)c andδ^(18)O)were drought-related climate variables(palmer drought severity index,temperature,rela-tive humidity,and vapor pressure deficit).The most signifi-cant period of earlywood and latewood proxies’responses to climate variables were focused on June-July and July-August,***_(res),andδ^(13)c were significantly affected by temperature and moisture conditions,whereasδ^(18)O was slightly *** stomatal conduct-ance due to drought outweighed the influence of increasing cO_(2) on intrinsic water use efficiency(iWUE),and ultimately led to a decline in BAI_(res).compared to latewood,the faster decreasing BAI_(res) and smaller increasing iWUE of early-wood suggested trees were more vulnerable to water stress in the early growing *** study provides insights into the inter-and intra-annual mechanisms of tree-ring growth in semi-arid regions under rising cO_(2) and climate change.

High-entropy(HE)ultra-high temperature ceramics have the chance to pave the way for future applications propelling technology advantages in the fields of energy conversion and extreme environmental *** others,HE diborides stand out owing to their intrinsic anisotropic layered structure and ability to withstand ultra-high ***,we employed in-situ high-resolution synchrotron diffraction over a plethora of multicomponent compositions,with four to seven transition metals,with the intent of understanding the thermal lattice expansion following different composition or synthesis *** a result,we were able to control the average thermal expansion(TE)from 1.3×10^(−6)to 6.9×10^(−6)K^(−1)depending on the combination of metals,with a variation of in-plane to out-of-plane TE ratio ranging from 1.5 to 2.8.

The leader propagation is one of the most important stages in long air gap *** mechanism behind leader re-illumination remains *** high humidity conditions(20.0–30.1 g/m^(3)),we have conducted experiments of long sparks in a 10 m ultra-high voltage(UHV)transmission line gap under switching impulse *** positive leaders predominantly propagate discontinuously,with almost no significantly continuous propagation *** leader channels are intensely luminous and each elongation segment is straight,with streamers resembling the“branch type”which differs from the“diffuse type”streamers at the front of continuous propagation *** distribution of the propagation velocities is highly random(3.7–18.4 cm/μs),and the average velocity(9.2 cm/μs)significantly exceeds that of continuous propagation(1.5–2.0 cm/μs).Analysis suggests that the current-velocity models suitable for continuous leader propagation do not align well with the experimental data in re-illumination *** on the discharge current waveforms and optical images,it is speculated that the newly elongated leader in re-illumination mode does not evolve gradually from the stem(about 1 cm)but rather evolves overall from a thermal channel much longer than stem.

AIM:To investigate the effects of exogenous testosterone treatment on the choroidal parameters in patients with androgen ***:Right eyes of 24 patients with androgen deficiency and 31 healthy volunteers were included in the *** eyes were scanned for subfoveal choroidal thickness(sFcT),choroidal vascularity index(cVI),choroidstromal area(c-sA),choroid-luminal area(c-LA),choroidstromal to luminal area ratio(csLR),and the choroidal parameters within central 1500μm of the macula(cVI1500,c-LA1500,c-sA1500,and csLR1500)by enhanced-depth imaging optical coherence tomography(EDI-OcT)at baseline,6th and 18th weeks of the exogenous testosterone ***:The mean sFcT values of the androgen deficient groups and healthy controls were 307.7±27.0 and 303.2±37.2μm(p=0.8).However,cVI,c-sA,csLR,cVI1500,c-LA1500,and csLR1500 were significantly different between the groups(all psit after exogenous testosterone treatment,sFcT,cVI,c-LA,and c-sA were significantly decreased,and these parameters returned to baseline levels at the 18th-week visit(all p>0.05).However,cVI1500 and LA1500 significantly increased at the end of the follow-up period(pcONcLUsION:cVI is lower in androgen-deficient patients than in healthy *** alterations in the choroid during the testosterone peak are transient in the treatment of patients with androgen ***,the increase in cVI within the central 1500μm of the macula persists even after 4mo.
