Microwave diagnostics of pulsed atmospheric discharge with electrolytic electrode and long-lived luminous formation in its afterglow

The Gatchina discharge phenomenon holds significant promise as a laboratory model for simulating ball ***,crucial aspects concerning the plasma components of the resulting afterglow remain ***,the measurement of the electron density,a critical parameter,has not been fully achieved thus *** this study,microwave diagnostics and video recording were employed during a pulsed Gatchina discharge,along with synchronous measurement of discharge current and *** antennas were positioned at different heights to enable separate diagnosis of the discharge and the ensuing long-lived *** findings revealed that during the active phase of the Gatchina discharge,the plasma density was substantial enough to cause reflection of an electromagnetic wave with a frequency of 20 GHz from this highly conductive *** the afterglow,the signal experienced only a moderate weakening of 10–20 percent,facilitating the determination of the time dependence of average electron density during the afterglow's passage between the two *** measurements verified the unusually slow plasma decay in the afterglow of the Gatchina discharge,suggesting the potential significance of chemi-ionisation processes involving long-lived(metastable)particles.

A new theoretical method to study super-multiperiod superlattices has been *** method combines the precision of the 8-band kp-method with the flexibility of the shooting method and the Monte Carlo *** method was applied to examine the finest quality samples of super-multiperiod Al_(0.3)Ga_(0.7)As/GaAs superlattices grown by molecular beam *** express photoreflectance spectroscopy method was utilized to validate the proposed theoretical *** the first time,the accurate theoretical analysis of the energy band diagram of super-multiperiod superlattices with experimental verification has been *** proposed approach highly accurately determines transition peak positions and enables the calculation of the energy band diagram,transition energies,relaxation rates,and gain *** has achieved a remarkably low 5%error compared to the commonly used method,which typically results in a 25%error,and allowed to recover the superlattice *** retrieved intrinsic parameters of the samples aligned with XRD data and growth *** proposed method also accurately predicted the escape of the second energy level for quantum well thicknesses less than 5 nm,as was observed in photoreflectance *** new designs of THz light-emitting devices operating at room temperature were suggested by the developed method.

Electric properties of La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)CoO_3 nanoceramics

The electric measurements were carried out for La0.8Sr0.2CoO3 nanoceramics by using impedance spectroscopy methods. The resistance of sample was practically independent of frequency in measurement range. Its dependence on reciprocal temperature showed quite complicated mechanism of conduction. The most striking property of investigated sample was its resistance decreasing with increasing applied polarization.

NdCoO_(3)nanocrystals formed via glycine-nitrate combustion method followed by heat treatment has been systematically *** of NdCoO_(3)nanocrystals with minimal size of 7-10 nm from X-ray amorphous combustion products has been elucidated to be a very rapid process,occurring at the temperature of 550-600℃for5-30 *** comparison of the minimum sizes of NdCoO_(3)crystallites obtained from the offered empirical relation dmin=lunit cell·N(where N is 7-12 and‘unit cellis elementary cell parameter)and the data determined on the basis of X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)showed good *** existence of special nanoporous microstructure and spatial limitations prevent NdCoO_(3)particle *** kinetic equation based on Avrami-Erofeev nucleation model was offered to be correlated well with experimental data of fractional conversion(a)versus isothermal time(s).The apparent activation energy(Ea=(338±32)kJ)of formation of NdCoO_(3)nanocrystals from X-ray amorphous combustion products obtained in excess of oxidant followed by heat treatment at 550-600℃was determined.

Models of the pointed interactions approximately describing real interactions of nuclear particles in quantum mechanics are considered. The concept of “a dot cluster”—a complex of charges which at the zero size create possibility of localization of a trial particle in the field of the final size is entered. States in one-dimensional systems, and also in three-dimensional systems with “a local isotropy” are studied. The conditions of dot systems characterized by the nonzero, including fractional, orbital moment were studied.

Conductivity and electric properties of La_(1-x)Sr_xMnO_(3-δ)nanopowders

La1-xSrxMnO3-δ was synthesized by the Pechini＇s method. The XRD pattern and TEM indicate the formation of the perovskite without the presence of secondary phases. It was found that La0.8Sr0.2MnO3-δsample prepared at 1000℃ in air atmospheres, contains about 13.11% of the manganese as Mn4＋ and 86.89% of the manganese as Mn3＋. The electric measurements were carded out for La0.8Sr0.2MnO3-δ nanoceramics by using impedance spectroscopy methods and found to be 0.1 S/cm at 250 ℃ similar to the typical value of La0.8Sr0.2MnO3-δ materials. Its dependence on reciprocal temperature shows quite complicated mechanism of conduction.

Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is a common complication of pregnancy and a serious public health *** carries significant risks of short-term and longterm adverse health effects for both mothers and their *** factors,especially modifiable risk factors,must be considered to prevent GDM and its *** studies have identified several nutritional and lifestyle factors associated with the risk of *** results of intervention studies examining the effects of diet and lifestyle on the prevention of GDM are *** in the study populations,types and intensity of intervention,time frame of the intervention,and diagnostic criteria for GDM may explain the heterogeneity in the results of intervention *** review provides an overview of new diets and other factors that may help prevent *** main results of epidemiological studies assessing the risk factors for GDM,as well as the results and methodological problems of intervention studies on the prevention of GDM and their meta-analyses,are *** addition,the evidence that gene and lifestyle interactions influence the development of GDM,as well as prospects for increasing the effectiveness of interventions designed to prevent GDM,including new data on the possible uses of personalized diet therapy,are highlighted.
