Phytochemical analysis, antioxidant, acetylcholinesterase, and α-amylase inhibitors from Hippeastrum hybridum extract

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of Hippeastrum hybridum（HH） as a free radical scavenger,and an inhibitor of the two enzymes i-e Alpha-amylase（α-amylase） and acetylcholinesterase（AChE）.METHODS:In this study,HH plant was preliminary analyzed for phytochemical screening and then tested for its antioxidant,anti-α-amylase,and anti-AChE efficiency via standard ***:Phytochemical analysis shows the existence of different compounds;while Coumarins and quinones were *** total phenolic,flavonoid,and tannins content were found to be（78.52±0.69） mg GAE/g,（2.01±0.04） mg RUE/g,and（58.12±0.23） mg TAE/g of plant extract respectively.28.02%±0.02% alkaloid and 2.02%±0.05% saponins were present in the HH *** HH extract showed the anti-oxidant property with IC50（50%inhibition） of（151.01±0.13）(HH),（79.01±0.04）(Ascorbic acid) for ferric reducing,（91.48±0.13）(HH),（48.02±0.11）(Ascorbic acid) against Ammonium molybdenum,（156.02±0.31）(HH),（52.38±0.21）(Ascorbic acid) against DPPH,136.01±0.21（HH）,52.02±0.31（Ascorbic acid） against H2O2,and 154.12±0.03（HH）,（40.05±0.15）(Ascorbic acid)μg/mL against ABTS *** analysis indicated that HH caused a competitive type of inhibition of α-amylase(Vmaxremained constant and Km increases from 10.65 to84.37%) while Glucophage caused the un-competitive type of inhibition i-e both Km and Vmaxdecreased from40.49 to 69.15%and 38.86 to 69.61%*** Ki,（inhibition constant）;KI,（dissociation constant）,Km,（Michaelis-Menten constant）,and IC50 were found to be62,364,68.1,and 38.08±0.22 for HH and 12,101.05,195,34.01±0.21 for ***,HH causes an anon-competitive type of inhibition of AChE i-e Km remains constant while Vmaxdecreases from 60.5%to74.1%.The calculated Ki,KI,Km,and IC50 were found to be 32,36.2,0.05,and 18.117±***:From the current results,it is concluded that HH extract contains bioactive compounds,and could be a good alternative to controlling oxidants,Alzheimer‘s and T

We investigated the parametric optimization on incremental sheet forming of stainless steel using Grey Relational Analysis(GRA) coupled with Principal Component Analysis(PCA). AISI 316L stainless steel sheets were used to develop double wall angle pyramid with aid of tungsten carbide tool. GRA coupled with PCA was used to plan the experiment conditions. Control factors such as Tool Diameter(TD), Step Depth(SD), Bottom Wall Angle(BWA), Feed Rate(FR) and Spindle Speed(SS) on Top Wall Angle(TWA) and Top Wall Angle Surface Roughness(TWASR) have been studied. Wall angle increases with increasing tool diameter due to large contact area between tool and workpiece. As the step depth, feed rate and spindle speed increase,TWASR decreases with increasing tool diameter. As the step depth increasing, the hydrostatic stress is raised causing severe cracks in the deformed surface. Hence it was concluded that the proposed hybrid method was suitable for optimizing the factors and response.

As the demands of massive connections and vast coverage rapidly grow in the next wireless communication networks, rate splitting multiple access(RSMA) is considered to be the new promising access scheme since it can provide higher efficiency with limited spectrum resources. In this paper, combining spectrum splitting with rate splitting, we propose to allocate resources with traffic offloading in hybrid satellite terrestrial networks. A novel deep reinforcement learning method is adopted to solve this challenging non-convex problem. However, the neverending learning process could prohibit its practical implementation. Therefore, we introduce the switch mechanism to avoid unnecessary learning. Additionally, the QoS constraint in the scheme can rule out unsuccessful transmission. The simulation results validates the energy efficiency performance and the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm.

The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the internal consistency and construct validity of a self-report checklist measuring clinical mental health recovery across six key domains:family and relationships,occupation and school,physical health,mental health,spirituality,and social support *** Mental Health Recovery Checklist(MHRC)was developed at The Dorm,an intensive outpatient mental health treatment program for young adults in New York,NY,and Washington DC that services individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years *** present study is cross-sectional,as data were pulled from clients’records who were discharged between January 2018 and May *** Correlations and Cronbach’s alpha were used to determine scale *** establish validity,an Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA)was conducted to assess a single-factor model using Principal Axis ***’s alpha was high(α=0.88),indicating good *** the EFA,all items loaded strongly on a single *** unidimensional structure revealed in the EFA highlights the interconnected nature of various life domains as they pertain to mental health recovery in young *** research is warranted to explore whether there are additional dimensions of mental health recovery that have not been assessed in the present scale.

The polymer translocation through a nanopore from a donor space(or named cis side) to a receiver space(trans side) in the chaperone-induced crowded environment has attracted increasing attention in recent years due to its significance in biological systems and technological applications. In this work, we mainly focus on the effects of chaperone concentration and chaperone-polymer interaction on the polymer translocation. By assuming the polymer translocation to be a quasi-equilibrium process, the free energy F of the polymer can be estimated by Rosenbluth-Rosenbluth method and then the translocation time τ can be calculated by Fokker-Plank equation based on the obtained free energy landscape. Our calculation results show that the translocation time can be controlled by independently tuning the chaperone concentration and chaperone-polymer interaction at the cis side or the trans side. There exists a critical chaperone-polymer attraction ε~*=-0.2 at which the volume exclusion and interaction effects of the chaperone can balance each other. Additionally, we also find that at large chaperone-polymer attraction, the translocation time is mainly governed by the diffusion coefficient of the polymer.

This paper proposes design charts for estimating imperative input parameters for continuum approach analysis of the nonlinear dynamic response of *** and analytical studies using continuum approach have been conducted on single and 2×2 grouped piles under coupled and vertical modes of vibration,for different dynamic forces and pile *** these design charts are derived from model piles,the charts have been validated for prototype pile foundations using scaling *** experimental responses of model piles are scaled up and these responses exhibit good agreement with analytical *** study also extends to estimation of the errors in computing frequency–amplitude responses with an increase in pile *** is found that,with an increase in pile length,the errors also *** effectiveness of the proposed design charts is also checked with data based on different field setups given in existing literature,and these charts are found to be ***,the developed design charts can be beneficial in estimating the input parameters for continuum approach analysis for determining the nonlinear responses of pile supported machine foundations.

This study is focused on the effect of vibration induced by moving trains in tunnels on the surrounding ground and structures.A three-dimensional finite element model is established for a one-track railway tunnel and an adjacent twelve-storey building frame by using commercial software Midas GTS-NX(2019)and Midas *** study considered the moving load effect of a complete train,which varies with space as well as with *** effect of factors such as train speed,overburden pressure on the tunnel and variation in soil properties are studied in the time *** a result,the variations in horizontal and vertical acceleration for two different sites,i.e.,the free ground surface(without structure)and the area containing the structure,are ***,the displacement pattern of the raft foundation is plotted for different train *** lower speeds,the heaving phenomenon is negligible,but as the speed increases,both the heaving and differential settlement increase in the *** study demonstrates that the effect of moving train vibrations should be considered in the design of new nearby structures and proper ground improvement should be considered for existing structures.

Silicon carbide(SiC)is recognized as an excellent material for microelectromechanical systems(MEMS),especially those operating in challenging environments,such as high temperature,high radiation,and corrosive ***,SiC bulk micromachining is still a challenge,which hinders the development of complex SiC *** address this problem,we present the use of a carbon nanotube(CNT)array coated with amorphous SiC(a-SiC)as an alternative composite material to enable high aspect ratio(HAR)surface *** using a prepatterned catalyst layer,a HAR CNT array can be grown as a structural template and then densified by uniformly filling the CNT bundle with LPCVD *** electrical properties of the resulting SiC-CNT composite were characterized,and the results indicated that the electrical resistivity was dominated by the *** demonstrate the use of this composite in MEMS applications,a capacitive accelerometer was designed,fabricated,and *** fabrication results showed that the composite is fully compatible with the manufacturing of surface micromachining *** Young’s modulus of the composite was extracted from the measured spring constant,and the results show a great improvement in the mechanical properties of the CNTs after coating with *** accelerometer was electrically characterized,and its functionality was confirmed using a mechanical shaker.
