Genome-wide association mapping studies(GWAS)based on Big data are a potential approach to improve marker-assisted selection in plant *** number of available phenotypic and genomic data sets in which medium-sized populations of several hundred individuals have been studied is rapidly *** these data and using them in GWAS could increase both the power of QTL discovery and the accuracy of estimation of underlying genetic effects,but is hindered by data heterogeneity and lack of *** this study,we used genomic and phenotypic data sets,focusing on Central european winter wheat populations evaluated for heading *** explored strategies for integrating these data and subsequently the resulting potential for *** interoperability between data sets was greatly aided by some overlapping genotypes and a linear relationship between the different phenotyping protocols,resulting in high quality integrated phenotypic *** this context,genomic prediction proved to be a suitable tool to study relevance of interactions between genotypes and experimental series,which was low in our *** to expectations,fewer associations between markers and traits were found in the larger combined data than in the individual experimental ***,the predictive power based on the marker-trait associations of the integrated data set was higher across data ***,the results show that the integration of medium-sized to Big data is an approach to increase the power to detect QTL in *** results encourage further efforts to standardize and share data in the plant breeding community.

Jet grouting is one of the most popular soil improvement techniques,but its design usually involves great uncertainties that can lead to economic cost overruns in construction *** high dispersion in the properties of the improved material leads to designers assuming a conservative,arbitrary and unjustified strength,which is even sometimes subjected to the results of the test *** present paper presents an approach for prediction of the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of jet grouting columns based on the analysis of several machine learning algorithms on a database of 854 results mainly collected from different research *** selected machine learning model(extremely randomized trees)relates the soil type and various parameters of the technique to the value of the compressive *** the complex mechanism that surrounds the jet grouting process,evidenced by the high dispersion and low correlation of the variables studied,the trained model allows to optimally predict the values of compressive strength with a significant improvement with respect to the existing ***,this work proposes for the first time a reliable and easily applicable approach for estimation of the compressive strength of jet grouting columns.

Metaverse is a virtual environment where users are represented by their avatars to navigate a virtual world having strong links with its physical *** state-of-the-art Metaverse architectures rely on a cloud-based approach for avatar physics emulation and graphics rendering *** current centralized architecture of such systems is unfavorable as it suffers from several drawbacks caused by the long latency of cloud access,such as low-quality *** this end,we propose a Fog-edge hybrid computing architecture for Metaverse applications that leverage an edge-enabled distributed computing *** applications leverage edge devices’computing power to perform the required computations for heavy tasks,such as collision detection in the virtual universe and high-computational 3d physics in virtual *** computational costs of a Metaverse entity,such as collision detection or physics emulation,are performed at the device of the associated physical *** validate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture,we simulate a distributed social Metaverse *** simulation results show that the proposed architecture can reduce the latency by 50%when compared with cloud-based Metaverse applications.

In this paper,we study compressed data separation(CdS)problem,i.e.,sparse data separation from a few linear random *** propose the nonconvex ℓ_(q)-split analysis with ℓ_(∞)-constraint and 0e algorithm ℓ_(q)-split-analysis dantzig selector(ℓ_(q)-split-analysis dS).We show that the two distinct subcomponents that are approximately sparse in terms of two different dictionaries could be stably approximated via the ℓ_(q)-split-analysis dS,provided that the measurement matrix satisfies either a classical d-RIp(Restricted Isometry property with respect to dictionaries and ℓ_(2) norm)or a relatively new(d,q)-RIp(RIp with respect to dictionaries and ℓ_(q)-quasi norm)condition and the two different dictionaries satisfy a mutual coherence condition between *** the Gaussian random measurements,the measurement number needed for the(d,q)-RIp condition is far less than those needed for the d-RIp condition and the(d,1)-RIp condition when q is small enough.

In order to evaluate the performance of deep geological disposal of radioactive waste,an underground research laboratory(URL)was constructed by Andra in the Callovo-Oxfordian(COx)claystone formation at the Meuse/Haute-Marne(MHM).The construction of URL induced the excavation damage of host formations,and the ventilation in the galleries desaturated the host formation close to the gallery ***,it is expected that the mechanical behaviour of COx claystone is *** study presents a constitutive model developed to describe the viscoplastic behaviour of unsaturated and damaged COx *** this model,the unsaturation effect is considered by adopting the Bishop effective stress and the van Genuchten(VG)water retention *** terms of the viscoplastic behaviour,the nonstationary flow surface(NSFS)theory for unsaturated soils is used with consideration of the coupled effects of strain rate and suction on the yield stress.A progressive hardening law is ***,a non-associated flow rule is used,which is similar to that in Barcelona basic model(BBM).In addition,to describe the damage effect induced by suction change and viscoplastic loading,a damage function is defined based on the crack volume *** damage function contains two variables:unsaturated effective stress and viscoplastic volumetric strain,with the related parameters determined based on the mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIp)*** the model validation,different tests on COx claystone under different loading paths are *** between experimental and simulated results indicated that the present model is able to well describe the viscoplastic behaviour of damaged COx claystone,including swelling/shrinkage,triaxial extension and compression,and triaxial creep.
