Dengue is a public health problem that presents complexity in its dissemination. The physical means of spreading and the dynamics of the spread between the municipalities need to be analyzed to guide effective public policies to combat this problem. This study shows a correlation between the exponent of criticality present in SOC (self-organized criticality) and the number of buses per week, identifying municipalities that exert important roles in the spread of dengue in Bahia, confirming transport as a physical means for the diffusion of dengue.

The southern part of the Caspian Sea shoreline in Iran with a length of 813 km has different topographic *** to sea fluctuation,these zones have various dimensions in different *** the last years,the Caspian Sea experienced enormous destructive *** historical information and tidal gauge measurements showed different ranges of sea rise from30 m to22 m from the mean sea *** the other hand,the probable flooding zone is related to slope gradient of *** help the determination of the probable flooding area owing to sea level rises,the coastal zones can be modelled using geographic information system(GIS)environment as vulnerability risk *** rates would be useful for making decisions in coastal management *** study examined different scenarios of sea rise to determine hazard-flooding rates in the coastal cities of the Mazandaran province and classified them based on vulnerability risk *** 1:2000 scale topographic maps of the coastal zones were prepared to extract topographic information and construct the coastal digital elevation *** the presumption of half-metre sea rise scenarios,the digital elevation models classified eight scenarios from26 to22 *** flooding areas in each scenario computed for 11 cities *** vulnerability risk rate in each rise scenario was computed by dividing the flooded area of each scenario to city *** results showed that in the first four scenarios,from26 to24 m,the Behshahr,Joibar,Neka and Babolsar cites would be more vulnerable than other ***,for the second four scenarios from24 to22 m sea level rise scenario,only the coastal area of Chalous city would be *** was also observed that the coastal region of Behshahr would be critical in total *** studies would be necessary to complete this assessment by considering social-economic and land use information to estimate the exact hazardous and vulnerable zones.

世界卫生组织认定无机砷为危害全球公众健康的十大化学物质之一.学术界普遍认为地下水中无机砷源自地层,非人为污染所致,从基岩或经风化搬运形成的松散沉积物含水层中释放进入地下水,但鲜见岩石圈砷异常的报道.本研究对银川平原高砷地下水系统中沉积物的物源和砷源开展了定量溯源,构建了基于粒度、无机化学参数(Fe/Al和Si/Al比)及有机碳-13和碳-14的无机物源、有机物源及砷源端元模型,发现沉积物中存在贺兰山和黄河等岩石圈源之外的“过量砷”;结合环青藏高原多个高砷地下水区文献数据分析,发现可通过As/Fe摩尔比大于0.0003识别沉积物砷异常.鉴于砷在地表-地下水交互界面的氧化次生富集,提出该异常源自水圈,可循环进入地下水“再生”.这可解释全球高砷地下水冲洪积平原上游地区无显著岩石圈砷异常之谜.

Comparative Analysis of Microwave Brightness Temperature Data in Northeast China Using AMSR-E and MWRI Products

With such significant advantages as all-day observation, penetrability and all-weather coverage, passive mi-crowave remote sensing technique has been widely applied in the research of global environmental change. As the sat-ellite-based passive microwave remote sensor, the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-earth Observing Sys-tem (AMSR-E) loaded on NASA's (National Aeronautics and Space Administration of USA) Aqua satellite has been popularly used in the field of microwave observation. The Microwave Radiation Imager (MWRI) loaded on the Chi-nese FengYun-3A (FY-3A) satellite is an AMSR-E-like conical scanning microwave sensor, but there are few reports about MWRI data. This paper firstly proposed an optimal spatial position matching algorithm from rough to exact for the position matching between AMSR-E and MWRI data, then taking Northeast China as an example, comparatively analyzed the microwave brightness temperature data derived from AMSR-E and MWRI. The results show that when the antenna footprints of the two sensors are filled with either full water, or full land, or mixed land and water with ap-proximate proportion, the errors of brightness temperature between AMSR-E and MWRI are usually in the range from -10 K to +10 K. In general, the residual values of brightness temperature between the two microwave sensors with the same spatial resolution are in the range of ±3 K. Because the spatial resolution of AMSR-E is three times as high as that of MWRI, the results indicate that the quality of MWRI data is better. The research can provide useful information for the MWRI data application and microwave unmixing method in the future.

The changes of magnetic susceptibility (κ) are correlated with those of corresponding sedimentological, geochemical, mineralogical and biological results, which verifies that κ can be taken as one of the environmental proxies. However, usually the exact origin of magnetic signal is poorly understood, and is difficult to relate with the environmental evolution. Magnetic properties of material derived from the catchment and sedimentary environment may affect the accumulation, preservation, or authigenesis and diagenesis of magnetic minerals. In the Lake Hulun region in Inner Mongolia, it is found that muddy sediments, deposited during high water level period (corresponding to humid climate), have comparatively high κ values. In contrast, the sandy sediments, deposited during low water level period (corresponding to arid climate), have low κ values. The Kitaev spin liquid(KSL) system has attracted tremendous attention in recent years because of its fundamental significance in condensed matter physics and promising applications in fault-tolerant topological quantum *** realization of such a system remains a major challenge in the field due to the unusual configuration of anisotropic spin interactions,though great effort has been made *** we reveal that rare-earth chalcohalides REChX(RE=rare earth;Ch=O,S,Se,Te;X=F,Cl,Br,I) can serve as a family of KSL *** family members have the typical SmSI-type structure with a high symmetry of R3m,and rare-earth magnetic ions form an undistorted honeycomb *** strong spin-orbit coupling of 4f electrons intrinsically offers anisotropic spin interactions as required by the Kitaev *** have grown the crystals of YbOCl and synthesized the polycrystals of SmSI,ErOF,HoOF and DyOF,and made careful structural *** carry out magnetic and heat capacity measurements down to 1.8 K and find no obvious magnetic transition in all the samples but *** van der Waals interlayer coupling highlights the true two-dimensionality of the family which is vital for the exact realization of Abelian/non-Abelian anyons,and the graphene-like feature will be a prominent advantage for developing miniaturized *** family is expected to act as an inspiring material platform for the exploration of KSL physics.

Background:Bacterial diarrhea is one of the most common causes for medical consultations,mortality and morbidity in the *** Escherichia coli(DEC)and non-typhoidal Salmonella(NTS)are major intestinal pathogens in developing countries,and the indiscriminate use of antibiotics has greatly contributed to resistant ***,the aim of the present study is to identify the antimicrobial resistance patterns and the molecular characteristics of DEC and NTS in southwest,***:1121 diarrheal patients and 319 non-diarrheal subjects across all age groups were recruited from four sentinel hospitals from June 2014 to July 2015 in Kunming City,Yunnan *** stool specimen was collected to detect DEC and NTS with standard microbiological and molecular *** resistance testing was performed with the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method,and the standards for antimicrobial susceptibility testing complied with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI).Molecular characterization of strains was carried out using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis(PFGE).A structured questionnaire was used to record basic epidemiological data(***,age,residence,season,etc.).Data were analyzed using Chi-square or Fisher’s exact ***:DEC was detected in 127(11.33%)diarrhea cases and 9(2.82%)non-diarrheal cases(χ^(2)=20.69,P<0.001,OR=4.36,95%CI:2.19-8.65),and the prevalence of NTS isolated from diarrhea cases was higher than that of non-diarrheal cases across all age groups(n=42,3.75%,n=1,0.31%,χ^(2)=10.10,P=0.002,OR=12.38,95%CI:1.70-90.29).The rates of resistance to ten antibiotics of DEC and NTS showed significant differences(χ^(2)=386.77,P<0.001;χ^(2)=191.16,P<0.001).The rates of resistance to Amoxicillin and Clavulafiate(AMC),Cephalothin(CEP),Gentamicin(GEN)and Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim(SXT)of DEC isolated from diarrhea cases were higher than those of NTS isolated from diarrhea patients(37.01%vs 14.29%,χ^(2)=7.57,P=0.006;29.92%vs 11.
