CO oxidation under lean and stoichiometric conditions over ceriazirconia with very low metal contents(Cu,Co,ag and Pt)

In this work,several ceria-zirconia based catalysts with very lo w(and equimolar) metal contents were prepared,characterised and tested for the CO oxidatio n reaction(under lean and stoichiometric conditions),trying to emulate those conditions found in a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) system from a diesel engine and those encountered under gasoline exhaust(λ=1).The metals chosen are Cu,Co,ag and Pt(as a reliable benchmark).The results reveal enormous differences among reducibility and catalytic activity despite quite similar structural and textural properties of the catalysts,showing differences among dispersion(ag-catalyst seems to present a low level of dispersion).This catalyst seems to be characterised,as well,by a strong electronic interaction between Ce and ag centres which is suggested to yield an improved reducibility under H_(2)-TPR ***,the order in catalytic activity(Cu>ag>Co≈Pt>>support) seems not to follow the order found in reducibility and the Cu-catalyst seems to be the most active independently on the reaction conditions,yielding nearly overlapped CO oxidation catalytic *** restingly,a stro ng correlation between the catalytic activity under the two conditions tested and the OSC values of the Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(2)-supported metal catalysts is ***,OSC parameter measured at 150℃ can be used as a relevant descriptor to evaluate the CO oxidation activity at low and medium conversions for the investigated catalysts,much better than the H_(2)-TPR measurements.

Three-dimensional geochemical modeling of ore-forming elements is crucial for predicting deep *** approach provides key information for the quantitative prediction of deep mineral localization,three-dimensional fine interpolation,analysis of spatial distribution patterns,and extraction of quantitative mineral-seeking *** Yechangping molybdenum(Mo)deposit is a significant and extensive porphyry-skarn deposit in the East Qinling-Dabie Mo polymetallic metallogenic belt at the southern margin of the North China *** borehole data on oreforming elements underpin deep geochemical *** methodology includes the following steps:(1)Threedimensional geological modeling of the deposit was established.(2)Correlation,cluster,and factor analyses post delineation of mineralization stages and determination of mineral generation sequence to identify(Cu,Pb,Zn,ag)and(Mo,W,mfe)assemblages.(3)A three-dimensional geochemical block model was constructed for Mo,W,mfe,Cu,Zn,Pb,and ag using the ordinary kriging method,and the variational function was developed.(4)Spatial distribution and enrichment characteristics analysis of ore-forming elements are performed to extract geological information,employing the variogram and w(Cu+Pb+Zn+ag)/w(Mo+W)as predictive indicators.(5)Identifying the western,northwestern,and southwestern areas of the mine with limited mineralization potential,contrasted by the northeastern and southeastern areas favorable for mineral exploration.

Phage lytic proteins: a natural approach to agro-food safety

Sustainability is a leading trend in the context of food production. Additionally， consumers increasingly demand safer and less-processed products. Among the different technologies used to maintain the quality and extend the shelf-life of fresh and minimally-processed food， natural antimicrobial agents offer a promising strategy to replace conventional compounds. In this regard， phage lytic proteins or lysins， such as endolysins and virion-associated peptidoglycan hydrolases (VAPGHs)， have been proposed as a viable option for the avoidance and elimination of undesirable bacteria within the food production chain. Even when applied exogenously， these proteins can degrade the bacterial cell wall maintaining their lytic activity. This feature， alongside their modular structure， which can be exploited for bioengineering， provides significant biotechnological potential. However， despite the promising properties of lysins， the main obstacle for their commercialization is the limited legal information regulating their use. This challenge underscores the need to navigate complex regulatory pathways. The primary objective of this review is to address this crucial gap and summarize the many prospective applications of endolysins during the different stages of food production. By doing so， we aim to provide clarity and insight into the regulatory challenges that must be overcome for the successful utilization of lysins.

Anisotropic deformation for local shape control

We present a novel approach to mesh deformation that enables simple context sensitive manipulation of 3 D geometry. The method is based on locally anisotropic transformations and is extended to global control directions. This allows intuitive directional modeling within an easy to implement framework. The proposed method complements current sculpting paradigms by providing further possibilities for intuitive surface-based editing without the need for additional host geometries. We show the anisotropic deformation to be seamlessly transferable to free boundary parameterization methods, which allows us to solve the hard problem of flattening compression garments in the domain of apparel design.

Effectiveness of Acupoint Application in Patients with Pharyngeal Pain: Evidence from CHUNBO, A Prospective Real-World Study

Objective: To assess the outcomes after acupoint application in patients with pharyngeal pain in a real-world settings, and analyze the characteristics of effective population and prescription characteristics of acupoint application. Methods: Based on CHUNBO platform, patients with pharyngeal pain who were candidates for acupoint application on the basis of physician-evaluation, were enrolled in a nationwide, prospective, 69-week multicenter observational study from August 2020 to February 2022. Propensity score matching(PSM) was used to match the confounding factors and the association rules were used to analyze the characteristics of effective population and prescription characteristics of acupoint application. Outcome assessments included the disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain(within 3, 7, and 14 days), disappearance time of pharyngeal pain, as well as adverse events. Results: Of 7,699 enrolled participants, 6,693(86.9%) received acupoint application and 1,450(21.7%) with non-acupoint application. After PSM, there were 1,004 patients each in the application group(ag) and non-application group(Nag). The disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain in the ag at 3, 7, and 14 days were all higher than those in the Nag(Pag were shorter than that in the Nag(logrank Page of effective cases was 4 years, mainly 3–6 years old(40.21%). Ti and Zr amino-tris(phenolate) catalysts for the synthesis of cyclic carbonates from CO_(2) and epoxides

Herein,we report the application of four amino-tris(phenolate)-based metal complexes incorporating Ti(IV)or Zr(IV)centres(2a-3b)as homogeneous catalysts for the conversion of CO_(2)and epoxides into cyclic *** four complexes were synthesised,characterised and then evaluated in combination with tetrabutylammo-nium iodide,bromide or chloride as binary catalytic systems for the reaction of CO_(2)with 1,2-epoxyhexane as epoxide substrate at 12 bar CO_(2)pressure and 90?C for 2 *** catalytic systems comprising the two Ti(IV)complexes(2a and 2b)showed similar *** notable exception was the catalytic system consisting of titanium complex 2b,bearing an axial Cl-ligand,and tetrabutylammonium chloride,which displayed higher catalytic activity compared to other titanium-based *** higher activity was achieved with Zr(IV)complex 3a,bearing an axial isopropoxide ligand,which reached turnover numbers(TON metal)up to 1920 for the reaction of CO_(2)with 1,2-epoxyhexane at 12 bar CO_(2)pressure and 90?C for 2 *** performance is comparable with that of state-of-the-art catalysts for this *** catalytic system consisting of complex 3a and tetra-butylammonium bromide was explored further by investigating its applicability with a broad substrate scope,achieving quantitative conversion of several epoxides with CO_(2)into cyclic carbonate products at 90?C and 12 bar CO_(2)pressure for 18 *** selectivity towards the cyclic carbonate products was?98%for all studied terminal epoxides and?80%for all examined cyclohexene-type epoxides.
