It is known that injection of carbon dioxide into the petroleum reservoir(CO_(2) flooding) is one of the effective methods for enhanced oil recovery. CO_(2) flooding may be complicated by formation of CO_(2) hydrate plugs. It makes topical investigation of CO_(2) hydrate formation in the system gaseous CO_(2)-oil-water. In this work, the growth rates of carbon dioxide hydrate films at the water-oil as well as the water-gas interface are studied in the pressure range of 2.30-3.04 MPa and at temperatures between -5.4 and 5.0℃. It is found that the growth rate for the water-oil interface is 3.5 times lower than that for the water-gas interface with carbon dioxide. It is hypothesised that the observed decrease in the growth rate is related to the mechanical resistance of the oil components adsorbed on the interface to the growth of the hydrate film. The growth rate of the film has been shown to depend on the experimental procedure,most likely due to the different initial concentrations of carbon dioxide in the aqueous solutions.

Synthesis of Intermetallic Compounds by Using Lithium Hudride

Intermetallic compounds of AB 5 type are promising materials for M-H batteries. In this report we present the results about the influence of quality of intermetallic compounds prepared by a new method of synthesis on their electrochemical properties. The well-known intermetallic Ln 1-xM xNi 5-yMe y (Ln=La, Mm; M=Zr; Me=Mn, Ge, Sn, Al, Co+Sn, Co+Ge) compounds were synthesized by using mixtures of oxides, chlorides and carbonates of metals by interaction with lithium hydride at 700～1000 ℃. Prepared samples have the uniform microstructure with average dimension of particles about 20～30 μm. Electrochemical tests show that kinetic behaviour of compositions are satisfactory under current up to 200 mA·g -1. These compositions require practically no activation and limiting values of the discharge capacity were reached at 2～3 cycle up to 300 mAh·g -1, which can be considered as most promising for practice.

The paper presents the results of investigation of changes in the composition of hydrocarbons and sulfur-containing compounds of an atmospheric residue in the course of cracking in the presence of a tungsten carbide-nickel-chromium(WC/Ni-Cr)catalytic additive and without *** cracking is carried out in an autoclave at 500℃for 30 *** addition of the WC/Ni-Cr additive promotes the deepening of reactions of destruction not only of resins and asphaltenes,but also high molecular weight naphthene-aromatic compounds of the atmospheric *** is shown that the content of low molecular weight C9-C17 n-alkanes and C9-C10 alkylbenzenes rose sharply in the products of cracking with addition of WC/Ni-Cr in comparison with those produced without the ***-and naphthene-substituted aromatic hydrocarbons of benzene,naphthalene,phenanthrene series,polyarenes,benzo-and dibenzothiophenes are identified.

This paper attempts to review the descriptions on the genetic series of neotectonic forms in Eurasia. Morphotectonically, the Eurasian continental block exhibits a radial-concentric pattern consist- ing of four kinds of tectonic units： platforms, rejuvenated and youthful mobile belts, and the continent- ocean transition zones. Vast areas of young and ancient platforms, such as Siberia, have experienced slow-rate Late-Cenozoic uplift and little interior deformation. The youthful orogenic belts are clustered into the giant Alpine-Himalayan megabelt. The rejuvenated mountain belts are characterized by a variety of structural-morphological types of orogens, such as domelike uplifts, block uplifts and intermountain basins. The continent-ocean transition zones in Eastern Asia, including marginal rifts and extensional basins, are resulted from interaction between the continental block and Pacific Ocean and Philippine Sea since the Late Cenozoic. One of the conspicuous features of Eurasia is that most areas lie in the largest geoid depression of the Earth, and the NS trending Uralian-Oman lineament expresses a break on the geoid slope, implying a relationship to deep structure, including density inhomogeneities, down- ward to the core-mantle interface. Besides, the Eurasian continent fully demonstrates morphotectonic and recent geodynamic features of the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth, just in contrast to that of the Southern Hemisphere. It is best to view the surface morphotectonics and deep structure of the Earth as a geodynamic ensemble which has spawned the large-scale geomorphic features on the surface.

Influence of high-temperature convective flow on viability of Scots pine needles(Pinus sylvestris L.)

During a forest fire,plants are affected by high temperatures causing *** the time of burning,it is difficult to record temperature changes in tree crowns and the associated effects on *** paper presents the results of modelling a high-temperature effect simulating a convective flow from a ground *** of the response was carried out by the parameters of rapid fluorescence(Fv/Fm,ETR),the state of the pigment complex,and the relative water content in the *** characterize the degree of heat endurance and short-term effects concerning thermal damage,saplings of Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)were used at different times during the growing season(June,July,August,September).Experimental heating at 55℃ lasted for 5 and 10 *** were different levels of heat resistance by the *** in June show that heating of the saplings significantly suppressed *** July,August,and September,the photochemical quantum yield(Fv/Fm)was restored to 75%and 60%from the initial level after 5-and 10-min heating,*** electron transport rate(ETR)for saplings in September was restored to their initial level within 3 days after a short heat *** of the photosynthetic activity in needles was observed after a 5-min impact,but by the end of the study period,restoration had not reached control values.A longer heating of 10 min resulted in an irreversible suppression of photosynthesis and destruction of the photosynthetic apparatus,as evidenced by the decrease in the number of photosynthetic pigments.

Crystal Structures of Tris-dipivaloylmetanates of Tm^3＋ and Yb^3＋

A series of Ln（Ⅲ） dipivaloylmethanates Ln（dpm）3 has been obtained. The crystalstructures of Tm（dpm）3 （1） and Yb（dpm）3 （2） were determined by X-ray analysis at 200（2） K（Pmn2b Z = 2; a = 17.7509（8）, b = 10.5805（4）, c = 9.8380（4） A, V = 1847.7（1） A3 for （1） and a =17.7272（6）, b = 10.5882（3）, c = 9.8440（3） A, V= 1847.7（1） A^3 for （2））. These data complete thestructural evaluation of lanthanoid tris-dipivaloylmethanates. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructuralto the complexes Ln（dpm）3 （Ln -- Er and Lu）. It is demonstrated that the volatility of tris-dipivaloylmethanates of rare earth elements increases from the complex of Lu to that of La.

The first synopsis of Mesozoic weevils （Curculionoidea： Coleoptera） is pre- sented. Changes of family, genera and species abundance during the Mesozoic revealed three distributional patterns. The Jurassic （Karatau） fauna was dominated by the Nemony- chidae. During the Early Cretaceous （beginning at the Jurassic/Cretaceous border）, the Ithyceridae was the prevalent group with a significant role played by the Nemonychidae. In the Late Cretaceous （Cenomanian and Turonian）, the major groups were the Curculion- idae and Brentidae. Obviously, the change of weevil fauna during this period was due to the expansion of the angiosperms, which provided multiple niches in their vegetative and reproductive organs for weevil development.

The development of fully solution-processed,biodegradable piezoelectrics is a critical step in the development of green electronics towards the worldwide reduction of harmful electronic ***,recent printing processes for piezoelectrics are hindered by the high sintering temperatures required for conventional perovskite fabrication ***,a process was developed to manufacture lead-free printed piezoelectric devices at low temperatures to enable integration with eco-friendly substrates and electrodes.A printable ink was developed for screen printing potassium niobate(KNbO3)piezoelectric layers in microns of thickness at a maximum processing temperature of 120℃ with high *** parallel plate capacitor and cantilever devices were designed and manufactured to assess the quality of this ink and evaluate its physical,dielectric,and piezoelectric characteristics;including a comparison of behaviour between conventional silicon and biodegradable paper *** printed layers were 10.7–11.2μm thick,with acceptable surface roughness values in the range of 0.4-1.1μ*** relative permittivity of the piezoelectric layer was *** poling parameters were optimised for the piezoelectric response,with an average longitudinal piezoelectric coefficient for samples printed on paper substrates measured as d33,eff,paper=13.57±2.84 pC/N;the largest measured value was 18.37 pC/N on paper *** approach to printable biodegradable piezoelectrics opens the way forward for fully solution-processed green piezoelectric devices.
