Informer:Irregular traffic detection for containerized microservices RPC in the real world

The “opioid crisis” has had a tremendous impact not only on its victims, but also on the practice of medicine, pain patients, and society in general. Unfortunately, efforts to “stem the tide” have not been successful at reducing overdose deaths. Counterbalancing the many ardent efforts to eliminate overdose deaths (such as the current widespread availability and use of opioid-receptor antagonists such as naloxone) is influx of the illicit fentanoids (i.e., fentanyl and analogs). In addition to their high-potency, the fentanoids differ in surprising ways from more “traditional” opioids such as morphine and heroin. This uniqueness contributes to a reduced effectiveness of opioid receptor antagonists in the treatment of opioid overdose. Further greatly complicating overdose treatment is polysubstance abuse (e.g., an opioid plus a benzodiazepine). The non-opioid in the combination is not responsive to an opioid-recep- tor antagonist, which imparts additional challenges. There are four stages in medical device *** beginning starts with some new understanding of physiological concepts which evolve into the formation of an innovative idea. The second stage is the technical development phase,from idea to the development of a design to technical reality. There is growing consensus that the refining and chemical industries, among others, are contributing to the reality of the generation of increasing amounts of greenhouse gases and serious and growing threat of global warming, with its many adverse effects. The developed countries are contributing most to this problem today, because of the process choices they have made in the past, but unless different choices are made, those nations that are on the steep part of their industrial growth curve, most notably China and India, will rapidly overtake the West as major contributors to this serious problem It does not have to be that way. In the U.S., the Department of Energy funds research for new process and engineering technologies that represent less energy-intensive ways to produce chemicals from fossil fuels, but the slow growth rates of the industries in the U.S. and Western Europe make it unlikely that any new technologies can be easily implemented. In the large nations with fast growing petrochemical industries, there is a great opportunity to adopt first-of-a-kind processes, to prove them successful, and to rapidly proliferate them for the many new plants that will be required to satisfy the growing demand.

Aloesin as a medical food ingredient for systemic oxidative stress of diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic disease that requires a long term management where oxidative stress plays a pivotal role in disease progression and intensifying secondary complications. In spite of all the research on diabetes and recent advances in diabetes treatments, the reality is that there is no cure for diabetes and its devastating complications. While currently available anti-diabetic therapies are effective in reducing blood glucose level, they are not without associated side effects when they are used for a long term applications. As a result, physicians and patients are inclining more towards to a safer therapy with less serious side effects in the form of medicinal foods and botanical alternatives that are suitable for chronic usage. Aloesin, an Aloe chromone, has previously been formulated with an aloe polysaccharide to give a composition called Loesyn, where it showed significant impact in reducing glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting blood glucose, fructosamine and plasma insulin level in humans. Radical scavenging activities of chromones and polysaccharides from Aloe have also been reported. Here we rationalize the relevance of use of Aloesin alone or in a standardized blend with Aloe polysaccharides, as a potential medical food to manage systemic oxidative stress and/or high blood glucose of diabetes.

Technical Possibilities of Cloud-Based Virtual reality Implementing Software as a Service for Online Collaboration in Urban Planning

In this paper we discuss the technical possibilities of cloud-based virtual reality (cloud-based VR) computing tools for online collaboration in urban planning and design. We first create a digital asset representing our design proposal of a pedestrian bridge in Shibuya, Tokyo. A platform for cloud-based VR technology, i.e., a VR-Cloud server, is used to open the VR dataset to public collaboration over the Internet. The digital asset representing the design scheme of our pedestrian bridge includes buildings, roads, trees and street furniture for the entire urban area. The vehicles and people are designed and inputted into the virtual world of the urban area, in which they run and walk with predefined behaviour scenarios. Users share the VR world by accessing the VR-Cloud servers from remote clients, using cloud communication software to review vehicle and pedestrian crowd simulations and discuss the design concepts. Meanwhile, we compare the advantages and disadvantages of three cloud-based VR tools on their technical support for net collaboration: 1) VR-Cloud;2) Google Earth;and 3) 3DVIA.
