Characteristics of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy of liquid slag

Rapid online analysis of liquid slag is essential for optimizing the quality and energy efficiency of steel production. to investigate the key factors that affect the online measurement of refined slag using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBs), this study examined the effects of slag composition and temperature on the intensity and stability of the LIBs spectra. the experimental temperature was controlled at three levels: 1350℃, 1400℃, and 1450℃. the results showed that slag composition and temperature significantly affected the intensity and stability of the LIBs spectra. Increasing the Fe content and temperature in the slag reduces its viscosity, resulting in an enhanced intensity and stability of the LIBs spectra. Additionally, 42 refined slag samples were quantitatively analyzed for Fe, si, Ca, Mg, Al, and Mn at 1350℃, 1400℃, and 1450℃.the normalized full spectrum combined with partial least squares(PLs) quantification modeling was used, using the Ca Ⅱ 317.91 nm spectral line as an internal standard. the results show that using the internal standard normalization method can significantly reduce the influence of spectral fluctuations. Meanwhile, a temperature of 1450℃ has been found to yield superior results compared to both 1350℃ and 1400℃, and it is advantageous to conduct a quantitative analysis of the slag when it is in a “water-like” state with low viscosity.

Red mud(RM)is a low-activity industrial solid waste,and its utilization as a resource is currently a hot *** this study,the micro characteristics of red mud at different calcination temperatures were analyzed using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron *** performance of calcined red mud was determined through mortar strength *** indicate that high-temperature calcination can change the mineral composition and microstructure of red mud,and increase the surface roughness and specific surface *** the optimal temperature of 700°C,the addition of calcined red mud still leads to a decrease in mortar strength,but its activity index and flexural coefficient increase by 16.2%and 11.9%with respect to uncalcined red mud,reaching values of 0.826 and 0.974,*** with the control group,the synergistic activation of calcined red mud with slag can increase the compressive and flexural strength of the mortar by 12.9%and 1.5%,reaching 8.7 and 62.4 MPa,***,the activity index and flexural coefficient of the calcined RM and GGBs(Ground Granulated Blast furnace slag)mixtures also increase to 1.015 and 1.130,respectively.

Paramount concerns encompass spectrum allocation, the harmonization of network architectures, and inherent latency issues in satellite transmissions. Potential mitigations, such as dynamic spectrum sharing and the deployment of edge computing, are explored as viable solutions. Looking ahead, the advent of quantum communications within satellite frameworks and the integration of AI spotlight promising research trajectories. these advancements aim to foster a seamless and synergistic coexistence between satellite communications and next-gen mobile networks.

Influence of multi-stage volcanic events on the Late Cretaceous-Paleogene reservoirs and its geological significance in the northern Central Myanmar Basin

the northward subduction of the Neo-tethys oceanic crust triggered multiple magmatic activities in the West Myanmar Arc,which in turn influenced the deposition of sedimentary pyroclastic rocks from the Cretaceous to Eocene strata in the Central Myanmar Basin(CMB).the pore structure of these lithologic reservoirs is complex and rich in tuffaceous sandstone,which plays an adverse role in reservoir development in this *** understand the development characteristics and genetic mechanism of the pyroclastic rocks within three sets of reservoirs in this area,a comprehensive analysis was conducted through borehole core observations,thin section identification,scanning electron microscope analysis,and mercury injection *** tuffaceous sandstone from the upper Cretaceous to the Eocene is dominated by intermediate-acid volcanic rock *** pyroclastic rocks exhibit evident chloritization and ironization,with residual intergranular pores being the principal type accompanied by a smaller amount of intergranular dissolved pores and intragranular dissolved *** highest porosity is observed in the Eocene tuffaceous sandstone,ranging from 8%to 12%.the Late Cretaceous to Paleocene sandstones exhibit lower porosity levels of only 4%-6%.these reservoirs are characterized by their low porosity and *** the presence of a good source rock in this area,the volcanic debris particles filling the pores,as well as their subsequent devitrification,chloritization,and limonite mineralization,result in pore throat blockage and *** reservoirs in this area are small in size,exhibit poor reservoir connectivity and lateral continuity,and fail to meet the necessary conditions for commercial-scale hydrocarbon accumulation and migration.

Correlation between carbon emissions,fuel consumption of vehicles and speed limit on expressway

this paper aimed to investigate the correlation between carbon emissions, fuel consumption, and speed limit. A theoretical model was derived based on the energy conservation law, which expresses the relationship between vehicle's fuel consumption and speed. subsequently, a total of 40 sets of fuel consumption data were collected through field tests to verify the accuracy of the theoretical model at different speeds and different road longitudinal slope combinations. the fuel consumption was then converted to carbon emissions according to the carbon emission factors specified by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC). In the field experiment, two types of cars and trucks, which are most common on the expressways in China, were selected. Finally, the travel speed under different posted speed limits was obtained through the previously established model, and the carbon emission changes of different vehicle types at different limited speeds are calculated. the results show that the speed limit has a significant impact on fuel consumption and carbon emissions. When the speed limit increased from 80 to 120 km/h,average vehicle speeds increased about 21%-27%, and fuel consumption and carbon emissions increased from approximately 33%-38%. Another interesting result was that the vehicle's fuel consumption and carbon emissions are only affected by speed. the results of the study explore the effect of speed limits on carbon emissions and provide evidence for road managers to set reasonable speed limits.

Effect of Al content on modification behavior of non-metallic inclusions in high-strength steel treated with rare earth

the influence of Al content(0.0053,0.0171,and 0.0578 wt.%)on the modification behavior of non-metallic inclusions in 20CrMovtiB steel treated with rare earth elements was studied through high-temperature experiments and thermodynamic *** results showed that the modification products varied with the Al content in steel under 0.01 wt.%of Ce *** formation sequence of typical rare earth inclusions in steel with the increase in Al content was Ce_(2)O_(3)→CeAlO_(3)→CeAl_(11)O_(18),and the final stable products were highly Al content *** the Al content was 0.0053 wt.%,the stable phase in steel was Ce2O3;while the[Al]reached 0.0171 wt.%,the stable phase became CeA1O_(3).As the A1 content reached 0.0578 wt.%,CeAl_(11)O_(18) became the stable *** a result,increasing the Al content could inhibit the precipitation of Ce_(2)O_(3) inclusions in steel while promote the formation of CeAIO3 and CeAl_(11)O_(18) *** addition,both Ca treatment and Ce treatment could effectively refine the size of inclusions in steel by changing their ***,the feeding amount of Ca wire into molten steel should be appropriately reduced under the condition of adding Ce simultaneously,which is expected to be beneficial for an improved Ce treatment effect.

Effect of Low pH on Forming Process of desulfurization Gypsum Composite Boards strengthened by Melamine-formaldehyde Resin

through exploring the effects of low pH on the composite system of desulfurization gypsum(dG)enhanced by melamine-formaldehyde resin(MF),it is found that the inducing of sulfate-ion,in contrast to chloride and oxalate ions,favors the longitudinal growth of the crystalline form of the hydration product,which was relatively simple and had the highest length to width(L/d)*** the same time,MF can also improve L/d ratio of gypsum hydration products,which favors the formation of hydrated ***,in a composite system composed of hemihydrate gypsum,MF,and glass fibers,when dilute sulfuric acid was used to regulate pH=3-4,the tight binding formed among the components of the composite system compared to pH=*** hydration product of gypsum adheres tightly to glass fiber surface and produces a good cross-linking and binding effect with *** flexural strength,compressive strength,elastic modulus,and water absorption of the desulphurized gypsum composite board is 22.7 MPa,39.8 MPa,5608 MPa,and 1.8%,respectively.

Amid urbanization and the continuous expansion of transportation networks,the necessity for tunnel construction and maintenance has become *** this need requires the investigation of efficient,economical,and robust tunnel reinforcement *** paper explores fiber reinforced polymer(FRP)and steel fiber reinforced concrete(sFRC)technologies,which have emerged as viable solutions for enhancing tunnel *** is celebrated for its lightweight and high-strength attributes,effectively augmenting load-bearing capacity and seismic resistance,while sFRC’s notable crack resistance and longevity potentially enhance the performance of tunnel ***,current research predominantly focuses on experimental analysis,lacking comprehensive theoretical *** bridge this gap,the cohesive zone model(CZM),which utilizes cohesive elements to characterize the potential fracture surfaces of concrete/sFRC,the rebar-concrete interface,and the FRP-concrete interface,was employed.A modeling approach was subsequently proposed to construct a tunnel segment model reinforced with either sFRC or ***,the corresponding mixed-mode constitutive models,considering interfacial friction,were integrated into the proposed *** validation and numerical simulations corroborated the accuracy of the proposed ***,this study examined the reinforcement design of tunnel *** a numerical evaluation,the effectiveness of innovative reinforcement schemes,such as substituting concrete with sFRC and externally bonding FRP sheets,was assessed utilizing a case study from the Fuzhou Metro shield tunnel Construction Project.
