Bandwidth-efficient visible light communication system based on faster-than-Nyquist pre-coded CAP modulation

With the rapid development of the light-emitting diode （LED） industry, interest in visible light communication （VLC） is growing. The limited bandwidth of commercial LEDs is one of the main challenges to achieve high- speed VLC. In this Letter, a kind of bandwidth-efficient VLC system based on carrierless amplitude and phase （CAP） modulation is proposed, where a simple differential faster-than-Nyquist （FTN） pre-coding scheme is em- ployed to compress the spectrum and further improve the overall system baud rate. The system is experimentally demonstrated with a data rate of 1.47-Cb/s over 1.5 m free space transmission. The results indicate that an improvement of 80 Mbaud is achieved by FTN-CAP4 at 20% subband overlap and 40 Mbaud rate improvement by FTN-CAP16 at 7.5% subband overlap. Compared with traditional CAP, the FTN pre-coded CAP shows a better performance in spectral efficiency （SE） and intercarrier interference resistance. To the best of our knowl- edge, it is the first time to employ FTN pre-coded CAP in indoor high-data-rate VLC systems.

对体型大小不同的两种陆生等足类动物进行形态特征和行为特征研究,探讨环境变化对其繁殖特征和种群结构的影响。自2004年5月至2005年4月,在巴西Parque Estadual de Itapua进行野外采样,其中每月采集12个凋落物和土壤样品,实验室手拣法收集等足类,共获得2540只,同时进行个体性别鉴定与测量。结果表明,Atlantoscia floridana平均密度为114只Pm2,Balloniscus glaber平均密度为133只Pm2。***雌性个体全年可育,***雌性个体只在早春至初夏时段可育,其中春季这两种动物雌性可育个体数量高。2005年夏季干旱,该气候因子对两种动物种群影响存在差异,其中干旱使***种群减少,而***种群基本保持稳定,两种动物间形态结构不同是上述差异的主要原因,尤其是***,特殊的体型和腹肢肺的存在使其更能忍耐干燥。此外,***可能也依赖行为策略适应环境,例如挖掘活动,在不利气候条件下挖掘活动能够增加年轻个体生存的机会,也可能对成年个体起到保护作用。对于***来说,它具有连续繁殖、性成熟时间短和高雌性生育比率的特征。

In this paper,a modeling and simulation approach for the boiler coil pipe bending production line is proposed based on the em-plant *** aim of this paper is to analyze the real workshop of manufacturing resource and process data based on the object-oriented simulation modeling technology and give the arrange strategy for improving the continuity and reliability of the manufacturing ***,the mathematical models of production processing and welding combination processes are studied,including the production line configuration,working time for each product station set theory and the production line buffer ***,the maximum processing capacity and each station working load are analyzed according to the working state of the workshop and bottleneck ***,a simulation model is established to determine optimal control strategy for the material management and storage,human configuration optimization and production *** results show that the designed boiler coil pipe bending production line can effectively improve the production efficiency.

Cryopreservation techniques for mammalian oocytes and embryos have rapidly progressed during the past two decades,emphasizing their importance in various assisted reproductive *** and live births resulting from cryopreserved oocytes and embryos of several species including humans have provided proof of principle and led to the adoption of cryopreservation as an integral part of clinical in vitro *** progress has been achieved in the development and application of the cryopreservation of mammalian oocytes and embryos,including preservation of the reproductive potential of patients who may become infertile,establishment of cryopreserved oocyte banks,and transport of oocytes and embryos ***,the success rates are still far lower than those obtained with fresh oocytes and embryos,and there are still obstacles that need to be *** this review,we address the major obstacles in the development of effective cryopreservation *** knowledge may help to eliminate these hurdles by revealing which aspects need ***,this information may encourage further research by cryobiologists and increase the practical use of cryopreservation as a major part of assisted reproductive technologies for both humans and animal species.

We investigate computationally the attenuation and reflection of Terahertz （THz） wave using targets coated with plasmas. The simulators are the Wentzel-Kramer-Brillouin （WKB） method and finite-difference timedomain （FDTD） method. The relation between the frequency of the incident electromagnetic （em） wave and the attenuation caused by unmagnitized plasma is analyzed. The results demonstrate that the amount of absorbed power is a decreasing function of the em wave frequency and the plasma collision frequency. For THz band incident wave, the attenuation that is caused by plasma is small when the plasma has common density and the collision frequency. This conclusion has fine applying foreground for plasma anti stealth.

Biomass-based aligned carbon networks with double-layer construction for tunable electromagnetic shielding with ultra-low reflectivity

Oak forest and grassland in the Tongshan forestry farm in Nanjing,China were selected,within which,4 sets em50 was used to measure Soil Volumetric Water Content（DASVWC）at depths of 5cm,15cm,30cm respectively and air humidity was measured at the height of 2 *** these data were recorded continuously for every 15 minutes during June,2010 to May,*** was measured in both two types of land use with a far distance transportation system for each mm *** analyzing the vertical-temporal variable quantity,variations of DASVWC and their correlation with meteorological factors,it was found that they were affected by precipitation,air temperature and humidity and *** different from the variability law of DASVWC in the Yellow River watershed,where variability of DASVWC in the 5cm layer was lower than those in the 15 cm and 30 cm soil layer,in this research variability of DASVWC in the 0-5 layer was higher than those in the 15 cm and 30 cm soil layer in the two types of land *** in oak forest in the 0-30 soil layer was lower compared with those in the grass land,showing decrease of DASVWC in the surface soil layer with increase of plant *** the same type of land use,values of DASVWC at three layers showed linear regression *** rain intervals indifferent seasons,DASVWC showed exponential correlation with time very significantly.

Nowadays,carbon frameworks derived from natural biomaterials have attracted extensive attention for electromagnetic interference(emI)shielding due to their renewability and ***,it is critical and challenging to achieve effective regulation of shielding effectiveness(SE)as well as weaken the strong em reflection of highly conductive biomass-based carbon ***,commercial cotton pads with oriented structure were selected as carbonaceous precursor to fabricate aligned carbon networks by pyrolysis,and the emI SE of the samples with increased temperature of 800-1000℃ can be accurately controlled in the effective range of~21.7-29.1,~27.7-37.1 and~32.7-43.3 d B with high reflection coefficient of>0.8 by changing the cross-angle between the electric-field direction of incident em waves and the fiber-orientation direction due to the occurrence of opposite internal electric ***,the further construction of Salisbury absorber-liked double-layer structure could result in an ultralow reflection coefficient of only~0.06 but enhanced SE variation range up to~38.7-49.3 d B during the adjustment of cross-angle,possibly due to the destructive interference of em waves in the double-layer carbon *** work would provide a simple and effective way for constructing high-performance biomass carbon materials with adjustable emI shielding and ultra-low reflectivity.

The whole rock K-Ar ages of basalts from the South China Sea basin vary from 3.8 to 7.9 Ma, which suggest that intra-plate volcanism after the cessation of spreading of the South China Sea (SCS) is comparable to that in adjacent regions around the SCS, i.e., Leiqiong Peninsula, northern margin of the SCS, Indochina block, and so on. Based on detailed petrographic studies, we selected many fresh ba-saltic rocks and measured their major element, trace element, and Sr-Nd-Pb isotope compositions. Geochemical characteristics of major element and trace element show that these basaltic rocks belong to alkali basalt magma series, and are similar to OIB-type basalt. The extent of partial melting of mantle rock in source region is very low, and magma may experience crystallization differentiation and cu-mulation during the ascent to or storing in the high-level magma chamber. Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic data of these basaltic rocks imply an inhomogeneous mantle below the South China Sea. The nature of magma origin has a two end-member mixing model, one is em2 (Enriched Mantle 2) which may be originated from mantle plume, the other is DMM (Depleted MORB Mantle). Pb isotopic characteristics show the Dupal anomaly in the South China Sea, and combined with newly found Dupal anomaly at Gakkel ridge in Arctic Ocean, this implies that Dupal anomaly is not only limited to South Hemisphere. In variation diagrams among Sr, Nd and Pb, the origin nature of mantle below the SCS is similar to those below Leiqiong peninsula, northern margin of the SCS and Indochina peninsula, and is different from those below north and northeast China. This study provides geochemical constraints on Hainan mantle plume.
