Hepatoma is a common cancer that can be seen around the world and clinical correlation between infection and hepatoma is evident. Hepatitis virus infection is proved for its relationship with hepatoma. However, the knowledge of other infections is still limited. In this short review, the relationship between hepatoma and some trematode infestation including echinococcosis fascioliasis, opisthorchiasis, clonorchiasis and schistosomiasis are described and discussed. Opisthorchiasis and clonorchiasis are confi rmed for cholangiocarcinoma carcinogenesis but still lack evidence for hepatoma carcinogenesis. Schistosomiasis can increase the severity of hepatoma.

We found that the publication of“Anal swab findings in an infant with COVID‐19”is interesting.1 Fan et al1 reported that“this case suggests the possibility of fecal‐oral transmission of COVID‐19 for nearly one *** should pay attention to personal hygiene during home isolation and further explore the possibility of fecal‐oral transmission.”In fact,the virus might exist in feces.2 The patient might swallow respiratory secretion and the virus might directly infect gastrointestinal ***,further transmission might or might not *** is still unknown whether the pathogen can resist to physiological defense in gastrointestinal tract and gastric acid or *** the virus might be transmittable via oro‐fecal route,eating together in close distance can increase the risk of infection.

Dear Editor,Sir,pearl is a natural product that is well known for its good property for skin *** is composed of about 90%calcium carbonate,5%organic compounds(msi60,nacrein,msi31,prismalin-14 and aspein)and 5%*** main component,calcium carbonate crystals,is stable and can be applied for skin *** are many reports on medical effect of pearl on several skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis and UV dermatitis[1].Also,it is reported that pearl can help reduce oxidative stress[1].There is no doubt that the dermatological usefulness of pearl is confirmed.

Dear Editor,We would like to share ideas on“Comparison of in-vial exhaust method versus conventional exhaust method in the injection of COVID-19 vaccine.”[1]Xu et al.[1]concluded that“Implementing the in-vial exhaust method in the vaccine injection can effectively reduce the incidence of solution spillage,reduce nucleic acid contamination,and ensure that the vaccine is injected at the prescribed dose and application value.[1]”We agree that in-vial method might be appropriate for injection of ***,an important factor for the success of any method is experience of *** to reduce vaccine waste is good but we should concern on the possible contamination as *** the in-vial exhaustion can result in a contamination or not is an issue for further ***,quantitation accuracy is another important *** the two different techniques relate to syringe dead space is an interesting issue for further study.[2]

Optimization of microwave-assisted extraction for picroside I and picroside II from Picrorrhiza kurroa using Box-Behnken experimental design

The response surface methodology was employed to study the optimization of microwave-assisted extraction of picroside I and picroside II from Picrorrhiza kurroa Royle rhizomes. The effects of solid to solvent ratio, and extraction temperature, time and solvent on the yields ofpicroside I and picroside II have been investigated using Box-Behnken experimental design. The experimen- tal data were fitted to second-order polynomial equations using multiple regression analysis and analyzed using the appropriate statistical method. By solving the regression equation and analyzing 3-D plots, the optimum extraction conditions were found to be： solid to solvent ratio, 10 ： 90 （w/v）; temperature, 60 ~C; and extraction time, 60 s. Under the optimal conditions, the yields of picroside I and picroside II are 41.23 and 6.12 *** feed respectively, which are in good agreement with the predicted values. The ratio of solid to solvent significantly affects the yields of picroside I and picroside II. Application of microwave- assisted extraction of picroside I and picroside II from P kurroa would dramatically reduce extraction time and solvent consumption.

Dear Editor, Being trapped in difficult situation is considered as an important crisis that requires rescue. The good example is being trapped in cave. In July 2018, there was a worldwide news about 13 persons trapped in the cave in northern region of Thailand. Finally, those persons were able to be successfully rescued by the rescue team after more than 10 days trapped period. The interesting issue is on the clinical management of these persons in acute phase after being rescued. In fact, acute management of those who are rescued from difficult places is an interesting issue in acute disease management. Focusing on the case of being trapped in the cave, there was a similar case of being trapped in underground mine in Chile(1)In the present Thai situation, all victims were immediately sent to hospital for management. All cases recieved primary care and obtained immunization.

COVID-19 is a newly emerging disease[1], which has already imported to many countries throughout the world. At present, active screening by thermo-scanning on immigrants from high-risk countries for COVID-19 at international border post is generally done by each country as a basic measurement for prevention of the disease. However, due to the possibility of afebrile presentation in COVID-19 cases[2], there is a chance of false-negative of screening. Here, the authors would like to share the observation from Thailand where COVID-19 has become a concerning public health problem. The aim is to determine the chance of false-negative from thermo-scanning for COVID-19 at international border post.
