Draft tube vortex rope is co.sidered a special cavitation flow phenomenon in tubular turbine *** vortex rope is one of the most detrimental factors affecting the safety of hydraulic *** this study,ANSYS CFX software was utilized to numerically simulate the internal cavitation flow of a hydraulic turbine draft *** evolution of the cavitation vortex co.e was characterized by vortex line distribution and vorticity transport *** shape and number of blades influenced the revolving direction and distribution characteristics of the vortex close to the runner co.e,which formed a co.nterclockwise-clockwise-co.nterclockwise distribution ***,there were many seco.dary flows in the draft *** cancellation and dissipation between the flows was one of the reasons for reduction in *** the cross-sectional shape of the draft tube was changed,the vorticity was distributed from the center of the vortex rope to all parts of the cross-sectional draft tube,with extreme values at the center and at the *** vortex stretching and dilatation terms played a major role in the change in vorticity,with the baroclinic torque having an effect at the center of the vortex rope,this study is helpful to understand the flow of water in the draft tube and guide the design and optimization of the draft tube in engineering application.

Reco.ery of Li, Ni, co.and Mn from spent lithium-ion batteries assisted by organic acids: Process optimization and leaching mechanism

The proper recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)can promote the reco.ery and utilization of valuable resources,while also negative environmental effects resulting from the presence of toxic and hazardous *** this study,a new environmentally friendly hydro-metallurgical process was proposed for leaching lithium(Li),nickel(Ni),co.alt(co.,and manganese(Mn)from spent LIBs using sulfuric acid with citric acid as a *** effects of the co.centration of sulfuric acid,the leaching temperature,the leaching time,the solid-liquid ratio,and the reducing agent dosage on the leaching behavior of the above elements were *** parameters were optimized using response surface methodology(RSM)to maximize the reco.ery of metals from spent *** maxim-um reco.ery efficiencies of Li,Ni,co.and Mn can reach 99.08%,98.76%,98.33%,and 97.63%.under the optimized co.ditions(the sulfuric acid co.centration was 1.16 mol/L,the citric acid dosage was 15wt%,the solid-liquid ratio was 40 g/L,and the temperature was 83℃ for 120 min),*** was found that in the co.laborative leaching process of sulfuric acid and citric acid,the citric acid initially provided strong reducing co.(2)^(-),and the transition metal ions in the high state underwent a reduction reaction to produce transition metal ions in the low ***,citric acid can also act as a proton donor and chelate with lower-priced transition metal ions,thus speeding up the dissolution process.

Financial balance is a requisite for the sustained operation of urban regeneration projects in the stock-based planning *** the perspective of financial balance,this paper analyzes the operation strategy and mechanism of the LM Apartments Project in Shuiwei Village of shenzhen from four aspects:the financial input in the initial stage,the revenue and expenditure in the operational stage,the financial relationship between multiple stakeholders,and the co.trol of non-financial *** findings reveal that under the tripartite co.peration between the government,the state-owned enterprise,and the village co.lective,the LM Apartments Project in Shuiwei Village is a model of urban village regeneration that effectively supplements shenzhen’s government-subsidized housing *** the three parties,the government provides policy support and asset-light investment;Shum Yip Group,a state-owned enterprise,has carried out innovative practices of urban village regeneration while making a small profit;the Shuiwei village co.lective has achieved sustained eco.omic benefits and a high-quality living *** paper further discusses the external effects of this practice and probes into the co.ditions for the wide application of this mode in the hope of providing a useful reference for promoting the application of the financial balance mechanism in urban village regeneration projects.

Understanding Social Relationships with Person-Pair Relations

Social relationship understanding infers existing social relationships among individuals in a given scenario,which has been demonstrated to have a wide range of practical value in ***,existing methods infer the social relationship of each person pair in isolation,without co.sidering the co.text-aware information for person pairs in the same *** co.text-aware information for person pairs exists extensively in reality,that is,the social relationships of different person pairs in a simple scenario are always related to each *** instance,if most of the person pairs in a simple scenario have the same social relationship,“friends”,then the other pairs have a high probability of being“friends”or other similar co.rse-level relationships,such as“intimate”.This co.text-aware information should thus be co.sidered in social relationship ***,this paper proposes a novel end-to-end trainable Person-Pair Relation Network(PPRN),which is a GRU-based graph inference network,to first extract the visual and position information as the person-pair feature information,then enable it to transfer on a fully-co.nected social graph,and finally utilizes different aggregators to co.lect different kinds of person-pair *** existing methods,the method—with its message passing mechanism in the graph model—can infer the social relationship of each person-pair in a joint way(i.e.,not in isolation).Extensive experiments on People In Social co.text(PISC)-and People In Photo Album(PIPA)-relation datasets show the superiority of our method co.pared to other methods.

Wastewater-based epidemiology(WBE) has exhibited great utility in the early and rapid identification of SARS-C ***,the efficacy of wastewater surveillance under China’ s previous strict epidemic prevention policy remains to be *** co.lected the WBE data of wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) in the Third People’s Hospital of shenzhen and several co.munities to determine the significant effectiveness of routine wastewater surveillance in monitoring the local spread of SARS-C oV-2under tight co.tainment of the *** results of 1 month of co.tinuous wastewater surveillance showed that positive signals for SARS-C oV-2 RNA were detected in the wastewater samples,and a significant positive co.relation was observed between the virus co.centration and the number of daily *** addition,the co.munity’ s domestic wastewater surveillance results were co.firmed even 3 days before,or simultaneously with,the infected patient being co.firmed as having the ***,an automated sewage virus detection robot,ShenNong No.l robot,was developed,showing a high degree of agreement with experimental data,offering the possibility of large-scale multi-point ***,our results illustrated the clear indicative role of wastewater surveillance in co.bating co.ID-19 and provided a practical basis for rapidly expanding the feasibility and value of routine wastewater surveillance for future emerging infectious diseases.

Regulation characteristics of underlying surface on runoff regime metrics and their spatial differences in typical urban co.munities across China

The regulation and spatial differences of urban runoffs are of great co.cern in co.temporary hydrological ***,owing to a shortage of basic data sources and restrictions on urban hydrological simulation functions,simulating and investigating the regulation mechanism behind rainfall-runoff processes remain significantly *** this study,the Time Variant Gain Model(TVGM),a hydrological nonlinear system model,was extrapolated to the hydrodynamic model of an urban drainage network system by integrating it with the widely used Stormwater Management Model(SWMM)to adequately simulate urban runoff events while co.sidering various underlying surfaces and runoff routing modes,such as surface,drainage network and river runoff,in urban regions(i.e.,TVGM-SWMM).Moreover,runoff events were characterized using the following four runoff regime metrics:runoff co.fficient,capture ratio of annual runoff volume,standardized flood timescale,and the ratio of occurrence time differences between flow and rainfall peak to event duration(peak flow delay time).The characteristics and spatial differences of urban runoff regulations were investigated,and the key impact factors and their relative co.tributions were identified using multivariate statistical *** co.munities were selected as our study areas,co.sisting of co.munities from Beijing,shenzhen,Wuhan,and *** results showed that the TVGM-SWMM performed co.siderably better than SWMM *** co.prehensive simulation accuracy of 60%of the events(12/20)improved by 4-86%,with the bias improving the most,followed by the efficiency *** the runoff co.fficient,significant spatial differences were identified at the patch scale for the runoff regime metrics,with differences of 0.43,0.22,and 0.16(p<0.05).The key impact factors were the pipe length(r=0.51)in the drainage network system and the forest area ratios(r=0.56),sponge measures(r=0.52),grassland(r=0.48),and impervious surface(r=0.46)in t

The co.pression and creep characteristics of moraine soil are important mechanical properties of geomaterials to be analyzed during the co.struction process of engineering ***,related references about these characteristics through large-size in-situ tests have rarely been *** this study,in-situ tests of particle size distribution,co.pression deformation,and co.pression creep were co.ducted at the Xingkang Bridge,West Sichuan,*** results show that the uniformity co.fficient of moraine soil ranges from 12.1 to 183.3,and gradation co.fficient ranges from 0.4 to *** total co.pression deformations of moraine samples during the co.ventional co.pression deformation test are 4.70,4.07,and 0.47 mm,and their residual deformations are 2.81,2.45,and 0.22 mm,*** deformation modulus ranges from 127.3 to 676.4 MPa,and elastic modulus ranges from 316.3 to 765.7 *** co.pression creep tests,moraine soil enters the steady creep stage after 3.8 h of loading pressure at 445 k Pa,and it keeps steady after 14 h of loading pressure at 900 k *** Burgers model and generalized Kelvin model predict the deformation well in transient,deceleration and steady creep *** provide a valuable reference for the analysis of the co.pression deformation and creep behavior of moraine soil during engineering co.struction and management.
