Alkaline soils pose an increasing problem for agriculture worldwide,but using stress-tolerant plants as green manure can improve marginal ***,we show that the legume Sesbania cannabina is very tolerant to alkaline conditions and,when used as a green manure,substantially improves alkaline *** understand genome evolution and the mechanisms of stress tolerance in this allotetraploid legume,we generated the first telomere-to-telomere genome assembly of *** spanning~2,087 *** assembly included all centromeric regions,which contain centromeric satellite repeats,and complete chromosome ends with telomeric *** genome analysis distinguished A and B subgenomes,which diverged approximately 7.9 million years *** genomic analysis revealed that the chromosome homoeologs underwent large-scale inversion events(>10 Mb)and a significant,transposon-driven size expansion of the chromosome 5A *** further identified four specific alkali-induced phosphate transporter genes in ***;these may function in alkali tolerance by relieving the deficiency in available phosphorus in alkaline *** work highlights the significance of *** as a green tool to improve marginal lands and sheds light on subgenome evolution and adaptation to alkaline soils.

Distribution Characteristics of Effective Source Rocks and Their Control on Hydrocarbon Accumulation: A Case Study from the dongying Sag, Eastern China

The exploration conducted in the Bohai Bay basin, eastern China has demonstrated that the abundant petroleum resources have close affinities to the hydrocarbon kitchen with rich organic matter. A number of oil-generating associations with various characteristics of organic geochemistry and assemblages of multiple reservoir facies are developed due to the multi-center sedimentation, multi-source supply and multi-cycle evolution of filling, which have resulted in the formation of multiple oil and gas accumulation zones of various layers and trap styles. Among them the Paleogene Shahejie Formation is the most important hydrocarbon accumulation combination in the dongying sag. Heretofore, its proved reserve has reached nearly 1.8×109t, which accounts for more than 90% of the total proved reserves of the dongying sag. Based on previous studies, more than 600 source rock samples and 186 crude oil samples of the Shahejie Formation, collected from 30 oilfields, have been treated with organic geochemical testing. By combining the sedimentary sequence characteristics and geochemical analysis results, the source rocks of the Shahejie Formation can be divided into three genetic types, i.e. the saline lake facies (the upper ES4, brackish water deep lake facies (the lower ES3) and fresh-water lake facies (the middle ES3), which correspond to the under-filling, balanced-filling and over-filling lake types respectively and represent the three most essential genetic models for source rocks of non-marine fault basins in China. Based on a thorough oil-source correlation, the source rocks of the saline lake and brackish deep lake facies are determined to be the most contributive source rocks in the dongying sag. Furthermore, by probing into the accumulation of organic matter and hydrocarbon migration pattern, it can be inferred that the hydrocarbons, generated from source rocks of the saline lake facies with relatively low maturity, have mainly accumulated in the uplifted parts of the

Background： There is increasing evidence showing the health benefits of various forms of traditional Chinese exercises （TCEs） on the glycemic profile in people with type 2 diabetes. However, relatively little is known about the combined clinical effectiveness of these traditional exercises. This study was designed to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of the overall effect of 3 common TCEs （Tai Ji Quan, Qigong, Ba Duan Jin） on glycemie control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Methods： We conducted an extensive database search in Cochrane Library, EMBASE, PubMed, Web of Science, EBSCO, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure on randomized controlled trials published between April 1967 and September 2017 that compared any of the 3 TCEs with a control or comparison group on glycemic control. Data extraction was performed by 2 independent reviewers. Study quality was evaluated using the Coehrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions, which assessed the risk of bias, including sequence generation, allocation concealment, blinding, completeness of outcome data, and selective outcome reporting. The resulting quality of the reviewed studies was characterized in 3 grades representing the level of bias： low, unclear, and high. All analyses were performed using random effects models and heterogeneity was quantified. We a priori specified changes in biomarkers of hemoglobin A1 c （in percentage） and fasting blood glucose （mmol/L） as the main outcomes and triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, 2-h plasma glucose, and fasting plasma glucose as secondary ***： A total of 39 randomized, controlled trials （Tai Ji Quan = 11; Qigong= 6; Ba Duan Jin= 22） with 2917 type 2 diabetic patients （aged 41-80 years） were identified. Laiyang formation of Jiaolai Basin is the target stratum for oil and gas exploration. By measuring several field sections, the authors find that Laiyang formation reveals the whole processes from development to death of the lake basin and its sedimentary facies differ in different structural locations. Analyses about sedimentary facies and paleocurrent orientations in association with researches about the positive tectonic units such as Dayetou horseback and Chaigou horst indicate that Laiyang sag is a relatively independent sedimentary unit that shows great water depth typical of deep lake or semideep lake and was controlled by Wulongcun fault during the deposition period of Laiyang formation. Its sediments mainly originated from Jiaobei uplift area and Dayetou horseback. Gaomi-Zhucheng sag was a fast-filled basin controlled by Wurong fault and Yishu fault zone, being high in the northeast and low in the northwest and characterized by the development of pluvial facies and fluvial facies in most areas, and with the development of lake facies being limited to local low-lying regions. Selection of advantageous hydrocarbon reservoir areas for exploration purpose mainly relies on the sedimentation pattern of prototype basin and conservation conditions. The central-west area of Laiyang sag covered by overlying Laiyang formation is the most advantageous exploration area.

Background The p22phox is a critical component of the superoxide-generating vascular nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate （NADPH） oxidase. Several polymorphisms in p22phox gene are studied for their association with cardiovascular diseases. However, no publication is available to assess the relation of 549C〉T polymorphism in p22pho~ gene to coronary artery disease （CAD） risk. This study was to investigate the effect of the p22phox gene 549C〉T polymorphism on CAD risk. Methods Hospital-based case-control study was conducted with 297 CAD patients and 343 healthy persons as the control group. Polymerase chain reaction and pyrosequencing using PSQ 96 MA Pyrosequencer （Biotage AB） were used to detect the polymorphisms. Multiple Logistic regression model was used to adjust the potential confounders and to estimate odds ratio （OR） with 95% confidence intervals （CIs）. Results The observed genotype frequencies of this polymorphism obeyed the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in both cases （P=0.439） and controls （P=-0.668）. The frequency of mutant genotypes （＇I-I-＋CT） in cases （41.08%） was higher than that in controls （36.73%） with an OR=1.20 （95% C1=0.87-1.65）. After the adjustment of the potential confounders, there was a significant association of the mutant genotypes with increased risk of CAD （OR=1.57, 95% C1=1.01-2.46, P=0.047）. Conclusions The mutant genotypes of the p22phox gene 549C〉T polymorphism had a significant effect on the increased risk of CAD in this studied population.

The mechanisms of lacustrine organic-rich shale formation have attracted attention due to its association with global shale oil and shale gas *** of general-quality and excellent-quality source rocks,and oil shale from the Beibu Gulf Basin were analyzed to investigate their organic geochemistry,palynofacies,and trace *** potential was higher in the oil shale(29.79 mg/g)than in the general-quality source rock(3.82 mg/g),and its kerogen type wasⅠ-Ⅱ***-rich liptinite(cutinite and sporinite)components derived from terrigenous higher plants provided most of the hydrocarbon potential of excellent-quality source rock and oil *** the influence of depressioncontrolling fault activity,a deeper subsidence center promotes the deposition of excellent-quality source rock and oil shale in brackish-hypoxic bottom water.A shallower subsidence center,due to subsag-controlling fault activity,promotes the formation of excellent-quality source rock under freshbrackish and weak oxidation-weak reducing *** local uplift and shallow-slope led to the formation of general-quality source rock,under freshwater weak-oxidation conditions.A model was established for organic matter(OM)accumulation in organic-rich shales,accounting for fault activity,terrigenous hydrogen-rich OM,and the preservation conditions,to predict the development of excellent-quality source rock from areas with low levels of exploration.

Many types of sedimentary systems occur in the middle of the third member of the Shahejie Formation(E_(2)S_(3)^(2))of the Paleogene in the dongying Sag east of the Bohai Bay *** to the topography and material supply,traction and gravity flow depositions are intertwined in this area,and the sand body types are complex and diverse,making it challenging to improve the accuracy of their description and prediction and restricting oil reservoir exploration and ***,this paper documents our systematic study of the sedimentary characteristics of the southern slope of dongying Depression,the formation mechanism of different sand body types,and the prediction of sand body ***,according to the coring well’s single-well facies and vertical rock sequence,nine single lithofacies types and five lithofacies association types were *** with the well logging facies marks of all wells,the depositional models of delta and gravity flow depositional systems were established in the study ***,the gravity flow was divided into slip,collapse,debris flow,and turbidity flow according to its development ***,the distribution law of the gravity flow sedimentary facies type was *** flow sliding deposits are primarily distributed near the delta front,slump and clastic flow deposits are distributed near the far slope,and turbidity current deposits are distributed at the far *** the gradual shrinkage of the water body in the north-west direction and the continuous advancement of the river delta,the gravity flow sand body gradually disappears in the late E_(2)S_(3)^(2) and transits to delta plain deposition.

Longitudinal Changes in Liver Aminotransferases Predict Metabolic Syndrome in Chinese Patients with Nonviral Hepatitis

Objective This study explored the correlation of longitudinal changes in serum alanine aminotransferase （ALT） and aspartate aminotransferase （AST） levels with the incidence of metabolic syndrome （Mets） based on a dynamic health examination cohort. Methods A Mets-free dynamic cohort involving 4541 participants who underwent at least three health examinations from 2006 to 2011 was included in the study. Mets was defined according to the Chinese Medical association Diabetes Branch definition that included hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, and hyperglycemia. Generalized estimating equation （GEE） model was used to analyze multivariate relative risk （RR） of repeated observations of ALT and AST in quartiles for Mets or its components according to gender. Results In all, 826 Mets cases were reported. Adjustment of relevant parameters indicated that time-varying changes in ALT and AST levels were positively associated with the incidence of Mets in a dose-response manner. Positive association between high ALT levels and fatty liver was much stronger than that between high AST levels and fatty liver, particularly in male participants. These associations were consistently observed in the following subgroups： participants with ALT and AST levels of 〈40 U/L, participants with of 〈25 kg/m2, and participants with non-fatty liver. Furthermore, participants with 2 Mets components at baseline showed lower multivariate adjusted RRs of ALT and AST for Mets than participants with 0-1 Mets component. Conclusion These results suggested that elevated serum ALT and AST levels were early biomarkers of Mets or its components.
