Magnetorheological fluids(MRFs)have been successfully used in a variety of smart co.trol systems,but are still limited due to their relatively poor settling ***,a co.e/shell‐structured Fe_(3)O_(4)/co.olymer co.posite nanoparticle is synthesized as a new candidate material for stimulus‐responsive MRFs to tackle the limitation of the long‐term dispersion ***‐co.diphenylamine co.olymers(PANI‐co.PDPA)are loaded onto the surface of Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,providing a lighter density and sufficient active interface for the dispersion of magnetic particles in the carrier *** features of the Fe_(3)O_(4)/co.olymer co.posite nanoparticles,including morphology,co.positional,and crystalline properties,are *** MRF is prepared by suspending Fe_(3)O_(4)/co.olymer co.posite nanoparticles in a nonmagnetic medium oil,and its rheological properties are assessed using a co.trolled shear rate test and dynamic oscillation tests using a rotational *** models including the Bingham model and the Herschel–Bulkley model are fitted to the flow curves of the *** obtained Fe_(3)O_(4)/co.olymer co.posite shows soft‐magnetic properties,as well as greater density adaptability and higher stability,co.pared to Fe_(3)O_(4).Moreover,the sedimentation testing provides information about the dispersion stability characteristics of MRF and shows a good co.relation with high‐stability magnetorheological(MR)*** Fe_(3)O_(4)/co.olymer‐based MRF with a tunable and instantaneous MR response is co.sidered a promising material for smart co.trol applications.

The effects of substitution of Sn for co.on the microstructure, hydrogen storage and electrochemical discharge capacity of La0.7Mg0.3Al0.3Mn0.4co..5-xSnxNi3.8 （x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5） alloys were investigated using X-ray diffraction （XRD）, pressure co.position isotherm （PCT） and electrochemical discharge cycle. XRD, scanning electron microsco.y （SEM） and energy dispersive spectrosco.y （EDS） tests showed that all of alloys are mainly co.posed of LaNi5 and MgNi2 phases, but when increasing the co.tent of Sn in alloys, the LaNiSn phase appears and microstructure is refined. The PCT showed that increasing substitution of Sn for co.results in decrease of the maximum hydrogen storage capacity from 1.48% （x=0） to 0.85% （x=0.5）. The electrochemical tests indicated that the maximum discharge capacity decreases from 337.1 mA-h/g （x=0） to 239.8 mA.h/g （x=0.5）; however, the discharge capacity retention at the 100th cycle increases from 70.2% （x=0） to 78.0% （x=0.5）.

In satellite laser co.munication technology, which is built between planets and between a planet and the Earth, the optical antenna is the key point. Thus, research on optical system design is important. The off-axis reflective system has no obscuration and hence possesses a high efficiency for energy transfer. This study proposes a novel method for designing a free-form off-axis reflective imaging system. This study also introduces differential equations that depend on Fermat＇s principle and sine co.dition. Finally, a free-form off-axis two-mirror optical system was designed by using the differential equation method. This system includes one intermediate image plane, in which the field of view （FOV） is -5° to -4° in the y-axis and -1° to 0° in the x-axis. The modulation transfer function was greater than 0.7 at 50 lp/mm, and the efficiency of energy transmission was high. The free-form off-axis two-mirror optical system involves a wide range of application prospects in the optical antenna used in the satellite laser co.munication systems. Moreover, the design method that used differ- ential equations was proven simple and effective.

Preparing materials for simultaneous remediation of anionic and cationic heavy metals co.tamination has always been the focus of research. Herein a biochar supported FeMnMg layered double hydroxide(LDH) co.posites(LB) for simultaneous remediation of co.per and arsenic co.tamination in water and soil has been assembled by a facile co.precipitation approach. Both adsorption isotherm and kinetics studies of heavy metals removal by LB were applied to look into the adsorption performance of adsorbents in water. Moreover, the adsorption mechanisms of Cu and As by LB were investigated, showing that Cu in aqueous solution was removed by the isomorphic substitution, precipitation and electrostatic adsorption while As was removed by co.plexation. In addition, the availability of Cu and As in the soil incubation experiments was reduced by 35.54%–63.00% and 8.39%–29.04%, respectively by using LB. Meanwhile, the addition of LB increased the activities of urease and sucrase by 93.78%–374.35% and 84.35%–520.04%, respectively, of which 1% of the dosage was the best. A phenomenon was found that the richness and structure of microbial co.munity became vigorous within 1% dosage of LB, which indirectly enhanced the passivation and stabilization of heavy metals. These results indicated that the soil environment was significantly improved by LB. This research demonstrates that LB would be an imaginably forceful material for the remediation of anionic and cationic heavy metals in co.taminated water and soil.

Bearing unique redox nature and high oxygen storage capacity,ceria(CeO_(2))has always been a promising co.oxidation catalyst support for gold(Au)catalysts and the ***,a series of Au-CeO_(2)-P(P stands for pH value)samples was prepared by a co.precipitation method with the assistance of an alkaline environment and amino groups functionalized ordered mesoporous polymer(OMP-NH_(2)).Afterward,all samples described above were characterized that the Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts are made of Au-Ce-O solid solution and Au nanoparticles(NPs)supported on CeO_(2).It turns out that OMP-NH_(2) is not just a simple sacrificial template for mesoporous structure,but also plays an important role as an amino source,explaining the presence of rich oxygen *** to the co.centration of oxygen vacancies in Au-Ce-O solid solution is the key factor for the oxygen mobility of co.oxidation,the catalytic results also demonstrate that the catalytic activity of Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts is related to the co.centration of their oxygen ***,Au-CeO_(2)-9.6 with a highest co.centration of oxygen vacancies(as high as 13.98%)in Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts exhibits the best catalytic activity(co.plete co.version at 10℃).

The effects of Zr doping on the existence of Cu and the catalytic performance of Ce_(0.7−x)Zr_(x)Cu_(0.3)O_(2)for co.oxidation were *** characterization results showed that all samples have a cubic structure,and a small amount of Zr doping facilitates Cu^(2+) ions entering the CeO2 lattice,but excessive Zr doping leads to the formation of surface CuO crystals ***,the number of oxygen vacancies caused by the Cu^(2+) entering the lattice(e.g.,Cu^(2+)-□-Ce^(4+);□:oxygen vacancy),and the amount of reducible co.per species caused by CuO crystals,varies with the Zr *** co.oxidation tests indicated that the oxygen vacancy and the reducible co.per species were the adsorption and activation sites of O_(2)and co.respectively,and the co.perative effects between them acco.nted for the high co.oxidation ***,the samples x=0.1 and 0.3,which possessed the most oxygen vacancy or reducible co.per species,showed the best activity for co.oxidation,with full co.co.version obtained at 110℃.The catalyst is also stable and has good resistance to water during the reaction.

With the benefits of low latency,wide transmission bandwidth,and large mode field area,hollow-co.e antiresonant fiber(HC-ARF)has been a research hotspot in the past *** this paper,a hollow co.e step-index antiresonant fiber(HC-SARF),with stepped refractive indices cladding,is proposed and numerically demonstrated with the benefits of loss reduction and bending ***-based capil-laries with both high(n=1.45)and low(as low as n=1.36)refractive indices layers are introduced and formatted in the cladding air *** the finite element method to perform numerical analysis of the designed fiber,results show that at the laser wavelengths of 980 and 1064 nm,the co.finement loss is favorably reduced by about 6 dB/km co.pared with the co.ventional uniform cladding *** bending loss,around 15 cm bending radius of this fiber,is also reduced by 2 dB/*** cladding air hole radius in this fiber is further investigated to optimize the co.finement loss and the mode field diameter with single-mode transmission *** proposed HC-SARF has great potential in optical fiber transmission and high energy delivery.

co. capture by hydrate formation is a novel gas separation technology, by which co. is selectively engaged in the cages of hydrate and is separated with other gases, based on the differences of phase equilibrium for co. and other gases. However. rigorous temperature and pressure, high energy co.t and industrialized hydration separator dragged the development of the hydrate based co. capture. In this paper, the key problems in co. capture from the different sources such as shifted synthesis gas, flue gas and sour natural gas or biogas were analyzed. For shifted synthesis gas and flue gas, its high energy co.sumption is the barrier, and for the sour natural gas or biogas （co./CH4 system）, the bottleneck is how to enhance the selectivity of co. hydration. For these gases, scale-up is the main difficulty. Also, this paper explored the possibility of separating different gases by selective hydrate formation and reviewed the progress of co. separation from shifted synthesis gas, flue gas and sour natural gas or biogas.
