Identification and analysis of serum samples by surface-enhanced Raman spectrosco.y co.bined with characteristic ratio method and PCA for gastric cancer detection

This study aimed to explore the application of surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)in the rapid diagnosis of gastric *** SERS spectra of 68 serum samples from gastric cancer patients and healthy volunteers were *** characteristic ratio method(CRM)and principal co.ponent analysis(PCA)were used to differentiate gastric cancer serum from normal *** with healthy volunteers,the serum SERS intensity of gastric cancer patients was relatively high at 722 cm^(-1),while it was relatively low at 588,644,861,1008,1235,1397,1445 and 1586 cm^(-1).These results indicated that the relative co.tent of nucleic acids in the serum of gastric cancer patients rises while the relative co.tent of amino acids and carbohydrates *** PCA,the sensitivity and specificity of discriminating gastric cancer were 94.1%and 94.1%,respectively,with the accuracy of 94.1%.Based on the intensity ratios of four characteristic peaks at 722,861,1008 and 1397 cm^(-1),CRM presented the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of 100%and 97.4%,respectively,and the accuracy of 98.5%.Therefore,the three peak intensity ratios of I_(722)/I_(861),I_(722)/I_(1008)and I_(722)/I_(1397)can be co.sidered as biologicalfingerprint information for gastric cancer diagnosis and can rapidly and directly reflect the physiological and pathological changes associated with gastric cancer *** study provides an important basis and standards for the early diagnosis of gastric cancer.

co.rosion Behavior of MgZnCa Bulk Amorphous Alloys Fabricated by Spark Plasma Sintering

Centimeter-sized Mg65Zn30Ca5 bulk amorphous alloys were fabricated by the spark plasma sintering process from the amorphous powders with a size smaller than 5 la m prepared by ball-milling. The sintered Mg65Zn30Ca5 samples were in an amorphous state when the spark plasma sintering was performed at a temperature of 383 K under a pressure of 600 MPa. The data of polarization curves presented that the sintered Mg65Zn30Ca5 bulk amorphous alloys exhibited higher co.rosion resistance than pure Mg and AZ31B alloy owing to high co.tent of Zn and homogeneous structure. A calcium phosphate co.pound layer was formed on the sintered Mg65Zn30Ca5 bulk amorphous sample after immersion in Hanks＇ solution, which is effective in improving co.rosion resistance and bioactivity. The sintered MgZnCa bulk amorphous alloys with large dimensions broaden the potential application of bulk amorphous alloys in the biomedical fields.

Identification of prognostic molecular subtypes and model based on CD8+ T cells for lung adenocarcinoma

Background:Cytotoxic T lymphocytes(CD8+T)cells function critically in mediating anti-tumor immune response in cancer *** the speciﬁc functions of CD8+T cells in lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)co.ld help better understand local anti-tumor immune responses and estimate the effect of ***:Gens related to CD8+T cells were identiﬁed by cluster analysis based on the single-cell sequencing data of three LUAD tissues and their paired normal *** gene co.expression network analysis(WGCNA),co.sensus clustering,differential expression analysis,least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)and co. regression analysis were co.ducted to classify molecular subtypes for LUAD and to develop a risk model using prognostic genes related to CD8+T *** of the genes in the prognostic model,their effects on tumor cell invasion,and interactions with CD8+T cells were veriﬁed by cell ***:This study deﬁned two LUAD clusters(CD8+0 and CD8+1)based on CD8+T cells,with cluster CD8+0 being signiﬁcantly associated with the prognosis of *** heterogeneous subtypes(clusters 1,2,and 3)differing in prognosis,genome mutation events,and immune status were categorized using 42 prognostic genes.A prognostic model created based on 11 signiﬁcant genes(including CD200R1,CLEC17A,ZC3H12D,GNG7,SNX30,CDCP1,NEIL3,IGF2BP1,RHOV,ABCC2,and KRT81)was able to independently estimate the death risk for patients in different LUAD ***,the model also showed general applicability in external validation ***-risk patients co.ld beneﬁt more from taking immunotherapy and were signiﬁcantly related to the resistance to anticancer *** results from cell experiments demonstrated that the expression of CD200R1,CLEC17A,ZC3H12D,GNG7,and SNX30 was signiﬁcantly downregulated,while that of CDCP1,NEIL3,IGF2BP1,RHOV,ABCC2 and KRT81 was upregulated in LUAD *** of CD200R1 greatly increased the invasiveness of the LUAD cell

High temperatures are generated due to the sliding co.tacts between the rubbing surfaces of the friction clutch *** this work,by co.sidering the effective thermal co.tact co.ductance under sliding co.ditions,a simulation model of a two-dimensional transient temperature field of the clutch disc was developed.A numerical solution to obtain the surface temperature at different radii was presented based on the finite difference *** with the experimental data,the proposed model for estimating the surface temperature is more accurate than the co.ventional prediction *** results showed that the errors of the calculated temperatures at radii of 114 and 106 mm have obviously reduced by 12.98%and 12.60%,*** addition,the influences of pressure and relative speed on the surface temperature were *** temperature increases with the increase of the relative speed and pressure during the sliding period,and there is an interaction effect between pressure and speed on the surface temperature rise.

Poor co.rosion resistance is one of the main disadvantages for biodegradable magnesium-based metals,especially applied for bone fixation,where there is a high demand of bio-mechanical strength and *** co.ting has been proved as an effective method to co.trol the in vivo *** this study a Ca-P self-sealing micro-arc oxidation(MAO)co.ting was studied to verify its efficacy and biological properties by in vitro and in vivo *** was found that the MAO co.ting co.ld effectively retard the degradation acco.ding to immersion and electrochemical tests as well as 3D reco.struction by X-ray tomography after *** MAO co.ting exhibited no toxicity and co.ld stimulate the new bone ***,the Ca-P self-sealing MAO co.ting co.ld be a potential candidate for application of biodegradable Mg-based implant in bone fixations.

Performance of a deep top-down zoned pit-in-pit excavation close to existing metro lines through winter

Though a co.prehensive in situ measurement project,the performance of a deep pit-in-pit excavation co.structed by the top-down method in seasonal frozen soil area in Shenyang was extensively *** measured excavation responses included the displacement of capping beam and retaining pile,settlement of ground surface,and deformation of metro *** on the analyses of field data,some major findings were obtained:1)the deformations of retaining structures fluctuated along with the increase of temperature,2)the deformation variation of retaining structures after the occurrence of thawing of seasonal frozen soil was greater than that in winter,although the excavation depth was smaller than before,3)the influence area of ground settlement was much smaller because of the features of seasonal frozen sandy soil,4)the displacement of metro line showed a significant spatial effect,and the tunnel lining had an obviously hogging displacement pattern,and 5)earth pressure redistribution occurred due to the co.bined effects of freezing-thawing of seasonal frozen soil and excavation,leading to the deformation of metro *** influence area of ground settlement was obviously smaller than that of Shanghai soft clay or other cases reported in literatures because of special geological co.ditions of ***,the deformation of metro lines was significantly lager after the thawing of the frozen soil,the stress in deep soil was redistributed,and the metro lines were forced to deform to meet a new state of equilibrium.

Digital cancellation of multi-band passive inter-modulation based on Wiener-Hammerstein model

Utilizing multi-band and multi-carrier techniques enhances throughput and capacity in Long-Term Evolution(LTE)-Advanced and 5G New Radio(NR)mobile ***,these techniques introduce Passive Inter-Modulation(PIM)interference in Frequency-Division Duplexing(FDD)*** this paper,a novel multi-band Wiener-Hammerstein model is presented to digitally reco.struct PIM interference signals,thereby achieving effective PIM Cancellation(PIMC)in multi-band *** the model,transmitted signals are independently processed to simulate Inter-Modulation Distortions(IMDs)and Cross-Modulation Distortions(CMDs).Furthermore,the Finite Impulse Response(FIR)filter,basis function generation,and B-spline function are applied for precise PIM product estimation and generation in multi-band *** involving 4 carrier co.ponents from diverse NR frequency bands at varying transmitting powers validate the feasibility of the model for multi-band PIMC,achieving up to 19 dB in PIMC *** to other models,this approach offers superior PIMC performance,exceeding them by more than 5 dB in high transmitting power ***,its lower sampling rate requirement reduces the hardware co.plexity associated with implementing multi-band PIMC.

Great strides have been made over the past decade to establish femtoseco.d lasers in advanced manufacturing systems for enabling new forms of non-co.tact processing of transparent *** advances have shown that a myriad of additive and subtractive techniques is now possible for flexible 2D and 3D structuring of such materials with micro-and nano-scale *** this paper,these techniques have been refined and scaled up to demonstrate the potential for 3D writing of high-density optical packaging co.ponents,specifically addressing the major bottleneck for efficiently co.necting optical fibres to silico. photonic(SiP)processors for use in teleco. and data *** 84-channel fused silica interposer was introduced for high-density edge co.pling of multico.e fibres(MCFs)to a SiP *** laser irradiation followed by chemical etching was further harnessed to open alignment sockets,permitting rapid assembly with precise locking of MCF positions for efficient co.pling to laser written optical waveguides in the interposer.A 3D waveguide fanout design provided an attractive balancing of low losses,modematching,high channel density,co.pact footprint,and low *** 3D additive and subtractive processes thus demonstrated the potential for higher scale integration and rapid photonic assembly and packaging of micro-optic co.ponents for teleco. interco.nects,with possible broader applications in integrated biophotonic chips or micro-displays.
