Helping athletes return to sports participation is a primary goal of anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction *** facilitate the achievement of this goal,decades of research studies have sought to identify knee impairments that reduce knee function as well as interventions to resolve them.1Yet,over the past 10 years,research pertaining to psychological responses(i.e.,cognitions and emotions)after ACL reconstruction has grown exponentially—a phenomenon that can be visualized by entering the search terms"psychological"and"anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction"into the PubMed search engine.

Background:The heterogeneity of patients with COVID-19 may explain the wide variation of mortality rate due to the population characteristics,presence of comorbidities and clinical ***:In this study,we analyzed 5342 patients’recordings and selected a cohort of 177 hospitalized patients with a poor prognosis at an early *** assessed during 6 months their symptomatology,coexisting health conditions,clinical measures and health assistance related to *** Cox proportional hazards models were built to identify the associated factors with mortality ***:We observed that cough and kidney failure triplicate the mortality risk and both bilirubin levels and oncologic condition are shown as the most associated with the demise,increasing in four and ten times the risk,*** clinical characteristics such as fever,diabetes mellitus,breathing frequency,neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio,oxygen saturation,and troponin levels,were also related to mortality risk of in-hospital ***:The present study shows that some symptomatology,comorbidities and clinical measures could be the target of prevention tools to improve survival rates.

Background: Previous research has demonstrated that specific radiographic criteria, including the presence of calcifications and the enhancement pattern on computed tomography (CT) imaging, correlates with clinicopathologic features and outcomes of patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NET). We sought to investigate whether these radiographic characteristics were prognostic among patients with neuroendocrine liver metastases (NELM) undergoing surgical resection. Methods: The preoperative contrast-enhanced CT scans of all patients who underwent resection of NELM at a single institution between 2000-2015 were retrospectively reviewed. The presence of calcifications was determined on non-contrast phase imaging. Enhancement on the arterial phase scan was categorized as hyperenhancing, hypoenhancing, or mixed. Relevant clinicopathologic characteristics as well as recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were compared between groups. Results: Among 82 patients who underwent resection of NELM, 57 had available data on calcifications while 51 had data available on arterial enhancement patterns. Among all patients, median age was 58 (IQR:47-63) and the majority were female (N=48, 59.5%). The most common primary tumor locations were pancreas (N=25, 30.5%) and small bowel (N=27, 32.9%). The most commonly performed operations were right hepatectomy (N=29, 35.4%), bisegmentectomy (N=15, 18.3%), and segmentectomy (N=14, 17.1%). Median tumor number was 4 (IQR: 2-9), median Ki-67 was 5% (IQR: 2-10%), and median size of the largest liver metastasis was 4.5 (IQR: 2.8-7.7) cm. Twelve (21%) patients had tumor calcifications. Among patients with and without calcifications there were no differences in demographics, clinicopathologic characteristics, RFS (P=0.772) or OS (P=0.095). A systematic review of randomized controlled trials and cohort studies was conducted to evaluate data for the effects of minimally invasive procedures for treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia （BPH） on male sexual function. The studies searched were trials that enrolled men with symptomatic BPH who were treated with laser surgeries, transurethral microwave therapy （TUMT）, transurethral needle ablation of the prostate （TUNA）, transurethral ethanol ablation of the prostate （TEAP） and high-intensity frequency ultrasound （HIFU）, in comparison with traditional transurethral resection of the prostate （TURP） or sham operations. A total of 72 studies were identified, of which 33 met the inclusion criteria. Of the 33 studies, 21 were concerned with laser surgeries, six with TUMT, four with TUNA and two with TEAP containing information regarding male sexual function. No study is available regarding the effect of HIFU for BPH on male sexual function. Our analysis shows that minimally invasive surgeries for BPH have comparable effects to those of TURP on male erectile function. Collectively, less than 15.4% or 15.2% of patients will have either decrease or increase, respectively, of erectile function after laser procedures, TUMT and TUNA. As observed with TURP, a high incidence of ejaculatory dysfunction （EjD） is common after treatment of BPH with holmium, potassium-titanyl-phosphate and thulium laser therapies （〉 33.6%）. TUMT, TUNA and neodymium：yttrium aluminum garnet visual laser ablation or interstitial laser coagulation for BPH has less incidence of EjD, but these procedures are considered less effective for BPH treatment when compared with TURP.

Network traffic analysis is one of the core functions in network monitoring for effective network operations and *** online traffic analysis has been widely studied,it is still intensively challenging due to several *** of the primary challenges is the heavy volume of traffic to analyze within a finite amount of time due to the increasing network *** important challenge for effective traffic analysis is to support multivariate functions of traffic variables to help administrators identify unexpected network events *** this end,we propose a new approach with the multivariate analysis that offers a high-level summary of the online network *** this approach,the current state of the network will display patterns compiled from a set of traffic variables,and the detection problems in network monitoring(e.g.,change detection and anomaly detection)can be reduced to a pattern identification and classification *** this paper,we introduce our preliminary work with clustered patterns for online,multivariate network traffic analysis with the challenges and limitations we *** then present a grid-based model that is designed to overcome the limitations of the clustered pattern-based *** will discuss the potential of the new model with respect to the technical challenges including streaming-based computation and robustness to outliers.

Nano-sized titanium oxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) are widely used as a dye in food and cosmetics. TiO2 NPs are known to induce DNA damage when incorporated into cells. However, no bioassay is currently available to easily determine the cell incorporation of TiO2 NPs or related DNA damage, and to date, few studies have examined the different degrees of incorporation into cells according to the size of the TiO2 NPs particles and the presence or absence of cell specificity regarding DNA damage. This present study was therefore designed to examine COS7 cells that had incorporated TiO2 NPs using atmospheric scanning electron microscopy (ASEM). The results indicated that absorption of TiO2 NPs into cells and nuclear abnormalities had occurred. ASEM is a rapid and simple technique that enables the observation of samples immediately after fixation with glutaraldehyde and staining with phosphotungstic acid, and this method was suggested to be useful in screening for DNA damage.

Wellbore instability is reported frequently as one of the most significant incidents during drilling *** of wellbore instability includes estimation of formation mechanical properties and the state of in situ *** this analysis,the only controllable parameter during drilling operation is the mud *** the mud weight is larger than anticipated,the mud will invade into the formation,causing tensile failure of the *** the other hand,a lower mud weight can result in shear failures of rock,which is known as borehole *** predict the potential for failures around the wellbore during drilling,one should use a failure criterion to compare the rock strength against induced tangential stresses around the wellbore at a given mud *** Mohr–Coulomb failure criterion is one of the commonly accepted criteria for estimation of rock strength at a given state of ***,the use of other criteria has been debated in the *** this paper,Mohr–Coulomb,Hoek–Brown and Mogi–Coulomb failure criteria were used to estimate the potential rock failure around a wellbore located in an onshorefield of *** log based analysis was used to estimate rock mechanical properties of formations and state of *** results indicated that amongst different failure criteria,the Mohr–Coulomb criterion underestimates the highest mud pressure required to avoid breakouts around the *** also predicts a lower fracture gradient *** addition,it was found that the results obtained from Mogi–Coulomb criterion yield a better comparison with breakouts observed from the caliper logs than that of Hoek–Brown *** was concluded that the Mogi–Coulomb criterion is a better failure criterion as it considers the effect of the intermediate principal stress component in the failure analysis.
