A research arena(WARA-PS)for sensing,data fusion,user interaction,planning and control of collaborative autonomous aerial and surface vehicles in public safety applications is *** objective is to demonstrate scientific discoveries and to generate new directions for future research on autonomous systems for societal *** enabler is a computational infrastructure with a core system architecture for industrial and academic *** includes a control and command system together with a framework for planning and executing tasks for unmanned surface vehicles and aerial *** motivating application for the demonstration is marine search and rescue operations.A state-of-art delegation framework for the mission planning together with three specific applications is also *** first one concerns model predictive control for cooperative rendezvous of autonomous unmanned aerial and surface *** second project is about learning to make safe real-time decisions under uncertainty for autonomous vehicles,and the third one is on robust terrain-aided navigation through sensor fusion and virtual reality tele-operation to support a GPS-free positioning system in marine *** research results have been experimentally evaluated and demonstrated to industry and public sector audiences at a marine test *** would be most difficult to do experiments on this large scale without the WARA-PS research ***,these demonstrator activities have resulted in effective research dissemination with high public visibility,business impact and new research collaborations between academia and industry.

Blockchain-Based Secure and Fair IoT Data Trading System with Bilateral Authorization

These days,data is regarded as a valuable asset in the era of the data economy,which demands a trading platform for buying and selling ***,online data trading poses challenges in terms of security and fairness because the seller and the buyer may not fully trust each ***,in this paper,a blockchain-based secure and fair data trading system is proposed by taking advantage of the smart contract and matchmaking *** proposed system enables bilateral authorization,where data trading between a seller and a buyer is accomplished only if their policies,required by each other,are satisfied *** can be achieved by exploiting the security features of the matchmaking *** guarantee non-repudiation and fairness between trading parties,the proposed system leverages a smart contract to ensure that the parties honestly carry out the data trading ***,the smart contract in the proposed system does not include complex cryptographic operations for the efficiency of onchain ***,these operations are carried out by off-chain parties and their results are used as input for the on-chain *** system also uses an arbitration protocol to resolve disputes based on the trading proof recorded on the *** performance of the protocol is evaluated in terms of off-chain computation overhead and on-chain gas *** results of the experiments demonstrate that the proposed protocols can enable the implementation of a cost-effective data trading system.

Sensor Calibration in Support for NOAA's Satellite Mission

Sensor calibration, including its definition, purpose, traceability options, methodology, complexity, and importance, is examined in this paper in the context of supporting NOAA＇s satellite mission. Common understanding of sensor calibration is essential for the effective communication among sensor vendors, calibration scientists, satellite operators, program managers, and remote sensing data users, who must cooperate to ensure that a nation＇s strategic investment in a sophisticated operational environmental satellite system serves the nation＇s interest and enhances the human lives around the world. Examples of calibration activities at NOAA/NESDIS/ORA are selected to further illustrate these concepts and to demonstrate the lessons learned from the past experience.

HPGe and Scintillation Detectors Comparisons on Waste Drums Radioactivity Measurement

Two measurement systems, one being comprised of three HPGe detectors and the other being a 4π measurement system of the assembly of 10 sets of scintillation detectors, were compared for their measurement performance in operations of radioactive waste drum radioactivity measurement and clearance and release operation of decommissioning. The system features of the former were high costs, capable of identifying radionuclides, a measurement time of about 1000 sec. The system features of the latter were high sensibility, capable of identifying hotspots, a measurement time of about 100 sec. Various comparisons were made for the differences of the two systems on reference drums, whole-drum homogeneous and non-homogeneous metal drums and non-metal drums, whole-drums of different filling rates. The aim was to compare the differences of the two measurement systems in measuring radioactivity of critical radionuclides of 137Cs, 54Mn and 60Co.

In this paper, we propose a fast and simple system emulator, called a system performance emulator(SPE), to evaluate long read *** SPE estimates how much system-wide performance is enhanced by using a faster solid state disk(SSD).By suspending a CPU for a certain time during direct memory access(DMA) transfer and subtracting this suspended time from the total DMA time, the SPE estimates the improvement in system performance expected from an enhanced SSD prior to its *** also examine the relation between storage performance and system performance using the SPE.

The current coronavirus pandemic is imposing unpreceded challenges to the practice of pediatric *** are highlighted in their impact on performing aerosol-generating endoscopy procedures and the need to accommodate longer room turnaround time for disinfection,ensuring appropriate and consistent safety measures for patients,staff and providers,and emphasizing the importance for screening patients for active coronavirus disease(COVID)infection before endoscopy when *** patients are less likely to exhibit severe COVID-related symptoms so survey-based screening would not be a sensitive measure to identify patients with active *** address the restrictions of patients coming for face to face clinic encounters,there has been rapid expansion of telehealth services in a very short time period with several difficulties *** survive these challenges,pediatric gastroenterology practices need to adapt and accept flexibility in clinical operations with ongoing commitment to safety for patients and healthcare workers.

The rapid advancement of data in web-based communication has created one of the biggest issues concerning the security of data carried over the internet from unauthorized *** improve data security,modern cryptosystems use ***,data privacy has become a key concern for consumers who transfer sensitive data from one place to *** address these problems,many companies rely on cryptographic techniques to secure data from illegal activities and *** these cryptographic approaches,AES is a well-known algorithm that transforms plain text into cipher text by employing substitution box(S-box).The S-box disguises the relationship between cipher text and the key to guard against cipher *** security of a cipher using an S-box depends on the cryptographic strength of the respective ***,various researchers have employed different techniques to construct high order non-linear *** paper provides a novel approach for evolving S-boxes using coset graphs for the action of the alternating group A5 over the finite field and the symmetric group *** motivation for this work is to study the symmetric group and coset *** authors have performed various analyses against conventional security criteria such as nonlinearity,differential uniformity,linear probability,the bit independence criterion,and the strict avalanche criterion to determine its high cryptographic *** evaluate its image application performance,the proposed S-box is also used to encrypt digital *** performance and comparison analyses show that the suggested S-box can secure data against cyber-attacks.

Customized Foot Orthosis Development by 3D Reconstruction of the CT Images

Clinicians can provide a means to better distribute the pressure around the foot, and can also correct the biomechanics of the foot by using a customized shoe insole. If detected early enough, orthopedic insoles can correct or prevent further complications. In this study the 3 Dimensional (D) model of the foot was used to fabricate a customized orthosis. The Computed Tomography (CT) images of patient’s foot having no muscle weakness and joint restriction were acquired. The gray intensities corresponding to the bones of the foot from the CT images were 3 dimensionally reconstructed. The 3D model of the foot was then imported into the CAD Software. Boolean operations were carried out in between the 3D foot model and a solid rectangular surface to create a customized foot orthosis. The exact contours and shape of the subject’s foot was acquired using the computerized method of fabricating an orthosis. The novel idea described in this study support, automating the process of designing a customized orthosis with the impression got from the 3 dimensionally modeled feet, thereby reducing the modeling time considerably. The simple technique used in this process will help in giving comfort and stability to the patient’s feet while walking.

Single-incision laparoscopic surgery to treat hepatopancreatobiliary cancer:A technical review

Single-incision laparoscopic surgery(SILS),or laparoendoscopic single-site surgery,was launched to minimize incisional traumatic effects in the *** SILS,such as cholecystectomies,have been gaining in popularity over the past few *** application in complicated hepatopancreatobiliary(HPB)surgeries,however,has made slow progress due to instrumental and technical limitations,costs,and safety *** minimally invasive abdominal surgery is pushing the boundaries,advanced laparoscopic HPB surgeries have been shown to be comparable to open operations in terms of patient and oncologic safety,including hepatectomies,distal pancreatectomies(DP),and pancreaticoduodenectomies(PD).In contrast,advanced SILS for HPB malignancy has only been reported in a few small case *** of the procedures involved minor liver resections and DP;major hepatectomies were rarely *** laparoscopic PD has not yet been *** herein review the published SILS for HPB cancer in the literature and our three-year experience focusing on the technical aspects.

＜正＞For the correct operation of the road lighting devices and for assuring the appropriate photometric parameters on the lit road,it is very important to schedule performing the maintenance operations of the mentioned *** referring to the exploitation of the lighting points,the maintenance operations concern first of all the operations related to the light sources replacement and luminaires cleaning,including replacement with the new ones,in case the ageing changes during their exploitation do not allow providing the appropriate lighting *** providing the appropriate schedule of the maintenance operations,it is possible to obtain the appropriate qualitative and quantitative lighting parameters and moreover it allows identifying the optimum maintenance factors for the designed road lighting. In the article,there have been presented the results of the laboratory research concerning exploitation changes of the road lighting luminaries efficiency when operating in the real conditions in selected points at the Pozna（?）city territory,（population of approximately 600000 inhabitants）.The working environments of the lighting points have been divided into four categories that differ in the road vehicle traffic intensity,medium-annual dust sedimentation and road communication importance for the *** the bases of the results from performed research and data obtained from the light sources manufacturers,concerning the exploitation decrease of the lamps luminous flux and their burn out in time,there have been proposed the appropriate procedures of performing the lighting points maintenance operations in the road lighting and the maintenance factor values appropriate for these procedures.
