Nutrient management plays a crucial role in the yield and quality of sweet corn.A field experiment was conducted in consecutive two kharif seasons in 2018 and 2019 to investigate the effect of various organic sources of nutrients in combination with inorganic sources on the yield and quality of sweet corn under new alluvial soils of West Bengal,*** were:T_(1):Control(without fertilizers);T_(2):100%recommended dose(RDF)of chemical fertilizers(CF)(RDF CF_(100%));T_(3):100%recommended dose of N(RDN)through vermicompost(VC)(RDN VC_(100%));T_(4):50 RDN through CF+50%RDN through VC(RDN CF_(50%)+RDN VC50%);T_(5):50%RDF through CF+50%RDN through organic source(OS)1,Soligro(Ascophyllum nodosum)granular(RDN CF_(50%)+RDN OS_(150%));T6:50%RDN through CF+50%RDN through OS 2,Bioenzyme(liquid)(RDN CF_(50%)+RDN OS250%);T7:50%RDN through CF+50%RDN through OS 3,Opteine(Ascophyllum nodosum)filtrate[RDN CF_(50%)+RDN OS350%];T8:50%RDN through VC+50%RDF through OS 1,Soligro(Ascophyllum nodosum)granular(RDN VC50%+RDN OS_(150%)).The OS of fertilizers were VC,SoliGro Gr(OS1)(Ascophyllum nodosum),Bioenzyme liquid(OS2),and Opteine(Ascophyllum nodosum)filtrate(OS3).The inorganic source was traditional CF applied at the RDF(150:75:75 kg ha^(−1) of N:P2O5:K2O).The VC was used to supply 100%RDN as one source or 50%RDN when combined with CF or *** fruit yield(10.75 and 10.79 t ha^(−1) in 2018 and 2019,respectively)was recorded when RDF was substituted through CF only,being statistically at par with 50%CF+50%VC on a nitrogen equivalent basis(9.92 and 10.00 t ha^(−1) in 2018 and 2019,respectively)and 100%VC(8.22 and 8.32 t ha^(−1) in 2018 and 2019,respectively).Compared to chemical sources of nutrients,VC-based treatments produced a larger percentage of large-size cob(>25 cm).The 100%VC increased antioxidant(8.35 and 8.45 mg g^(−1)),carotenoid(0.59 and 0.61 mg/100 g),and phenol(55.06 and 55.02 mg 100 g^(−1))content compared with its 50%dose in combination with other *** s

How would Capital Account Liberalization Affect China's Capital Flows and the Renminbi Real Exchange Rates?

In this paper we study the determinants of gross capital flows, project the size of China＇s international investment position in 2020, and analyze the implications for the renminbi real exchange rate if China liberalizes the capital account. We assume in this exercise that the renminbi will have largely achieved capital account convertibility by the end of the current decade, a timetable consistent with recent proposals by the People ＇s Bank of China. Our analysis shows that if the capital account were liberalized, China＇s gross international investment position would grow significantly, and inflows and outflows would become much more balanced. The private sector would turn its net liability position into a balanced position, and the official sector would reduce its net asset position significantly, relative to the country ＇s GDP. Because of the increasing importance of private sector foreign claims and the decreasing importance of official foreign reserves, China would be able to earn higher net investment income from abroad. Overall, China would continue to be a net creditor, with the net foreign asset position as a share of GDP remaining largely stable through this decade. These findings suggest that the renminbi real exchange rate would not be particularly sensitive to capital account liberalization as capital flows are expected to be two-sided. The renminb i real exchange rate would likely be on a path of moderate appreciation as China is expected to maintain a sizeable growth differential with its trading partners.

China's Economic Growth:international Spillovers

China＇s economic development since 1978 is one of the most significant events in recent history. Many aspects of this development have been extensively analyzed in the published literature. However, the implications of China ＇s growth for other countries have been relatively neglected. The present paper attempts to fill this gap in the literature. The paper first presents some facts on China＇s role in the world economy, and then measures the impact of China＇s growth on growth in the rest of the world in both the short term and the long term. Short-run estimates based on vector autoregression and error correction models suggest that spillover effects of China＇s growth have increased in recent decades, Long- term spillover effects, estimated through growth regressions based on panel data, are also significant and have extended in recent decades beyond Asia. The estimates are robust to the effects of global and regional shocks, changes in model specification, and sample period.

Most iterative algorithms for eigenpair computation consist of two main steps:a subspace update(SU)step that generates bases for approximate eigenspaces,followed by a Rayleigh-Ritz(RR)projection step that extracts approximate *** far the predominant methodology for the SU step is based on Krylov subspaces that builds orthonormal bases piece by piece in a sequential *** this work,we investigate block methods in the SU step that allow a higher level of concurrency than what is reachable by Krylov subspace *** achieve a competitive speed,we propose an augmented Rayleigh-Ritz(ARR)*** this ARR procedure with a set of polynomial accelerators,as well as utilizing a few other techniques such as continuation and deflation,we construet a block algorithm designed to reduce the number of RR steps and elevate concurrency in the SU *** computational experiments are conducted in C on a representative set of test problems to evaluate the performance of two variants of our *** results,obtained on a many-core computer without explicit code parallelization,show that when computing a relatively large number of eigenpairs,the performance of our algorithms is competitive with that of several state-of-the-art eigensolvers.

Molecular dynamics （MD） computer simulation techniques, as a powerful tool commonly utilized by the liquid crystal display （LCD） community, usually are employed for computing the equilibrium and transport properties of a classical many body system, since they are very similar to real experiments in many respects. In this paper we pre- sent molecular dynamics computer simulation results taken for a mixture of the two different kinds of nematic liq- uid crystals （LCs）. We calculated rotational viscosity from Brownian behavior with friction of the mean director of the mixture comprising pentylcyanobiphenol （5CB） and decylcyanobiphenol （10CB） by using molecular dynamics computer simulation, where intermolecular potential parameter is Generalized AMBER force field （GAFF）. Our computed results show a good agreement with the experimental results.
