With the term "oncological screening", we define the overall performances made to detect early onset of tumors. These tests are conducted on a population that does not have any signs or symptoms related to a neoplasm. The whole population above a certain age, only one sex, only subjects with a high risk of developing cancer due to genetic, professional, discretionary reasons may be involved. Screening campaigns should be associated, when risk factors that can be avoided are known, with campaigns for the prevention of cancer by means of suitable behavior. The goal of cancer screening cannot however be limited to the diagnosis of a greater number of neoplasms. Screening will be useful only if it leads to a reduction in overall mortality or at least in mortality related to the tumor. Screening should then allow the diagnosis of the disease at a stage when there is a possibility of healing, possibility that is instead difficult when the disease is diagnosed at the appearance of signs or symptoms. This is the reason why not all campaigns of cancer screening have the same effectiveness. In Italy, every year there are about 150000 deaths due to cancer. Some of these tumors can be cured with a very high percentage of success if diagnosed in time. Cervical cancer can be diagnosed with non-invasive tests. The screening test used all over the world is Papanicolaou(Pap) test. This test may be carried out over the entire healthy population potentially exposed to the risk of contracting cancer. Public health has begun the screening campaigns in the hope of saving many of the approximately 270000 new cases of cancer reported each year. Screening is done following protocols that guarantee quality at the national level: these protocols are subject to change over time to reflect new realities or to correct any errors in the system. Objective: To analyze the effects of acupuncture on in vitro fertilization patients with unexplained ***: We retrospectively analyzed the charts of a total of 302 cycles performed in 273 patients attending Assisted Reproductive Technology(ART) Centre from August 2013 to August *** the study period,embryo transfer with acupuncture(Acupuncture group,46 cases) and without acupuncture(Control group,42 cases) were *** to embryo transfer,the following points were used in the acupuncture group: Neiguan(CX 6),Diji(SP 8),Taichong(Liv 3),Baihui(Gv 20),and Guilai(S 29).These sessions were carried out two times before and after embryo transfer in a single *** addition,auricular acupuncture was also performed at ear points,including ear point 55(Shenmen),ear point 58(Zhigong),ear point 22(Neifenmi)and ear point 34(Naodian).The biochemical pregnancy rate and clinical pregnancy rate after transplantation were compared between two ***: The clinical pregnancy rate in the acupuncture group was higher than that in the control group [60.9%(28/46) vs.33.3%(14/42),respectively,P<0.05].Likewise,the live birth rate in the acupuncture group was also higher than that in the control group [71.7%(33/46) vs.31.0%(12/42),P<0.01).Conclusion: Administration of acupuncture on the day of embryo transfer dramatically improved fertility results in women who underwent in vitro fertilization/intra-cytoplasm sperm injection for reproduction.

Maternal-fetal cell exchange during pregnancy results in acquisition of microchimerism, which can durably persist in both recipients. Naturally acquired microchimerism may impact maternal-fetal interaction in pregnancy. We conducted studies to ask whether microchimerism that a woman acquired from her own mother is detectable before or during pregnancy in women with recurrent miscarriage. Fetal microchimerism was also assayed. Women with primary idiopathic recurrent miscarriage （n=23） and controls （n=31） were studied. Genotyping was conducted for probands, their mothers and the fetus, a non-shared polymorphism identified and quantitative polymerase chain reaction performed to measure microchimerismin peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Preconception comparisons were made between recurrent miscarriage subjects and controls, using logistic regression and Wilcoxon rank sum. Longitudinal microchimerism in subsequent pregnancies of recurrent miscarriage subjects was described. There was a trend toward lower preconception detection of microchimerism in recurrent miscarriage versus controls, 6% vs. 19% （1/16 vs. 6/31, P=0.2）. During pregnancy, 3111 （27%） of recurrent miscarriage subjects who went on to have a birth had detection of microchimerism from their own mother, whereas neither of two subjects who went on to miscarry had detection （0/2）. This initial data suggest that microchimerism from a woman＇s own mother, while detectable in women with recurrent miscarriage, may differ from controls and according to subsequent pregnancy outcome. Further studies are needed to determine the cell types,quantities and any potential functional role of microchimerism in recurrent miscarriage.

Although glycogen synthase kinase-3(GSK-3)might act as a tumor suppressor since its inhibition is expected tomimic the activation of Wnt-signaling pathway,GSK-3β may contribute to NF-κ3 activation in cancer cells leading toincreased cancer cell proliferation and *** we report that GSK-3β activity was involved in the proliferationof human ovarian cancer cell both in vitro and in *** of GSK-3 activity by pharmacological inhibitors sup-pressed proliferation of the ovarian cancer *** constitutively active form of GSK-3β induced entryinto the S phase,increased cyclin D1 expression and facilitated the proliferation of ovarian cancer ***,GSK-3 inhibition prevented the formation of the tumor in nude mice generated by the inoculation of human ovariancancer *** findings thus suggest that GSK-3β activity is important for the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells,implicating this kinase as a potential therapeutic target in ovarian cancer.

Neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery （NCS） has not been fully evaluated clinically. Currently, the main regimen of neoadjuvant chemotherapy （NAC） used in NCS includes cisplatin. The antitumor effects of NAC reduce lymph node metastasis and the tumor diameter in patients prior to surgery, and this can reduce the number of high risk patients who require postoperative radiation therapy. Many randomized controlled trials （RCTs） have examined the long-term prognosis of NCS compared to primary surgery, but the utility of NCS remains uncertain. The advent of concurrent chemoradiotherapy （CCRT） has markedly improved the outcome of radiotherapy （RT）, and CCRT is now used as a standard method in many cases of advanced bulky cervical cancer. NCS gives a better treatment outcome than radiation therapy alone, but it is important to verify that NCS gives a similar or better outcome compared to CCRT.
