Aqueous solutions of methyldiethanolamine （MDEA） and piperazine （PZ） are commonly used solvent nowadays. In this work a thermodynamic analysis with the Electrolyte-NRTL model has been performed for systems composed of acidic g.ses and MDEA＋ PZ aqueous solution. ASPEN Plus＇s has been used for thermodynamic modeling. Values of binary interaction parameters for liquid phase activity coefficients have been estimated from reg.essions of experimental data. Moreover, the influence of the interactions between ion pairs and MDEA or PZ molecular species has been analyzed. The final aim is to obtain a reliable tool for desig. and simulation of absorption and stripping.columns, fundamentals also in order to carry out energ. saving.studies.

Ag.r-Carbomer（branched poly（acrylic acid）） hydrog.l,an injectable bio-resorbable scaffold with a controlled nanostructure specifically desig.ed for neural cell housing.was developed tog.ther with a new protocol for building.three dimensional biohybrid cell/hydrog.l *** order to overcome classic structural analysis inconveniences due to the hig. water amount,which affects instruments results and reliability,ag.r-Carbomer hydrog.ls were synthesized by microwave-assisted block copolymerization tog.ther with La3＋ *** g.ycol,g.ycerol and buffered saline solution were used as cross-linking.ag.nts and solvent,*** properties were not affected by the presence of lanthanum,and were checked via swelling.and rheolog.cal ***,the presence of La3＋ within the polymeric network was characterized by thermog.avimetric analysis,environmental scanning.electron microscopy and Fourier transformed infrared *** results showed that the rare earth presented uniform distribution in the hydrog.l network due to the formation of chemical bonds after polymerization without being.modified its luminescence emission spectrum that allowed hydrog.l *** results made the obtained host-g.est system a useful tool for analytical research studies concerning.reg.nerative medical applications that could also be potentially taken up with in vivo experiments.

The Hg.0 vapor adsorption experimental results on a novel sorbent obtained by impreg.ating.a commercially available activated carbon （Darco g.0 from BDH） with silver nitrate were *** study was performed by using.a fundamental approach,in an apparatus at laboratory scale in which a synthetic flue g.s,formed by Hg.0 vapors in a nitrog.n g.s stream,at a g.ven temperature and mercury concentration,was flowed throug. a fixed bed of adsorbent *** curves and adsorption isotherms were obtained for bed temperatures of 90,120 and 150°C and for Hg.0 concentrations in the g.s varying.in the rang. of 0.8–5.0 mg.m 3 .The experimental g.s-solid equilibrium data were used to evaluate the Lang.uir parameters and the heat of *** experimental results showed that silver impreg.ated carbon was very effective to capture elemental mercury and the amount of mercury adsorbed by the carbon decreased as the bed temperature *** addition,to evaluate the possibility of adsorbent recovery,desorption was also *** runs showed that both the adsorbing.material and the mercury could be easily recovered,since at the end of desorption the residue on solid was almost *** material balance on mercury and the constitutive equations of the adsorption phenomenon were integ.ated,leading.to the evaluation of only one kinetic parameter which fits well both the experimentally determined breakthroug. and desorption curves.

The Eu(Ⅲ)nitrate complex of the meso-N,N’-bis(2-pyridylmethylene)-1,2-(R,S)-cyclohexanediamine lig.nd was synthesized and characterized by sing.e crystal and powder X-ray *** crystal lattice of the complex is capable of absorbing.and desorbing.selectively acetonitrile molecules,at 293 K upon an acetonitrile vapor pressure of^0.1×10^5 *** process,which is partially reversible,can be easily followed by both powder X-ray diffraction(P-XRD)and Eu(III)luminescence *** acetonitrile molecule,located in the outer coordination sphere of the metal ion,does not affect the radiative transition probability of 5 D0 level of Eu(Ⅲ)and also it does not activate further non-radiative channels from this *** the other hand,this molecule is capable of affecting.the energ. position and intensities of the crystal field components of the 5 D0→7 F2 *** complex in solid form can be considered a promising.material for the optical sensing.of acetonitrile vapors.

Orig.nally identified as allelochemicals involved in plant-parasite interactions, more recently, Strig.lactones （SLs） have been shown to play multiple key roles in the rhizosphere communication between plants and mycorrhizal fung.. Even more recent is the hormonal role ascribed to SLs which broadens the biolog.cal impact of these relatively simple molecules. In spite of the crucial and multifaceted biolog.cal role of SLs, there are no data on the receptor（s） which bind（s） such active molecules, neither in the producing.plants nor in parasitic weeds or AM fung.. Information about the putative receptor of SLs can be g.thered by means of structural, molecular, and g.netic approaches. Our contribution on this topic is the desig. and synthesis of fluorescent labeled SL analog. to be used as probes for the detection in vivo of the receptor（s）. Knowledg. of the putative receptor structure will boost the research on analog. of the natural substrates as required for ag.icultural applications.
