Modal parameters can accurately characterize the structural dynamic properties and assess the physical state of the ***,it is particularly signiﬁcant to identify the structural modal parameters according to the monitoring data information in the structural health monitoring(SHM)system,so as to provide a scientiﬁc basis for structural damage identiﬁcation and dynamic model modiﬁ*** view of this,this paper reviews methods for identifying structural modal parameters under environmental excitation and brieﬂy describes how to identify structural damages based on the derived modal *** paper primarily introduces data-driven modal parameter recognition methods(e.g.,time-domain,frequency-domain,and time-frequency-domain methods,etc.),brieﬂy describes damage identiﬁcation methods based on the variations of modal parameters(e.g.,natural frequency,modal shapes,and curvature modal shapes,etc.)and modal validation methods(e.g.,Stability diagram and Modal Assurance Criterion,etc.).The current status of the application of artiﬁcial intelligence(AI)methods in the direction of modal parameter recognition and damage identiﬁcation is further *** on the pre-vious analysis,the main development trends of structural modal parameter recognition and damage identiﬁcation methods are given to provide scientiﬁc references for the optimized design and functional upgrading of SHM systems.

In this paper,it is shown that the performances of a class of high-gain practical observers can be improved by estimating the time derivatives of the output up to an order that is greater than the dimension of the system, which is assumed to be in observability form and, possibly, time-varying. Such an improvement is achieved without increasing the gain of the observers, thus allowing their use in a wide variety of control and identification applications.

For optimal design of a gating system,the setting of diagnosis parameters is very *** this study,the permanent mold casting process was selected because most of the other casting processes have more complicated factors that influence the mold filling pattern compared to the permanent mold casting process,such as the surface roughness of mold,gas generation from the mold wash and binder of sand mold,and the gas permeability through a sand mold,*** diagnosis parameters(flow rate difference and arrival time difference) of molten metal flow pattern in the numerical simulation are suggested for design of an optimum casting system with a permanent *** results show that the arrival time difference can be used as one important diagnosis parameter of the complexity of the runner system and its usefulness has been verified via making aluminum parts using permanent mold casting(Fig.9).

The simulation field became essential in designing or developing new casting products and in improving manufacturing processes within limited time, because it can help us to simulate the nature of processing, so that developers can make ideal casting designs. To take the prior occupation at commercial simulation market, so many development groups in the world are doing their every effort. They already reported successful stories in manufacturing fields by developing and providing the high performance simulation technologies for multipurpose. But they all run at powerful desk-side computers by well-trained experts mainly, so that it is hard to diffuse the scientific designing concept to newcomers in casting field. To overcome upcoming problems in scientific casting designs, we utilized information technologies and full-matured hardware backbones to spread out the effective and scientific casting design mind, and they all were integrated into Simulation Portal on the web. It professes scientific casting design on the NeT including ubiquitous access way represented by ＂Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere＂ concept for casting designs.

Cartesian Grid Method with Cut Cell in the Mold Filling Simulation

In this paper, a Cartesian grid method with cut cell has been developed to simulate mold filling of casting process. Cut cells at the cast-mold interface are generated on the Cartesian grid. With the boundary cut cells, a special treatment is necessary. That is Cartesian grid method with cut cell. A simple shape was tested and the cut cell method was compared with the traditional one on Cartesian grids. And, a developed method was applied to the real casting product simulation. Cartesian grid system causes momentum loss and unsound fluid flow patterns because of inaccurate generation of meshes. These problems have been improved by using cut cell method.

As the ASIC design cost becomes affordable only for very large-scale productions, the FPGA technology is currently becoming the leading technology for those applications that require a small-scale production. FPGAs can be considered as a technology crossing between hardware and software. Only a small-number of standards for the design of safety-critical systems give guidelines and recommendations that take the peculiarities of the FPGA technology into consideration. The main contribution of this paper is an overview of the existing design standards that regulate the design and verification of FPCA-based systems in safety-critical application fields. Moreover, the paper proposes a survey of significant published research proposals and existing industrial guidelines about the topic, and collects and reports about some lessons learned from industrial and research projects involving the use of FPGA devices.

With the rapid development of flexible wearable electronics,the demand for stretchable energy storage devices has *** this work,a novel gradient-layered architecture was design based on single-pore hollow lignin nanospheres(HLNPs)-intercalated two-dimensional transition metal carbide(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene)for fabricating highly stretchable and durable *** depositing and inserting HLNPs in the MXene layers with a bottom-up decreasing gradient,a multilayered porous MXene structure with smooth ion channels was constructed by reducing the overstacking of MXene ***,the micro-chamber architecture of thin-walled lignin nanospheres effectively extended the contact area between lignin and MXene to improve ion and electron accessibility,thus better utilizing the pseudocapacitive property of *** these strategies effectively enhanced the capacitive performance of the *** addition,HLNPs,which acted as a protective phase for MXene layer,enhanced mechanical properties of the wrinkled stretchable electrodes by releasing stress through slip and deformation during the stretch-release cycling and greatly improved the structural integrity and capacitive stability of the *** electrodes and symmetric flexible all-solid-state supercapacitors capable of enduring 600%uniaxial tensile strain were developed with high specific capacitances of 1273 mF cm^(−2)(241 F g^(−1))and 514 mF cm^(−2)(95 F g^(−1)),***,their capacitances were well preserved after 1000 times of 600%stretch-release *** study showcased new possibilities of incorporating biobased lignin nanospheres in energy storage devices to fabricate stretchable devices leveraging synergies among various two-dimensional nanomaterials.

The design of high voltage and medium voltage AC and DC standoff insulators,and,in general,of insulation systems where surface and interface properties are predominant factors,is based on specifications and standards that rely upon long-term experiences and lab *** insulating properties depend on electrical and thermal stresses,besides environmental factors,and the inception of extrinsic ageing phenomena,such as partial discharges,can be already a cause of reduced reliability and premature failure(for organic insulating materials).An innovative approach,based on field simulation,discharge modelling,and partial discharge inception measurements is presented by the authors,which can establish a solid basis to optimise insulation design for any type of supply voltage *** method,the three-leg approach,is applied here to a cable system under AC sinusoidal voltage,but it can work for any type of insulation system,such as bushings,switch gears,transformers,rotating machines,and power electronics boards.

In recent technology nodes,reliability is increasingly considered a part of the standard design flow to be taken into account at all levels of embedded systems *** traditional fault simulation techniques based on low-level models at gate-and register transfer-level offer high accuracy,they are too inefficient to properly cope with the complexity of modern embedded ***,they do not allow for early exploration of design alternatives when a detailed model of the whole system is not yet available,which is highly required to increase the efficiency and quality of the design ***-level models that combine the simulation efficiency of high abstraction models with the accuracy of low-level models are therefore essential to efficiently evaluate the impact of physical defects on the *** paper proposes a methodology to efficiently implement concurrent multi-level fault simulation across gate-and transaction-level models in an integrated simulation *** leverages state-of-the-art techniques for efficient fault simulation of structural faults together with transaction-level *** combination of different models allows to accurately evaluate the impact of faults on the entire hardware/software system while keeping the computational effort ***,since only selected portions of the system require low-level models,early exploration of different design alternatives is efficiently *** results obtained from three case studies are presented to demonstrate the high accuracy of the proposed method when compared with a standard gate/RT mixed-level approach and the strong improvement of simulation time which is reduced by four orders of magnitude in average.
