Background: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of life(QoL) of hospitalized patients in China suffering from digestive system malignancies and to identify potential risk factors for a decrease in ***: The European Organization for Research and Treatment Core quality of Life questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30) was applied to evaluate the QoL of 23,519 patients with six digestive malignancies(esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, biliary tract cancer, and pancreatic cancer). A t test or analysis of variance was employed to analyze the total EORTC QLQ-C30 scale scores and domain scores of the EORTC QLQ-C30 scale among patients in different ***: The average QoL score was 50.4 ± 10.8. The tumor type, age, sex, and TNM stage al had an impact on QoL ratings. Colorectal cancer patients had a better total QoL score(49.3 ± 10.3) and scores in the domains of functioning, with milder symptoms, except for diarrhea. Patients with biliary tract cancer(54.2 ± 12.3) and pancreatic cancer(54.2 ± 12.3) reported a poorer QoL, significant functional impairment, and more pronounced symptoms. Patients with esophageal cancer experienced the most severe financial difficulties(35.2 ± 27.5). Patients aged ≥65 years, women, and those with TNM stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ reported lower QoL. In addition, the disparities in total QoL scores and scores in specific domains were significant among patients with some types of tumors, and based on ethnicity, educational level, occupation, treatment(s) received, and place of ***: There is a need to focus on elderly individuals, those with low educational levels, and patients with progressive malignant tumors and to improve routine disease monitoring and symptom management to enhance the quality of life for patients with malignancies of the digestive system.

To the Editor:De-escalating the treatment of ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS)of the breast has been investigated in recent years.A 5-year adjuvant endocrine therapy(AET)regimen is the recommended treatment for hormone receptor-positive *** estrogen receptor modulators(such as the commonly used tamoxifen and toremifene)and aromatase inhibitors(AIs)are the currently used AET ***,long-term AET is accompanied by severe side effects such as menopausal symptoms,endometrial carcinoma,cardiovascular events,venous thromboembolic events,osteoporosis,and joint pain that can significantly reduce patients’quality of *** was reported that only 50%of the patients completed the recommended 5-year AET mainly because of side effects,while higher adherence rates were observed with shorter-duration regimens.[1,2]Therefore,de-escalation of AET should be considered to reduce the side effects of AET and improve adherence.

Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer,and this adversely affects the survival and quality of life of *** Society for Nutritional Oncology issued a multi-center,large-scale,long-term follow-up prospective study,the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Patients with Common Cancers in China(INSCOC study)since *** is an extension to the previous 2013-2020 study *** study still sought to:①address the prognostic impact of nutritional factors and quality of life on cancer patient survival;②describe the overall and cancer-specific incidence and/or distribution of malnutrition and different measurements of patient quality of *** and study design This is an observational,multi-centered,hospital-based prospective cohort *** collection will be performed at baseline(within 48 hours after patient admission),during the hospital stay and 30 days after hospital ***-up will be conducted for 1-20 years after *** primary outcome will be the all-cause mortality/overall survival,and secondary outcomes will be the length of hospital stay and costs of *** factors will include demographic characteristics,tumor characteristics,information about chronic diseases,hematological measurements(e.g.,red blood cell count,total lymphocyte counts,hemoglobin,albumin,prealbumin,creatinine,C-reactive protein,IL-6),anthropometric measurements(e.g.,height,weight,arm circumference,arm muscle circumference,triceps skinfold thickness,and waist circumference),body composition parameters,PG-SGA scores,quality of life(as indicated by the QLQ-C30 questionnaire),muscle mass(as indicated by the calf circumference),muscle strength(as indicated by the handgrip strength),muscle function(as indicated by the six-meter walking speed test)and physical status assessments(as indicated by the Karnofsky Performance Status scores).This clinical study protocol was approved by local Ethics Committees of

quality of life and functional recovery after burn injury is the final goal of burn care,especially as most of burn patients survive the injury due to advanced medical ***,dysfunction,disfigurement,contractures,psychological problems and other discomforts due to burns and the consequent scars are common,and physical therapy and occupational therapy provide alternative treatments for these problems of burn *** guideline,organized by the Chinese Burn Association and Chinese Association of Burn Surgeons aims to emphasize the importance of team work in burn care and provide a brief introduction of the outlines of physical and occupational therapies during burn treatment,which is suitable for the current medical circumstances of *** can be used as the start of the tools for burn rehabilitation.

Background: Metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC) patients with progressive disease after all available standard therapies need new medication for further treatment. Famitinib is a small-molecule multikinase inhibitor, with promising anticancer activities. This multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, phase II clinical trial was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of famitinib in ***: Famitinib or placebo was administered orally once daily. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS). Secondary endpoints included objective response rate(ORR), disease control rate(DCR), overall survival(OS), quality-of-life(QoL), and ***: Between July 18,2012 and Jan 22,2014, a total of 167 patients were screened, and 154 patients were randomized in a 2:1 ratio to receive either famitinib(n = 99) or placebo(n = 55). The median PFS was 2.8 and 1.5 months in the famitinib and placebo groups(hazard ratio = 0.60,95% confidence interval = 0.41-0.86, P = 0.004). The DCR was 59.8% and 31.4%(P = 0.002) and the ORR was 2.2% and 0.0%(P = 0.540) in the famitinib and placebo groups,respectively. The most frequent grade 3-4 adverse events were hypertension(11.1%), hand-foot syndrome(10.1%),thrombocytopenia(10.1%) and neutropenia(9.1%). Serious adverse events occurred in 11(11.1%) patients in the famitinib group and 5(9.1%) in the placebo group(P = 0.788). Psoriasis is a chronic,recurrent,inflammatory systemic disease that is not only characterized by skin manifestations but may also be accompanied by various comorbidities,imposing a heavy burden on patients’physical and mental health and affecting their quality of *** the continuous approval of various biological agents for clinical use has provided more effective treatment options to patients with psoriasis,no consensus on the evaluation of comprehensive treatment goals has yet been *** treat-to-target(T2T)strategy requires consideration of multiple dimensions of treatment outcomes,the development of long-term management goals,and regular assessments of treatment conditions,which are often used in the management of chronic ***,based on the latest consensuses and guidelines,research data,and clinical experience as well as the combination of survey results and expert group discussions,the present consensus focuses on 4 dimensions of short-and long-term integrated management goals for biological agents:alleviating skin lesions,improving quality of life,screening and managing psoriasis comorbidities,and ensuring drug *** implementation methods,evaluation time,treatment monitoring,and program adjustments are also herein described to achieve comprehensive management of psoriasis to the maximum *** consensus provides a reference for clinical practice.
