Ten kinds of organic depressants were used to investigate the depressing performance on marmatite and *** results show that the organic compounds only with single group of hydroxyl(-OH),carboxyl(-COOH) or amino(-NH2) in molecule are ineffective in depressing marmatite,jamesonite and *** combinations of these functional groups still cannot enhance the depressing ability of organic *** thioglycollic acid containing reductive functional group(-SH) has a good depressing performance for marmatite and *** presence of benzene ring in molecule can enhance the depressing *** functional group electronegativity,hydrophilic-hydrophobic indexes and frontier orbital of organic depressants were calculated,and the criterion for the depressing effect of organic depressants to sulphide minerals was proposed.

To find a way of loads analysis from operational flight data for advanced aircraft,maneuver identification and standardization jobs are conducted in this paper. For thousands of sorties from one aircraft, after studying the flight attitude when performing actions, the start and end time of the maneuvers can be determined. According to those time points, various types of maneuvers during the flight are extracted in the form of multi-parameters time histories. By analyzing the numerical range and curve shape of those parameters, a characteristic data library is established to model all types of maneuvers. Based on this library, a computer procedure using pattern-recognition theory is programmed to conduct automatic maneuver identification with high accuracy. In that way, operational loads are classified according to maneuver type. For a group of identified maneuvers of the same type, after the processes of time normalization, trace shifting, as well as averaging and smoothing, the idealization standard time history of each maneuver type is ***, the typical load statuses are determined successfully based on standard maneuvers. The proposed method of maneuver identification and standardization is able to derive operational loads effectively, and might be applied to monitoring loads in Individual Aircraft Tracking Program（IATP）.

Hard carbon （HC） has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

Silica mesochannels(SMCs) vertically and regularly oriented to the surface of indium tin oxide(ITO) electrodes were prepared and utilized for preconcentration and detection of methylene blue(MB) in aqueous solution. The positively charged MB can be adsorbed to the SMCs by following the pseudo-first-order kinetic model. The negative value of ?G=?34.73 k J/mol derived from the Langmuir adsorption isotherm indicated the thermodynamic feasibility of the adsorption and the spontaneous nature of the process. Moreover, the adsorbed MB can undergo an electrochemical reaction on the ITO electrode at a suitable potential and the resulting electrical current can be utilized to quantify the MB in aqueous solution. A good analytical performance for MB with a linear range from 10 nmol/L to 1.0 ?mol/L and a detection limit at the nmol/L level was obtained. We believe that such a platform consisting of SMCs perpendicularly tethered to the underlying electrode surface simultaneously allows enrichment and electrochemical detection and can be extended for the detection of various charged dyes, as well as many other charged species.

This research focused on how to improve damage resistance of carbon fiber laminates. It was carried out at Cranfield University Composites Centre, Milton Keynes, UK as an MSc by research thesis project. A series of low-cost composite laminates, with or without novel veils provided by Tenax, was manufactured using current aircraft carbon fiber preforms via vacuum infusion （VI） molding in this research. All the investigations on damage resistance of these panels were carried out according to the British Standard （BS ISO 18353：2009）. Initial damage was induced using a falling weight apparatus mounting a 16 mm hemispherical tip. C-scan and Micrograph were employed to reveal damage characteristics. Finally, both compression after impact （CAI） and plain compression strength were experimented. The behaviors of these panels, including damage size, damage construction, residual compression strength, and compression strength reduction, were utilized to investigate how and to what extent the veils affected the damage resistance. The results show that using veils is an efficient method of improving the damage resistance of the laminates studied. Maximum 32% increase in residual compression strength is achieved via veils accompanying with 7% increase in cost.

Several reinforcing schemes are illustrated that are based on the loading characteristics of typical country masonry school buildings with sparsely spaced transversal walls and large depth. From the seismic damage observed following the Wenchuan Earthquake, the effects of reinforcing schemes, tie-columns and tie-beams on the seismic resistance of masonry buildings are analyzed. The concept of improving the ductility of these types of buildings is presented. Finally, some suggestions are proposed for the design of masonry buildings with sparsely spaced transversal walls and large depth.
