The application of extracellular vesicles,particularly exosomes(EXs),is rapidly expanding in the field of medicine,owing to their remarkable properties as natural carriers of biological *** study investigates utilization of exosomes derived from stromal cells of tumor adjacent normal tissues(NAF-EXs)for personalized medicine,which can be derived at the time of diagnosis by endoscopic ***,we show that exosomes(EXs)derived from NAFs demonstrate differential bio-physical characteristics,efficient cellular internalization,drug loading efficiency,pancreatic tumor targeting and delivery of ***-derived EXs(NAF-EXs)were used for loading ormeloxifene(ORM),a potent anti-cancer and desmoplasia inhibitor as a model *** found that ORM maintains normal fibroblast cell phenotype and renders them incompatible to be triggered for a CAF-like phenotype,which may be due to regulation of Ca^(2+) influx in fibroblast ***-EXs-ORM effectively blocked oncogenic signaling pathways involved in desmoplasia and epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)and repressed tumor growth in xenograft mouse *** conclusion,our data suggests preferential tropism of NAF-EXs for PDAC tumors,thus imply feasibility of developing a novel personalized medicine for PDAC patients using autologous NAF-EXs for improved therapeutic outcome of anti-cancer ***,it provides the opportunity of utilizing this biological scaffold for effective therapeutics in combination with standard therapeutic regimen.

Spatio-temporal succession of iron and manganese microbial community in biological filter layer

This paper studied the structure and dynamic change of microbial communities in bio-reactor for treating ground water which contained high concentration of iron and *** this study,polymerase chain reaction(PCR) denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) was used to evaluate the bacterial *** samples in spatio-temporal of bacterial community suceession in sands were analyzed,and the removal of iron and manganese were *** results showed that a significant change in the community structure was observed during running time and the bio-reactor which designed by ourselves:the removal rate of iron and manganese could achieve 88.93%.The mass of microrganisms was decreasing,and the type of micro-organisms tended to stable with the increase of operating ***,the change of mass and types of micro-organisms in sands was related to *** the depth of filter layer,the mass and types of micro-organisms were gradually ***,pseudomonas were found to be the main microbiology by recycling the band sequencing and phylogenetic *** with time increasing the mass and kind of bacteria were growing from less to more,finally to be stable.

对几种野生花生和栽培花生叶内的超氧物歧化酶(SOD)特性作了比较研究,发现野生种有较高的SOD木平。当用除莠剂paraquat处理两类花生的叶片时,野生种也表现出较强的耐受力。Paraquat处理导致两类花生叶内SOD水平的下降,但野生种内下降的幅度要比栽培种中小得多。用等电聚焦凝胶电泳分析叶中的SOD同工酶后发现,paraquat主要破坏叶绿体SOD(栽培花生叶内SOD活性的主要成分),而对野生花生叶细胞内所含的细胞质SOD及线粒体SOD却没有明显影响,因而野生种花生的抗paraquat特性不仅由于其SOD水平较高,而且也取决于SOD同工酶亚细胞分布的特点。

Dissipation of chlorpyrifos, pendimethalin, and thiophanate-methyl pesticides in compost based-versus peat-moss based-biomixture of biobeds

Biobed is a smart bioremediation system used to treat point-source pesticide *** is the main component of biobeds,and pesticide dissipation is affected by its *** study aimed to compare the effectiveness of compost-based(C)versus peat-moss-based(P)biomixtures of biobeds on tested pesticide *** concentrations(25,50,and 75 mg/kg)of chlorpyrifos,pendimethalin,and thiophanate methyl were added separately and as a mix to both biomixtures C and *** data showed the effect of biomixture type on the dissipation of the tested *** chlorpyrifos,its dissipation rate in biomixture P was more rapid than that in biomixture *** result was confirmed by the mineralization kinetic experiment,since 25%of the initial ^(14)C-chlorpyrifos concentration accumulated in the form ^(14)CO_(2) in biomixture P compared to only 14%in biomixture *** addition,the chlorpyrifos dissipation rate was influenced by the initial concentration when applied individually in biomixture *** contrast,biomixture C was more effective at pendimethalin dissipation than biomixture P,since>76%of pendimethalin was dissipated in biomixture C versus 67%in biomixture P at the same incubation *** thiophanate-methyl,the abilities of both biomixtures C and P were similar and less efficient than those of the other tested *** addition of the three tested pesticides to biomixture C only had a positive effect on both chlorpyrifos and thiophanate-methyl dissipation,while pendimethalin dissipation was similar when applied separately or as a *** activity was stimulated by the addition of separately or mixed pesticides to biomixtures C and P as measured by dehydrogenase activity.

The polysaccharides of three species of Chinese Gracilaria (Rhodophyta) were extracted by sequential solvent extraction and the chemical structures of the fractions obtained were investigated by using 13C-NMR and IR *** 13C-NMR spectra showed that the main extract, cold water fraction, from G. sjeostedtii consisted of repeating disaccharides of agarobiose and (1→3)-β-D-galactopyranosy 1-(1→4)-α-L-galactopyranose 6-sulfate, the latter being a precursor to agarobiose and converted to agarobiose after alkali modification. The component of the 60% ethanol fraction from G. textorii was composed mainly of agarose 6-sulfate, 6-O-methyl-agarose and some amount of agarose, whose structures remained unchanged after alkali treatment. The autoclave extract from G. salicornia revealed a complex structure composed of 6-0-methyl-agarose, 2-0-methyl-agarose, branched 4-0-methyl-L-galactose and agarose 4-sulfate, All the substiluents in these agaroses, were stable against alkali treatment.
