In this paper,O-vanilIin-2-furanthiocarboxyhydrazone(HL)and its copper(Ⅱ),nickel(Ⅱ)and cobalt(Ⅱ)complexes have been synthe-sized and characterized by elemental analysis,electronic and infrared *** results suggest an octahedral geometry for(HL)Cl·2HO and Co(HL)Cl,and a square geometry for Cu(HL)*** biological studies show thatthese compounds all exist antibacterial *** activity order is copper(Ⅱ)complex>nickel(Ⅱ)complex>HL>cobaIt(Ⅱ)complex.

Synthetic hydrogels with attractive mechanical strength and self-healing are particular appealing,in light of their significance and prospects in industrial,engineering and biomimetic *** various mechanically robust and self-healable hydrogels have achieved some successes in using strong covalently bonded organic polymers as building ***,creation of such soft materials entirely building on rigid inorganic components remains greatly challenging,because inorganic materials are usually poorly flexible and *** this study,mechanical robustness and self-recovery are successfully integrated into a single-component colloidal hydrogel system of aluminium hydroxide nanosheets(AHNSs).The inorganic colloidal hydrogel gains an excellent elasticity and stiffness,as indicated by its elastic modulus>10 MPa,due to the use of tough AHNS gelator and the formation of long-range ordered lamellar architectures consisting of self-assembled side-to-side or interlaced-stacking NS *** metastability in internal gel network endows the hydrogel a self-healing efficiency of larger than 100%.The AHNS hydrogel has been demonstrated to be effectively lubricative and *** mechanical,tribological and anticorrosion properties can be optimized by tuning its internal NS configuration and salt *** study may be a potent replenishment to the scope of materials science and may provide new insights into nanotechnology,colloidal chemistry,green tribology and mechanical engineering.

The cerium-modified cubic mobil composition of matters 48 （MCM-48） molecular sieves were synthesized using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide （CTAB） as templates at low molar ratio of surfactant to inorganic precursor. X-ray diffraction （XRD） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM） results show that the well-ordered cubic mesostructure was obtained when the Ce/Si molar ratio is less than 0.05. With the increase of Ce/Si molar ratio, the increase of unit cell parameters and the change of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） provide powerful evidences for the incorporation of cerium in the framework of mesoporous molecular sieves. Nitrogen sorption data indicate that the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller （BET） surface area and the average pore diameter of Ce（Ⅲ）-MCM-48 are 1288 m 2·g -1 and 4.2 nm, and those of Ce（Ⅳ）-MCM-48 are 1228 m 2·g -1 and 3.7 nm, respectively. Diffuse reflectance UV-visible （UV-vis） spectroscopy confirms the presence of Ce（Ⅲ） in the octahedral position and Ce（Ⅳ） in the fluorite structure. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） studies further reveal that Ce（Ⅲ） and Ce（Ⅳ） coexist in the framework of mesoporous molecular sieves.

Primary bile acids were reported to augment secretion of chemokine(C-X-C motif)ligand16(CXCL16)from liver sinusoidal endothelial cells(LSECs)and trigger natural killer T(NKT)cellbased immunotherapy for liver ***,abundant expression of receptors for primary bile acids across the gastrointestinal tract overwhelms the possibility of using agonists against these receptors for liver cancer *** advantage of the intrinsic property of LSECs in capturing circulating nanoparticles in the circulation,we proposed a strategy using nanoemulsion-loaded obeticholic acid(OCA),a clinically approved selective farnesoid X receptor(FXR)agonist,for precisely manipulating LSECs for triggering NKT cell-mediated liver cancer *** OCA-nanoemulsion(OCA-NE)was prepared via ultrasonic emulsification method,with a diameter of 184 nm and good *** vivo biodistribution studies confirmed that the injected OCA-NE mainly accumulated in the liver and especially in LSECs and Kupffer *** a result,OCA-NE treatment significantly suppressed hepatic tumor growth in a murine orthotopic H22 tumor model,which performed much better than oral medication of free *** analysis revealed that the OCA-NE resulted in augmented secretion of CXCL16 and IFN-g,as well as increased NKT cell populations inside the ***,our research provides a new evidence for the antitumor effect of receptors for primary bile acids,and should inspire using nanotechnology for precisely manipulating LSECs for liver cancer therapy.

It was found that the oxovanadium(V) complex of triethanolamine (TEA) exhibits catalytic activity to the oxidative cleavage of catechols. On the other hand. the vanadyl nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) complex is inactive. but leads to the formation of stable ternary complex. The uptake kinetics of platinum(II)complexes of 1,2 -diaminocyclohexane(dach)isomers(1R,2R-dach, 1R,2S-dach. 1S,2S-dach) with various leaving groups, Chloride(CI), oxalate (OX),squaric acid(SA), and demethylcantharic acid (DA) was studied in the plasma isotonic buffer. The experimentalresults show that across-membrane transport of all the platinum complexes studied follows a firstorder Kinetic process and a passive diffustion mechanism. The uptake rate constants of these platinum(II)complexes decrease in the following sequence with the k value(h-1):CI>SA>OX>DA. It isnoteworthy that the k values of the platinum(II)complexes with same leaving group reduce as: 1R,2R-dach>1R,2S-dach>1S,2S-dach. Based on these results, it is firstly suggested that the erythocytemembrane recognizes the chirality of these platinum complexes.
