3D tomographic analysis of equatorial plasma bubble using GNSS-TEC data from Indonesian GNSS Network

Equatorial Plasma Bubbles(EPBs)are ionospheric irregularities that take place near the magnetic *** most commonly occur after sunset during the equinox months,although they can also be observed during other *** phenomenon significantly disrupts radio wave signals essential to communication and navigation *** national network of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)receivers in Indonesia(>30°longitudinal range)provides an opportunity for detailed EPB *** explore this,we conducted preliminary 3D tomography of total electron content(TEC)data captured by GNSS receivers following a geomagnetic storm on December 3,2023,when at least four EPB clusters occurred in the Southeast Asian *** and extracted TEC depletion with a 120-minute running average were then used as inputs for a 3D tomography *** 2D spatial distribution consistently captured the four EPB clusters over *** tomography results were validated through a classical checkerboard test and comparisons with other ionospheric data sources,such as the Global Ionospheric Map(GIM)and International Reference Ionosphere(IRI)*** of the results demonstrates the capability of the Indonesian GNSS network to measure peak ionospheric *** findings highlight the potential for future three-dimensional research of plasma bubbles in low-latitude regions using existing GNSS networks,with extensive longitudinal coverage.

Paederia foetida- a promising ethno-medicinal tribal plant of northeastern India

The northeastern region of India constitutes one of the biodi- versity hotspots of the world. The ethnic groups inhabiting this region practice their distinctive traditional knowledge systems using biodiver- sity for food, shelter and healthcare. Among the less-studied plants, Paederia foetida has been used by various ethnic tribes as food and medicine. Many of its therapeutic properties relate to the gastrointestinal system and suggest its potential utility for gastrointestinal ailments. This is a review of the ethnobotanical uses, phytochemistry and therapeutic properties of P. foetida compiled from various reports. P. foetida is promising as a remedy for life-style related conditions, especially treat- ment of ulcers. Its utility highlights the need for proper evaluation of tribal plants as medicines and the species could be considered for devel- opment of new drugs.

Speed-up for N-FINDR algorithm

N-FINDR is a very popular algorithm of endmember (EM) extraction for its automated property and high efficiency. Unfortunately, innumerable volume calculation, initial random selection of EMs and blind searching for EMs lead to low speed of the algorithm and limit the applications of the algorithm. So in this paper two measures are proposed to speed up the algorithm. One of the measures is substituting distance calculation for volume calculation. Thus the avoidance of volume calculation greatly decreases the computational cost. The other measure is resorting dataset in terms of pixel purity likelihood based on pixel purity index (PPI) concept. Then, initial EMs can be selected well-founded and a fast searching for EMs is achieved. Numerical experiments show that the two measures speed up the original algorithm hundreds of times as the number of EMs is more than ten.

2D spiral pattern recognition based on neural network covering algorithm

Utility-based and fairness-aware radio resource allocation in OFDMA cellular relay networks with traffic prioritization

The combination of orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) with relaying techniques provides plentiful opportunities for high-performance and cost-effective *** requires intelligent radio resource management schemes to harness these *** paper investigates the utility-based resource allocation problem in a real-time and non-real-time traffics mixed OFDMA cellular relay network to exploit the potentiality of *** order to apply utility theory to obtain an efficient tradeoff between throughput and fairness as well as satisfy the delay requirements of real-time traffics,a joint routing and scheduling scheme is proposed to resolve the resource allocation ***,a low-complexity iterative algorithm is introduced to realize the *** numerical results indicate that besides meeting the delay requirements of real-time traffic,the scheme can achieve the tradeoff between throughput and fairness effectively.

Design of acquisition algorithm based on delay-finding detector for indoor GNSS signals

A delay-finding detector is proposed to enhance acquisition sensitivity for indoor GNSS signals. Traditionally, the over-threshold detector on amplitude or peak-to-mean ratio is employed for signal acquisition. Instead, the proposed detector exploits peak positions of successive multiple detections covering a full range of code phase offset to refine the detection performance. Due to each peak position corresponding to an optimal estimate of current code delay, the new detector is named delay-finding detector. On the other hand, a pre-detection processing involved in delay-finding detector aims at confronting the indoor multipath effects. A time domain filter is applied to combine the power of inner-chip multipath components. In addition, a self-adaptive method for dynamically adjusting integration time is designed to further enhance acquisition efficiency in the whole algorithm. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is capable of acquiring the signal when the Carrier-to-Noise Ratio is as low as 22 dB-Hz, fixing the residual Doppler offset at the worst situation. It is capable of increasing detection probability significantly for two-path channel.

Tracking of human head with particle filter

To cope with the problem of tracking a human head in a complicated scene,we propose a method that adopts human skin color and hair color integrated with a kind of particle filter named condensation ***,a novel method is presented to set up human head color model using skin color and hair color separately based on region *** with traditional human face model,this method is more precise and works well when human turns around and the face disappears in the *** a novel method is presented to use color model in condensation algorithm more *** this method,a combination of edge detection result,color segmentation result and color edge detection result in an Omega window is used to measure the scale and position of human head in *** show that this approach can track human head in complicated scene even when human turns around or the distance of tracking a human head changes quickly.

A new frequency domain search strategy in high sensitivity GPS signal acquisition circuit designing

The contradiction between the sensitivity and the frequency domain searching speed of GPS signal acquisition circuit has been discussed for a long time. The signal integration operation which enhances the sensitivity of the system also makes the frequency slots narrower, which affects the speed of the system. In this research a high sensitivity GPS signal acquisition circuit is implemented with a new frequency domain search strategy. The new strategy combines DDS sweep strategy with cyclic shifting sweep strategy which makes the TTFF (time to first fix) reduced evidently. The extra hardware resource cost of the new strategy is acceptable. The speed advantage of the new frequency domain search strategy has been verified by hardware comparison tests.

Aimed at the difficulty in finding an efficient method to depress and recognize chaff in both time and frequency domain,this paper tries to recognize chaff and target such as warship in polarization domain under the theoretical analysis of the polarization scattering cross section of *** order to find target more exactly,non-linear polarization transformation and polarization smoothness are applied to process the polarization information of chaff and ship *** resulting recognition is proved to be effective by simulation.

In this paper,three tuning methods of the integer order proportional integral derivative(IOPID)controller,the fuzzy proportional integral derivative(FPID)controller and the fractional order proportional integral derivative(FOPID)controller for high order system are presented *** IOPID controller and FOPID controller designed by the two tuning methods can satisfy all the three specifications proposed,which can guarantee the desired control performance and the robustness of the high order system to the loop gain *** the simulation results,the three controllers meet the dynamic performance requirements of high order ***,the FOPID controller,with the shortest overshoot and adjustment time,outperforms the IOPID controller and the FPID controller for the high order system.
