This paper first presents the sensor data processing framework integrating a power consumption scheduler for control actions, and then analyzes the available power for background tasks which are continuously performed using the remaining power. As the scheduler is designed to reduce the peak load for the given task set, it can make flatter the consumption level of dynamic tasks activated by the event detection. The experiment result obtained from the prototype implementation reveals that the proposed scheme can improve the minimum available power by up to 17.9 %, compared with the Earliest scheduling scheme, having a smaller standard deviation over the slots included in a scheduling window. Hence, our framework can achieve cost savings as the sensor network can purchase a smaller amount of energy from a utility company and can be built with lower power transmission capability.

The transfer alignment problem of the shipborne weapon inertial navigation system （INS） is addressed. Specifically, two transfer alignment algorithms subjected to the ship motions induced by the waves are discussed. To consider the limited maneuver level performed by the ship, a new filter algorithm for transfer alignment methods using velocity and angular rate matching is first derived. And then an improved method using integrated velocity and integrated angular rate matching is introduced to reduce the effect of the ship body flexure. The simulation results show the feasibility and validity of the proposed transfer alignment algorithms.

Web service choreography has two points of view, public and local. The observable behavior of collaborating services to obtain the common goal based on WS-CDL language is called public choreography. The behavior of each participant services in the form of UML state machines to participate in collaboration is called local choreography .This paper proposes a mapping mechanism of WS-CDL （public view） to generate partner’s UML state machines （local view）.

＜正＞Hilbert-Huang Transform（HHT） is a typical realization of the Local Wave Analysis（LWA） and especially powerful for analysis of nonlinear and non-stationary signal.In this paper,from the view of filter,the principle of HHT will be studied and a smoothing filter theory will be put forward for explaining Empirical Mode Decomposition（EMD）. And because Intrinsic Mode Functions（IMFs） by EMD and the time-frequency-energy distribution by Hilbert Transform（HT） can reflect the inherent essential characteristics of time series,based on HHT, a new method is obtained about change-point detection of time series.Experiments test the validity of the proposed method.

ZnS/ZnSe stratified grating wave filter fabricated by using vacuum coating technique on BK7 glass waveguide is reported.At room temperature optical controlling modulation switch of the grating wave filter has been realized by means of prism coupling with waveguide under Ar laser pulse.The origin of the optical nonlinearity is attributed to band filling caused by the nonlinear absorption of the material and reflection occured among the multilayer films.

The most important problem in targets tracking is data association which may be represented as a sort of constraint combinational optimization problem. Chaos optimization and adaptive genetic algorithm were used to deal with the problem of multi-targets data association separately. Based on the analysis of the limitation of chaos optimization and genetic algorithm, a new chaos genetic optimization combination algorithm was presented. This new algorithm first applied the "rough" search of chaos optimization to initialize the population of GA, then optimized the population by real-coded adaptive GA. In this way, GA can not only jump out of the "trap" of local optimal results easily but also increase the rate of convergence. And the new method can also avoid the complexity and time-consumed limitation of conventional way. The simulation results show that the combination algorithm can obtain higher correct association percent and the effect of association is obviously superior to chaos optimization or genetic algorithm separately. This method has better convergence property as well as time property than the conventional ones.

Particle filter initialization in non-linear non-Gaussian radar target tracking

When particle filter is applied in radar target tracking, the accuracy of the initial particles greatly effects the results of filtering. For acquiring more accurate initial particles, a new method called “competition strategy algorithm” is presented. In this method, initial measurements give birth to several particle groups around them, regularly. Each of the groups is tested several times, separately, in the beginning periods, and the group that has the most number of efficient particles is selected as the initial particles. For this method, sample initial particles selected are on the basis of several measurements instead of only one first measurement, which surely improves the accuracy of initial particles. The method sacrifices initialization time and computation cost for accuracy of initial particles. Results of simulation show that it greatly improves the accuracy of initial particles, which makes the effect of filtering much better.

The Duke storage ring is a dedicated driver for the storage ring based oscillator free-electron lasers（FELs）, and the High Intensity Gamma-ray Source（HIGS）. It is operated with a beam current ranging from about1 mA to 100 mA per bunch for various operations and accelerator physics studies. High performance operations of the FEL and γ-ray source require a stable electron beam orbit, which has been realized by the global orbit feedback system. As a critical part of the orbit feedback system, the electron beam position monitors（BPMs） are required to be able to precisely measure the electron beam orbit in a wide range of the single-bunch current. However, the high peak voltage of the BPM pickups associated with high single-bunch current degrades the performance of the BPM electronics, and can potentially damage the BPM electronics. A signal conditioning method using low pass filters is developed to reduce the peak voltage to protect the BPM electronics, and to make the BPMs capable of working with a wide range of single-bunch current. Simulations and electron beam based tests are performed. The results show that the Duke storage ring BPM system is capable of providing precise orbit measurements to ensure highly stable FEL and HIGS operations.
