A Distributed Authentication Algorithm Based on GQ Signature for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

Identity authentication plays an important role in ad hoc networks as a part of the secure mechanism. On the basis of GQ signature scheme, a new GQ threshold group signature scheme was presented, by which a novel distributed algorithm was proposed to achieve the multi-hop authentication for mobile ad hoc networks. In addition, a protocol verifying the identity with zero knowledge proofs was designed so that the reuse of certificates comes into truth. Moreover, the security of this algorithm was proved through the random oracle model. With the lower cost of computation and communication, this algorithm is efficient, secure and especially suitable for mobile ad hoc networks characterized by distributed computing, dynamic topology and multi-hop communications.

The northeastern region of India constitutes one of the biodi- versity hotspots of the world. The ethnic groups inhabiting this region practice their distinctive traditional knowledge systems using biodiver- sity for food, shelter and healthcare. Among the less-studied plants, Paederia foetida has been used by various ethnic tribes as food and medicine. Many of its therapeutic properties relate to the gastrointestinal system and suggest its potential utility for gastrointestinal ailments. This is a review of the ethnobotanical uses, phytochemistry and therapeutic properties of P. foetida compiled from various reports. P. foetida is promising as a remedy for life-style related conditions, especially treat- ment of ulcers. Its utility highlights the need for proper evaluation of tribal plants as medicines and the species could be considered for devel- opment of new drugs.

In order to provide some reference for the design of the power/ground system, a complicated power/ground system in time and frequency domains was analyzed, which is based on PEEC (Partial Element Equivalent Circuit). According to the actual requirements, characteristics of some common power/ground structures in time and frequency domains, such as SSN (Simultaneous Switching Noise), are obtained for the future research. The results show the first resonance point is changed with the structure of the power/ground networks.

Piecewise Linear Analysis for Pseudo-elasticity of Shape Memory Alloy (SMA)

Based on the Brinson constitutive model of SMA, a piecewise linear model for the hysteresis loop of pseudo-elasticity is proposed and applied in the analysis of responses of an SMA-spring-mass system under initial velocity activation. The histories of displacement and velocity of the mass, and the response of stress of SMA are calculated with Brinson’s model and the piecewise linear model. The difference of results of the two models is not significant. The calculation with piecewise-linear model needs no iteration and is highly efficient.

In this study, Inconel 738 alloy was diffusion bonded to a ferritic stainless steel. The effect of bonding temperature on the microstructural development across the joint region was investigated. Following the diffusion bonding, conventional characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, energy dispersive X-ray （EDX） and microhardness were used to examine the interracial microstructure. It was seen that bonding temperature was effective on the diffusion of Ni from Inconel 738 to ferritic stainless steel that affected the microstructure of the interface. Austenite phase was formed at the interface as a result of Ni diffusion from the Inconel 738 to the interface.

The interaction between multiple curved rigid line and circular inclusion in antiplane loading condition is considered in this paper. By utilizing the point force elementary solutions and taking density function of traction difference along curved rigid lines, a group of weakly singular integral equations with logarithmic kernels can be obtained. After the numerical solution of the integral equations, the discrete values of density functions of traction difference are obtainable. So the stress singularity coefficient at rigid line tips can be calculated, and two numerical examples are given.

The wave energy resource around the coasts of Taiwan is investigated with wave buoy data covering a 3-year period （2007-2009）. Eleven study sites within the region bounded by the 21.5^°N-25.5°N latitudes and 118°E-122°E longitudes are selected for analysis. The monthly moving-average filter is used to obtain the low-frequency trend based on the available hourly data. After quantifying the wave power and annual wave energy, the substantial resource is the result of Penghu buoy station, which is at the northeastern side of Penghu Island in the Taiwan Strait. it is investigated that the Penghu sea area is determined to be the optimal place for wave energy production according to its abundant resource of northeasterly monsoon waves, sheltering of the Taiwan Island, operation and maintenance in terms of seasonal conditions, and constructability of wave power devices.

This paper presented a scheme of relayed cellular mobile telecommunication network,which only employs fixed digital relays and not more than two-hop relay *** saving potential of the network is deeply studied under the assumption of not occupying additional frequency bands(*** share the same frequency bands as used by the base stations).Theoretical analysis and simulation results have both shown that,with the same radio coverage requirement,the necessary effective transmission powers in such a relayed network have greatly decreased compared to conventional cellular network.
