The applications of commercial computer program set "SPLEN-O" based on finite elements method (FEM) for the simulation of superplastic forming (SPF) technology of shells are described. The changes in characteristics of ultrafine-grained (UFG) structure during deformation are taken into account in function of viscosity and solving algorithm. Some examples are shown to illustrate the possibilities of FEM simulation for prediction of numerical grain-size data on different SPF stages of shells.

Synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging is an efficient strategy which exploits the properties of microwaves to capture images. A major concern in SAR imaging is the reconstruction of image from back scattered signals in the presence of noise. The reflected signal consist of more noise than the target signal and it is a challenging problem to reduce the noise in the collected signal for better reconstruction of an image. Current studies mostly focus on filtering techniques for noise removal. This can result in an undesirable point spread function causing extreme smearing effect in the desired image. In order to handle this problem, a computational technique, particle swarm optimization(PSO) is used for de-noising purpose and later the target performance is further improved by an amalgamation of Wiener filter.Moreover, to improve the de-noising performance we have exploited the singular value decomposition based morphological filtering. To justify the proposed improvements we have simulated the proposed techniques and results are compared with the conventional existing models. The proposed method revealed considerable decrease in mean square error compared to Wiener filter and PSO techniques. Quantitative analysis of image restoration quality are also presented in comparison with Wiener filter and PSO based on the improvement in signal to noise ratio and peak signal to noise ratio.

In current days,the domain of Internet of Things(IoT)and Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)are combined for enhancing the sensor related data transmission in the forthcoming networking applications.Clustering and routing techniques are treated as the effective methods highly used to attain reduced energy consumption and lengthen the lifetime of the WSN assisted IoT networks.In this view,this paper presents an Ensemble of Metaheuristic Optimization based QoS aware Clustering with Multihop Routing(EMOQoSCMR)Protocol for IoT assisted WSN.The proposed EMO-QoSCMR protocol aims to achieve QoS parameters such as energy,throughput,delay,and lifetime.The proposed model involves two stage processes namely clustering and routing.Firstly,the EMO-QoSCMR protocol involves crossentropy rain optimization algorithm based clustering(CEROAC)technique to select an optimal set of cluster heads(CHs)and construct clusters.Besides,oppositional chaos game optimization based routing(OCGOR)technique is employed for the optimal set of routes in the IoT assisted WSN.The proposed model derives a fitness function based on the parameters involved in the IoT nodes such as residual energy,distance to sink node,etc.The proposed EMOQoSCMR technique has resulted to an enhanced NAN of 64 nodes whereas the LEACH,PSO-ECHS,E-OEERP,and iCSHS methods have resulted in a lesser NAN of 2,10,42,and 51 rounds.The performance of the presented protocol has been evaluated interms of energy efficiency and network lifetime.

The formation of lithium dendrites and the safety hazards arising from flammable liquid electrolytes have seriously hindered the development of high-energy-density lithium metal batteries.Herein,an emerging amide-based electrolyte is proposed,containing LiTFSI and butyrolactam in different molar ratios.1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropylether and fluoroethylene carbonate are introduced into the amide-based electrolyte as counter solvent and additives.The well-designed amide-based electrolyte possesses nonflammability,high ionic conductivity,high thermal stability and electrochemical stability(>4.7 V).Besides,an inorganic/organic-rich solid electrolyte interphase with an abundance of LiF,Li3N and Li-N-C is in situ formed,leading to spherical lithium deposition.The formation mechanism and solvation chemistry of amide-based electrolyte are further inves-tigated by molecular dynamics simulations and density functional theory.When applied in Li metal batteries with LiFePO4 and LiMn2O4 cathode,the amide-based electrolyte can enable stable cycling performance at room temperature and 60℃.This study provides a new insight into the development of amide-based electrolytes for lithium metal batteries.

In this paper,we propose a specific two-layer model consisting of a functionally graded(FG)layer and a piezoelectric semiconductor(PS)layer.Based on the macroscopic theory of PS materials,the effects brought about by the attached FG layer on the piezotronic behaviors of homogeneous n-type PS fibers and PN junctions are investigated.The semi-analytical solutions of the electromechanical fields are obtained by expanding the displacement and carrier concentration variation into power series.Results show that the antisymmetry of the potential and electron concentration distributions in homogeneous n-type PS fibers is destroyed due to the material inhomogeneity of the attached FG layer.In addition,by creating jump discontinuities in the material properties of the FG layer,potential barriers/wells can be produced in the middle of the fiber.Similarly,the potential barrier configuration near the interface of a homogeneous PS PN junction can also be manipulated in this way,which offers a new choice for the design of PN junction based devices.

Epsilon-near-zero(ENZ) materials exhibit great potentials in the practical applications of sensors,electronic skin,and wearable devices,when they own the properties of flexibility and compression.In this work,the silver nanorods(AgNRs)/carbon fiber felt(CFF) composites with ENZ property from 1 kHz to 1 MHz were achieved by adjusting the content of AgNRs and the compressed elastic deformation.

Recently,big data becomes evitable due to massive increase in the generation of data in real time application.Presently,object detection and tracking applications becomes popular among research communities and finds useful in different applications namely vehicle navigation,augmented reality,surveillance,etc.This paper introduces an effective deep learning based object tracker using Automated Image Annotation with Inception v2 based Faster RCNN(AIA-IFRCNN)model in big data environment.The AIA-IFRCNN model annotates the images by Discriminative Correlation Filter(DCF)with Channel and Spatial Reliability tracker(CSR),named DCF-CSRT model.The AIA-IFRCNN technique employs Faster RCNN for object detection and tracking,which comprises region proposal network(RPN)and Fast R-CNN.In addition,inception v2 model is applied as a shared convolution neural network(CNN)to generate the feature map.Lastly,softmax layer is applied to perform classification task.The effectiveness of the AIA-IFRCNN method undergoes experimentation against a benchmark dataset and the results are assessed under diverse aspects with maximum detection accuracy of 97.77%.

Financial crisis prediction(FCP)models are used for predicting or forecasting the financial status of a company or financial firm.It is considered a challenging issue in the financial sector.Statistical and machine learning(ML)models can be employed for the design of accurate FCP models.Though numerous works have existed in the literature,it is needed to design effective FCP models adaptable to different datasets.This study designs a new bird swarm algorithm(BSA)with fuzzy min-max neural network(FMM-NN)model,named BSA-FMMNN for FCP.The major intention of the BSA-FMMNN model is to determine the financial status of a firm or company.The presented BSA-FMMNN model primarily undergoes minmax normalization to transform the data into uniformity range.Besides,k-medoid clustering approach is employed for the outlier removal process.Finally,the classification process is carried out using the FMMNN model,and the parameters involved in it are tuned by the use of BSA.The utilization of proficient parameter selection process using BSA demonstrate the novelty of the study.The experimental result analysis of the BSA-FMMNN model is validated using benchmark dataset and the comparative outcomes highlighted the supremacy of the BSA-FMMNN model over the recent approaches.

The authors present an analysis of different charge transfer modes during upward negative flashes.The analysis includes a total number of 94 pulses that occurred during two upward negative flashes recorded at the Säntis Tower.The pulses included 59 mixed-mode(MM)initial continuous current(ICC)pulses,17 M-component-type ICC(M-ICC)pulses,8 returnstroke pulses,and 10 classical M-component(MC)pulses.It is found that the initial stage of the flash is responsible for the largest share of the total charge transferred to the ground.Simulation results for the electric fields associated with the considered charge transfer modes are presented and discussed.Return stroke(RS)and MM pulses were simulated adopting the MTLE model,while MCs and M-ICC pulses were simulated using the guided wave model of Rakov et al.The simulated results are shown to be in good agreement with simultaneous records of electric fields measured at a distance of 15 km from the Säntis Tower.The inferred velocities for MCs and M-ICC pulses range from 2.0×10^(7) to 9.0×10^(7) m/s,and the corresponding junction point heights range from 1.0 to 2.0 km.The inferred pulse velocities for RSs and MM pulses range from 1.3×10^(8) to 1.65×10^(8) m/s.The inferred current attenuation constants of the MTLE model obtained in this study range from 0.3 to 0.8 km,lower than the value of 2 km previously suggested for RSs in downward flashes.The obtained results support the assumption that the mode of charge transfer to the ground giving rise to MM pulses is similar to that of RSs.The results are also in support of the generally assumed similarity between M-ICC pulses and classical MCs.
