We injected a 0.67%solution of Adriamycin into trigeminal branches of white mice,checked the influence of severed or unsevered trigeminal branches on Adriamycin transported by retrograde flow,compared the rates of abnormal ganglioneure between the severed trigeminal branch group and the unsevered one, and round similar results between the two *** finding suggests that a severed trigeminal branch can not stop Adriamycin transported by retrograde axoplasmic flow in medial *** gives some experimental basis for expanding trigeminal neuralgia treatment with Adriamycin.

The Mishrif Formation(Cenomanian-E Turonian)is one of the most important geological formations in the Middle East and Iraq because it contains enormous petroleum *** is considered to be the first reservoir in the region,and is still being studied because of its economic *** carbonate of the Mishrif Formation derives from a variety of depositional settings,including mid-ramp,shoal,lagoon,and *** five main microfacies discussed in this paper are wackestone,packstone,grainstone,floatstone,and *** most frequent fossilised components found in the Mishrif Formation are rudists,benthic foraminifera,echinoderms,burrows molluscs,and *** to the microfacies and analysed wireline log data,the sequence stratigraphy of the studied formation is composed of two regression *** parasequences of transgressive-regressive cycles make up the depositional sequence of the Mishrif *** standard depositional environments seem to demonstrate a gradual regression,beginning with a short period of the outer ramp,then a steady period of the mid-ramp,and ending in the intertidal ***,the study recorded two regional maximum flooding surfaces:K-135 and *** former is present in the lowermost part of the formation,while the other lies in the *** study shows a close relationship between facies(environments)and hydrocarbon *** increased accumulation focuses on the lower part of the studied formation,and seems to be lower in the upper part of the formation as a result of changes in the environment of deposition.

Objective: The method of bone lengthening by distraction of callus was used on dog mandible as a model to study the capability and changes of membranous bone during distraction osteogenesis. Methods: 15 dogs aged 5~7 months were chosen as the subjects. The operation included a unilateral or bilateral periosteal preserving corticotomy of mandibular bone, and an intraoral mini lengthening device were fixed to the buccal side of the mandible. After 7d, the mandible was lengthened 1mm/d for 20d and then held in internal fixation for 7~140d (1~20 weeks). Results: The dogs were killed at 3 times. Anthropometric measurements, X-ray examination and histological observation were conducted and conformed that the distracted bone had formed in the expanded zone successfully. Conclusion: The results suggested that we could use the DO technique in the area of craniofacial clinic. The strong ability of generating new bone in membranous skeleton by DO technique should be further demonstrated in the future.

As a key mediator of normal physiological angiogenesis, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) has been regarded as an emancipator to plastic surgeon, and yet a misfortune to oncology surgeon, due to its singular biological effect. Therefore in some clinical cases, especially for some malignant tumor patients having endured radical surgery and being craving for a reconstructive surgery, VEGF plays a role full of paradoxes. To make a clinical balance, we should find a point to inhibit tumor cell from utilizing VEGF and make a permission to normal tissues to employ it.

The significant demand for high quality food has motivated us to adopt appropriate processing methods to improve the food nutritional quality and *** this study,the effects of five drying methods,namely,pulsed vacuum drying(PVD),freeze drying(FD),infrared drying(IRD),hot-air drying(HAD)and sun drying(SD)on free amino acids(FAAs),α-dicarbonyl compounds(α-DCs)and volatile compounds(VOCs)in rape bee pollen(RBP)were *** results showed that FD significantly released the essential amino acids(EAAs)compared with fresh samples while SD caused the highest *** was the dominantα-DCs in RBP and the highest loss was observed after *** were the dominant volatiles of RBP and SD samples contained more new volatile substances(especially aldehydes)than the other four drying ***,FD and PVD would be potential methods to effectively reduce the quality deterioration of RBP in the drying process.

The paper reviews previous publications and reports some comments about a semi empirical model of the growth and decay process of a planktonic microbial culture. After summarizing and reshaping some fundamental mathematical expressions, the paper highlights the reasons for the choice of a suitable time origin that makes the parameters of the model self-consistent. Besides the potential applications to predictive microbiology studies and to effects of bactericidal drugs, the model allows a suitable proxy of the fitness of the microbial culture, which can be of interest for the studies on the evolution across some thousand generations of a Long Term Evolution Experiment.

Malignant pleomorphic adenoma (MPA) of tongue base, with bilateral cervical lymph node metastasis, was exceedingly rare。We offered a case of MPA in a 66-year-old man, which may represent the first report of this neoplasm arising in the tongue base with bilateral cervical lymph node metastasis。The clinicopathological features were analyzed and the literatures were reviewed。The main complain of the case was tumor in the right lateral upper neck, no pain。The tumor of tongue base was found by nasopharyngoendoscope examination。Biopsy showed the tumor of tongue base was squamous cell carcinoma。Extensive resection of tongue base tumor and bilateral radical neck dissection were taken。Pathology postoperative showed the original site was MPA with carcinoma embolus in lymph-vessel。Cervical lymph node metastasis was observed in 18 lymph nodes located in levelⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲof left and right neck respectively。surgery was the main treatment method and postoperative radiotherapy was used。Local recurrence, regional lymph node metastases and distant metastases did not occur in one year follow-up。

Total and even partial glossectomy could be a major event in the life of a patient. Tongue function is so complicated which makes maintaining normal functions of the tongue such as swallowing and speech and preserving larynx integrity after the surgery is a primary objective of the surgeon. This task is very difficult and the result is not predictable. Recent years, however, there has been interesting developments in microsurgical techniques, and these advancements enable oral and maxillofacial surgeons to achieve better results and improve the quality of their patient′s life. The results even with use of the new technology are still far from perfect. Several reasons may cause variation in the result. Some of them have to do with the patient such as general health and other reasons are due to the method that is used and nature of the defect after the removal of the tumor. This article was undertaken to summarize the various methods and techniques used over the years to restore oral tongue functions after defects.

A study on the classification of regional draining lymph node in oral cancer

The death cause of patients with oral cancer after treatment can be cancer related and non-cancer related。Cancer related death cause could be primary recurrence, cervical lymph node metastasis, distant organ metastasis or all possession。The rough proportion of cancer related death cause of patients with oral cancer is: primary recurrence 60%-80%, regional lymph node metastasis 20%-35% and distant organ metastasis 5%-15%。The first treatmem target of patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors who do not find clear distant organ metastasis is primary and regional draining lymph nodes。Therapy on distant organ is usually carried out after the diagnosis is confirmed。The patients with oral cancer after treatment dying of cervical lymph node metastasis are about 20%-35% of cancer related death。The correct evaluation on cervical lymph nodes and drawing proper treatment is importance in treatment。oral cancer staging refers to TNM classification of UICC as a reference in China。However, there are some limitations in N classification of TNM: 1。the classification of lymph nodes micro-metastasis in not reflected。The micro-metastasis is about 20%-40% of cervical lymph node metastasis。The micro- metastasis classification is not reflected in the standard, which causes that doctors are insufficient understanding of the importance of micro-metastasis treatment and the recurrence rate is raised。Currently, the standard of CT, MRI, color ultrasonic, PET and PET/CT in diagnosing lymph node metastasis of oral cancer is basically the diagnosis standard of dominant metastasis。The common mistake in treatment of cervical lymph node micro-metastasis is that patients with oral cancer undergo resection alone of primary lesion or low grade neck dissection without any closely followed-up and reexamination。So the lymph node cancer cells can not be detected in time before they amplify to the outside of capsule and undergo some effective treatments。Among the patients who are found cervical l
