Evaluation of reclamation land productivity in mining districts

In order to evaluate the productivity of reclamation lands in mining districts, field investigation and spatial information technique were adopted to investigate influence factors of land. Based on the collected data of each land, membership grade of each factor was obtained based on Fuzzy logic, and combined weight of each factor was got by analytica1 hierarch process and Delphi method. According to membership grades and combined weights of all factors, integrated fertility index (IFI) of every land was calculated to reflect levels of the productivity of reclamation lands in mining districts. Experimental results show that spatial information technique is an efficient method in field data collection, while lack of evaluation data. By means of quantificational analysis of this method, IFI is appropriate to describe the productive capacity level of reclamation lands.

Understanding the dynamics of surface water area and their drivers is crucial for human survival and ecosystem stability in inland arid and semi-arid *** study took Gansu Province,China,a typical area with complex terrain and variable climate,as the research *** on Google Earth Engine,we used landsat data and the Open-surface Water Detection Method with Enhanced Impurity Control method to monitor the spatiotemporal dynamics of surface water area in Gansu Province from 1985 to 2022,and quantitatively analyzed the main causes of regional differences in surface water *** findings revealed that surface water area in Gansu Province expanded by 406.88 km2 from 1985 to *** surface water area exhibited significant fluctuations,while permanent surface water area showed a steady ***,terrestrial water storage exhibited a trend of first decreasing and then increasing,correlated with the dynamics of surface water *** change and human activities jointly affected surface hydrological processes,with the impact of climate change being slightly higher than that of human ***,climate change affected the'source'of surface water to a greater extent,while human activities tended to affect the'destination'of surface *** of surface water resources faced by inland arid and semi-arid areas like Gansu Province are ***,we summarized the surface hydrology patterns typical in inland arid and semi-arid areas and tailored surface water'supply-demand'balance *** study not only sheds light on the dynamics of surface water area in Gansu Province,but also offers valuable insights for ecological protection and surface water resource management in inland arid and semi-arid areas facing water scarcity.

Regulation effects of water and nitrogen on yield,water,and nitrogen use efficiency of wolfberry

Wolfberry(Lycium barbarum L.)is important for health care and ecological ***,it faces problems of low productivity and resource utilization during *** reasonable models for water and nitrogen management is important for solving these *** on field trials in 2021 and 2022,this study analyzed the effects of controlling soil water and nitrogen application levels on wolfberry height,stem diameter,crown width,yield,and water(WUE)and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE).The upper and lower limits of soil water were controlled by the percentage of soil water content to field water capacity(θ_(f)),and four water levels,i.e.,adequate irrigation(W0,75%-85%θ_(f)),mild water deficit(W1,65%-75%θ_(f)),moderate water deficit(W2,55%-65%θ_(f)),and severe water deficit(W3,45%-55%θ_(f))were used,and three nitrogen application levels,i.e.,no nitrogen(N0,0 kg/hm^(2)),low nitrogen(N1,150 kg/hm^(2)),medium nitrogen(N2,300 kg/hm^(2)),and high nitrogen(N3,450 kg/hm^(2))were *** results showed that irrigation and nitrogen application significantly affected plant height,stem diameter,and crown width of wolfberry at different growth stages(P<0.01),and their maximum values were observed in W1N2,W0N2,and W1N3 *** weight per plant and yield of wolfberry first increased and then decreased with increasing nitrogen application under the same water *** weight per hundred grains and dry weight percentage increased with increasing nitrogen application under W0 ***,under other water treatments,the values first increased and then decreased with increasing nitrogen *** and its component of wolfberry first increased and then decreased as water deficit increased under the same nitrogen *** water use efficiency(IWUE,8.46 kg/(hm^(2)·mm)),WUE(6.83 kg/(hm^(2)·mm)),partial factor productivity of nitrogen(PFPN,2.56 kg/kg),and NUE(14.29 kg/kg)reached their highest values in W2N2,W1N2,W1N2,and W1N1 treatments.R

Solvent extraction and separation of light rare earths from chloride media using HDEHP-P350 system

Solvent extraction is the most important method for rare earth extraction and ***,di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid(HDEHP)and 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester(HEH/EHP)are widely used in industrial production,but there are still obvious deficiencies that require further research to *** this paper,the unsaponification extraction of light rare earth ions in a hydrochloric acid medium by di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid-di(1-methyl-heptyl)methyl phosphonate(HDEHPP350)system was *** results show that the addition of P350 reduces the extraction capacity of HDEHP,and also greatly reduces the concentration of acidity required for the *** still has a good separation factor for light rare earths without saponification,and the extractant is not easy to *** an aqueous phase of pH=2.85,and HDEHP mole fraction XHDEHP=0.9(compared with O/A=2),the separation effect of light rare earth is the best,resulting in the separation coefficientβCe/La=3.39,βPr/Ce=1.67 andβNd/Pr=1.45,*** loaded light rare earth ions extracted by HDEHP-P350 can be easily stripped when 2 mol/L HCl is used as the stripping ***,the extraction mechanism is discussed using a slope method,and the final structure of the extracted complex is determined to be RECl[(DEHP)_(2)]_(2)P350_((o)),based on a combination of infrared spectra and 1 H NMR and 31P NMR analyses.

The recurrent extreme El Niño events are commonly linked to reduced vegetation growth and the land carbon sink over many but discrete regions of the Northern Hemisphere(NH).However,we reported here a pervasive and continuous vegetation greening and no weakened land carbon sink in the maturation phase of the 2015/2016 El Niño event over the NH(mainly in the extra-tropics),based on multiple evidences from remote sensing observations,global ecosystem model simulations and atmospheric CO_(2)*** discovered a significant compensation effect of the enhanced vegetation growth in spring on subsequent summer/autumn vegetation growth that sustained vegetation greening and led to a slight increase in the land carbon sink over the spring and summer of 2015(average increases of 23.34%and 0.63%in net ecosystem exchange from two independent datasets relative to a 5-years average before the El Niño event,respectively)and spring of 2016(6.82%),especially in the extra-tropics of the NH,where the water supply during the pre-growing-season(November of the previous year to March of the current year)had a positive *** seasonal compensation effect was much stronger than that in 1997 and 1998 and significantly alleviated the adverse impacts of the 2015/2016 El Niño event on vegetation growth during its maturation *** legacy effect of water supply during the pre-growing-season on subsequent vegetation growth lasted up to approximately six *** findings highlight the role of seasonal compensation effects on mediating the land carbon sink in response to episodic extreme El Niño events.

Algorithm of symbol generation and configuration of land polygons in present land-use map

The symbolization of land polygon is an important part of cartography. In the mapping of traditional present land-use maps, the symbol of land polygons was usually filled by the method of filling or plotting, but these methods can't solve the spatial conflicts of the symbol. According to the principle of cartography, the rule of how to symbolize the land polygon was summarized, and a new method that can generate and deploy the land symbols was presented. By making use of C# programming language and Arc Engine developing components, the algorithm can generate land symbols presenting triangle and adjust the coordinate of the symbol. Through mapping the present land-use map of Honghe county, this algorithm can reduce 88.84% of the spatial conflicts error rate compared with the traditional methods. It improves the accuracy and efficiency of the map symbolic.

Maximizing the development of renewable energy plays a critical role in mitigating the climate *** land provides space for the development of biomass energy;however,it remains unclear how the amount and spatial distribution of marginal land that is suitable for energy crop development will change in the ***,we project energy marginal land changes in China following the shared socioeconomic pathway(SSP)and/or repre-sentative concentration path(RCP).We provide datasets of mar-ginal land,agriculturally suitable land,and potentially suitable for energy crops under historical scenarios and six future scenarios(***1-1.9,SSP1-2.6,SSP4-3.4,SSP2-4.5,SSP4-6.0,and SSP3-7.0)for the period 2020-2100,with a spatial resolution of 5 *** the six scenarios,from 2020-2100,the area of suitable marginal land ranged from 1.90-16.28(Jatropha curcas L.)to 37.37-73.97(Panicum virgatum L.)(×10^(4)km^(2)),depending on the choice of energy crops and climate *** on the growing suitability of eight important bioenergy crops-Ricinus communis L.,Saccharum officinarum L.,Pistacia chinensis Bunge,Panicum virga-tum L.,Jatropha curcas L.,Miscanthus giganteus J.,Manihot esculenta Crantz,and Sorghum bicolor Moench-our dataset can be used to identify suitable locations for specific energy *** new syn-thetic dataset could support the development of multiscenariobased solutions related to carbon neutrality,ecosystem services,and energy transition.

Cenozoic Uplift of the Central Yunnan Fragment, Southwestern China, Revealed by Apatite(U-Th)/He Dating

The age of central Yunnan fragment uplift has long been debated, with estimates ranging from the Late Eocene to about 1 Ma. To determine the central Yunnan fragment uplift time in the Cenozoic, apatite(U-Th)/He(AHe) was used to analyze the low-temperature thermochronology of samples from the Jiaozi Mountain area of the eastern central Yunnan fragment. The sampling area is located in the Dongchuan District of Kunming, Yunnan Province, near the Xiaojiang fault zone. The results show that AHe ages from the eastern part of central Yunnan fragment were mainly concentrated around 25.7–37.9 Ma, and intensive uplift had happened before 36.5 Ma. Together with previous low-temperature thermochronology research on the western and eastern central Yunnan fragment, we concluded that the Yunnan Plateau uplifted prior to 36.5 Ma, in a west to east sequence. The uplift caused a change in paleo-geographical terrain, which may have altered the ancient river systems of the southeast Tibetan Plateau.

Existence and release of fluid inclusions in bornite and its associated quartz and calcite

The existence and release of fluid inclusions in bornite and its associated minerals, namely, quartz and calcite were investigated and confirmed. The structures, forms, and phases of these large quantities of fluid inclusions were also studied. A mass of fluid inclusions with various sizes, distributions, shapes, and phases exist in bornite and its associated minerals. Their sizes vary from a few micrometers to tens of micrometers, and the forms appear as negative crystals, or elongated, elliptical, and irregular. At room temperature, fluid inclusions were mainly characterized as gas-liquid two- phase. However, small amounts of fluid inclusions with pure gas phase and pure liquid single-phase were also observed in quartz and calcite. These fluid inclusions initially broke during the ore crushing and grinding process and then released into the flotation pulp in the flotation process. The quantitative analysis of fluid inclusions in the solution and the comparisons of mineral dissolution show that the amount of copper and iron released by fluid inclusions in the bornite sample is higher than the amount dissolved by the mineral; fluid inclusions in the associated gangue minerals, quartz, and calcite also make contribution.
