A trust-aware random walk model for return propensity estimation and consumer anomaly scoring in online shopping

In online shopping, most of consumers will not clear their return reasons when submitting return requests(e.g., select the option "other reasons"). Prior literature mostly investigates into the return event at the transaction level, and the underlying force of returns remains untracked. To deal with this problem, we propose a machine learning algorithm named as trust-aware random walk model(TARW). In the proposed model, four patterns of consumers can be identified in terms of return forces:(i) selfish consumers,(ii) honest consumers,(iii) fraud consumers, and(iv) irrelevant consumers. To profile consumers’ return patterns, we capture consumers’ similarities in order preferences and return tendencies separately. Based on consumers’ similarities, we obtain a return pattern trust network by introducing the trust network and collaborative filtering algorithms. Subsequently, we develop two important applications based on the trust network:(i)estimating consumers’ return propensities for product types;(ii) scoring the anomaly for consumers’ returns for one product. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments with the real-world data to validate the model’s effectiveness in predicting and tracing consumers’ returns. With the proposed model, we can help retailers improve the conversion rates of selfish consumers, retain honest consumers, and block fraud consumers.

以企业控制权为中心的非经济性管理目标使民营中小企业管理者更倾向于消极的技术研发投资策略,而盈利目标和控制权目标构成的多元管理目标将会导致决策过程出现较强的动态性。供应商议价能力的增强会对民营中小企业形成外部约束,削弱企业管理控制权,进而影响技术研发投资决策过程。本文采用2009-2015年我国1043家中小企业的面板数据进行实证分析,结果显示企业盈利目标和控制权目标在决策过程中遵循进阶聚焦逻辑,即当民营中小企业管理者在满足盈利参照点的前提下,应对供应商议价能力的反应更强,进而实施更多研发投资的管理决策。

In this study,information on energy usage in the United States(U.S.)aerospace manufacturing sector has been analyzed and then represented as energy intensities(kWh/m2)to establish benchmark data and to compare facilities of varying ***,public sources were identified and the data from these previously published sources were aggregated to determine the energy usage of aerospace manufacturing facilities within the *** this dataset,a sample of 28 buildings were selected and the energy intensity for each building was estimated from the ***,as a part of this study the energy data for three additional aerospace manufacturing facilities in the *** collected *** data was analyzed and the energy intensity(kWh/m2)for each facility was calculated and then compared with the energy intensities of the 28 buildings from the *** different indicators of energy consumption in aerospace manufacturing facilities were used as comparators to assist facility managers with determining potential energy savings and help in the decision-making *** average,aerospace manufacturing facilities in the United States spent 4 cents for each dollar of sale on *** energy intensity(kWh/m2)and the power intensity(W/m2)for each facility were calculated based on the actual facility energy *** power intensity for these facilities ranges from 34 to 134 W/*** energy intensity ranged from 232 to 949 kWh/*** found that the power intensity could be used to estimate energy consumption when the annual operating hours of the facility are *** to estimate the energy-related carbon dioxide emissions.

Both the commercial thick film gas sensors and the lab fabricated micro-hotplate based thin film gas sensors are *** the experiments and analysis,all the sensors could be influenced by the environmental O concentration *** with their sensitivity to the detected gases(CO or CH),the thick film sensors show independent on the O influence when detecting CH,while the influences of O on thick film sensors to CO are large and the influences on thin film sensors are large too,whatever the CO or CH gas.

In this paper, the authors proposed a model, to build trust in the infrastructure between the Consumer-to-Consumer （C2C） and some proposals, to increase the trust in building the infrastructure for electronic commerce between consumers C2C through a comparison of previous studies, which have been applied in many countries like America, China, France, Korea, and Philippines. In their work the authors focused on the relation between consumers C2C which is more successful than the business-to-Consumer （B2C）, business-to-business （B2B）, and is more systems suitable for developing countries and have been applied in China.

Barriers to medication adherence among patients have been shown to have significant impact on service quality and cost in the healthcare system. To minimize this impact, many in the healthcare industry are highly interested in supporting prescription adherence among patients. They believe that information technology in general, and mobile technology in particular, can help in developing medical practices that can be highly conducive to high rates of prescription adherence by enhancing communication between patients and healthcare providers. To this end, a number of pharmacy management benefit companies plan to adopt SMS （Short Message Service） communication to reach their customers given the wider acceptance of SMS messaging among mobile phone users. However, most of these pharmacies are reluctant to purchase service agreements from SMS aggregators without a complete understanding of user, service and business requirements related to SMS messaging. Hence, many are in dire needs for prototypes of SMS servers that can help them define and refine these requirements before committing to costly agreements with SMS aggregators. This paper describes such a prototype for a pharmacy benefit management company located in the southeast of the United States.
