This paper deals with the blow-up properties of positive solutions to a degenerate and singular nonlocal parabolic equation with weighted nonlocal boundary conditions. Under appropriate hypotheses, the global existence and finite time blow-up of positive solutions are obtained. Furthermore, by using the properties of Green＇s function, we find that the blow-up set of the blow-up solution is the whole domain （0, a）, and this differs from parabolic equations with local sources case.

In this article, the risk process perturbed by diffusion under interest force is considered, the continuity and twice continuous differentiability for Фδ（u,w） are discussed,the Feller expression and the integro-differential equation satisfied by Фδ （u ,w） are derived. Finally, the decomposition of Фδ（u,w） is discussed, and some properties of each decomposed part of Фδ（u,w） are obtained. The results can be reduced to some ones in Gerber and Landry＇s,Tsai and Willmot＇s, and Wang＇s works by letting parameter δ and （or） a be zero.

In this paper, the Small Area methods are presented. We use this method to produce estimates of poverty in Greece, at county （NUTS3） level. This is succeeded by combining survey data from EU-SILC 2013 with auxiliary data derived from the 2011 Census. In the application section, we adopt the Fay and Herriot model and we provide estimates for the percentage of Greek population under the poverty line in 2013 and also the mean equivalized income. Using Fay and Herriot model the percentages of poverty and the mean equivalized income changed in several areas. Also, the standard deviations of the estimates were improved in all prefectures.

We first prove some basic results on the periodic time scales, then on a special but practical periodic time scales T = ∪[k（α ＋ b）, k（α ＋ b）＋ α], the asymptotic behavior of x^△= px is explored with specific emphasis given to how the graininess of the time scales affects stability. At last, we analyze the asymptotic properties of the solutions of planar linear dynamic system, and obtain some sufficient conditions for the stability of the equalibium （0, 0）.

The 3-hour-interval prediction of ground-level temperature from +00 h out to +45 h in South Korea (38 stations) is performed using the DLM (dynamic linear model) in order to eliminate the systematic error of numerical model forecasts. Numerical model forecasts and observations are used as input values of the DLM. According to the comparison of the DLM forecasts to the KFM (Kalman filter model) forecasts with RMSE and bias, the DLM is useful to improve the accuracy of prediction.
