A short overview of the lead iodide residue impact and regulation strategies in perovskite solar cells

Lead iodide(PbI2) is a vital raw material for preparing perovskite solar cells(PSCs),and it not only takes part in forming the light absorption layer but also remains in the grain boundary as a passivator.In other words,the PbI2 content in the precursor and as formed film will affect the efficiency and stability of the PSCs.With moderate residual PbI2,it passivates the bulk/surface defects of perovskite,reduces the interfacial recombination,promotes the perovskite stability,minimizes the device hysteresis,and so on.Deficient PbI2 residue will reduce the interfacial passivation effect and device performance.In addition to facilitating the non-radiative recombination,over PbI2 residue can also lead to electronic insulation in the grain boundary and deteriorate the device performance.However,the impact and regulation of PbI2 residue on the device performance and stability is still not fully understood.Herein,a comprehensive and detailed review is presented by discussing the PbI2 residue impact and its regulation strategies(i.e., elimination,facilitation and conversion of the residue PbI2) to manipulate the PbI2 content,distribution and forms.Finally,we also show future outlooks in this field,with an aim to help further the progression of high-efficiency and stable PSCs.

A new type of in-pipe mobile robot was designed and developed on the basis of w heel in-pipe robot and crawler in-pipe robot. The three sets of driving wheels circumferentially 120° apart in the cross section, both front and rear driving wheels are distributed on the same parallelogram mechanis m. The driving motor drives the three sets of driving wheels by worm couple, the regulating motor makes the three sets of driving wheels push against the pipe inwall with stable and adequate pressing force by the ball screw pair and p ressure sensor, so the in-pipe robot can provide adequate and stable traction force. The robot mechanism is simple and sm all in size and work reliably . It is particularly suitable to the pipe with diameter 400～650 mm.

This paper described the structure and control of a new kind of miniature hexap od bio-robot, analyzed the moving principle of the robot. The robot is based on the principle of bionics, its structure is simple, design novel, unique. It can mov e forwards and backwards. The external dimensions of bio-robot is: leng.h 30 mm , width 40 mm, height 20 mm, weight 6.3 g. Some tests about the model robot were made. The experimental results show that the robot has good mobility.

A Robust Interacting Multisensor State Fusion Based on Adaptive Outlier Controlling Multirate Model

An adaptive outlier controlling multirate model based on Hong’s multirate kinetic model was represented in order to resist the outliers and utilize their useful information. Wavelet transform was introduced to detect and control the outliers. The multirate information extraction and the controlling of outliers were properly integrated to establish an adaptive outlier controlling multirate model. The proposed model was applied to multisensor state fusion with interacting multiple model (IMM), and a robust interacting multisensor state fusion algorithm was established based on adaptive outlier controlling multirate model. The Monte-Carlo simulation shows that it could improve the accuracy of fusion estimation by 70% compared to Hong’s algorithm and at least 14% to Xiao’s algorithm.

An approximately optimal adaptive arithmetic coding (AC) system using a forbidden symbol (FS) over noisy channels was proposed which allows one to jointly and adaptively design the source decoding and channel correcting in a single process, with superior performance compared with traditional separated techniques. The concept of adaptiveness is applied not only to the source model but also to the amount of coding redundancy. In addition, an improved branch metric computing algorithm and a faster sequential searching algorithm compared with the system proposed by Grangetto were proposed. The proposed system is tested in the case of image transmission over the AWGN channel, and compared with traditional separated system in terms of packet error rate and complexity. Both hard and soft decoding were taken into account.

A Novel Automatic Method for Removal of Flicker in Video

Intensity flicker is a common form of degradation in archived film. Most algorithms on this distortion are complicated and uncontrolled. This paper presented a discrete mathematical model of flicker, designed a block-based estimation method of the model’s parameters according to their features of intensity variation in large area. With this estimation result it constructed a compensation model to repair the current frame. This restoration approach is full automatic and the repair process of current frame does not need the information of frames behind it. The algorithm was realized to establish a simple and adjustable repair system. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can remove most intensity flicker and preserve the wanted effects.

This paper presented an improved channel estimator for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems using joint time delay detection and channel gain estimation. The algorithm well designs an adjustment scheme using the time correlation of time delays to increase the accuracy of the time delay detection. The most attractive advantage is that the complicated matrix calculation is replaced by the search steps to estimate the channel parameters without significantly increasing the complexity of the system. The computer simulation demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can track the time delays adaptively and improve the channel estimation performance. Consequently, the better system performance will be achieved.

Blind Detection of LSB Steganography in Grayscale Images

There are many detectors for the least significant bit(LSB)steganography which is broadly used in hiding information in the digital images.The leng.h of the hidden information is one of the most important parameters in detecting steganographic information.Using 2-D gradient of a pixel and the distance between variables the proposed method gives the leng.h of hidden information in natural grayscale images without original image.Extensive experimental results show good performance even at low embedding rate compared with other methods.Furthermore,the proposed method also works well disregarding the status of the embedded information.

A new technique which is named charge temporary storage technique (CTST) was presented to improve the linearity of a 1.5 bit/s pipelined analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The residual voltage was obtained from the sampling capacitor, and the other capacitor was just a temporary storage of charge. Then, the linearity produced by the mismatch of these capacitors was eliminated without adding extra capacitor error-averaging amplifiers. The simulation results confirmed the high linearity and low dissipation of pipelined ADCs implemented in CTST, so CTST was a new method to implement high resolution, small size ADCs.
