Energy-harvesting from low-temperature environmental heat via thermoelectric generators(TEG)is a versatile and maintenancefree solution for large-scale waste heat recovery and supplying renewable energy to a growing number of devices in the Internet of Things(IoT)that require an independent wireless power supply.A prerequisite for market competitiveness,however,is the costeffective and scalable manufacturing of these *** approach is to print the devices using printable thermoelectric polymers and composite *** present a mass-producible potentially low-cost fully screen printed flexible origami *** a unique two-step folding technique,we produce a mechanically stable 3D cuboidal device from a 2D layout printed on a thin flexible substrate using thermoelectric inks based on PEDOT nanowires and a TiS2:Hexylamine-complex *** realize a device architecture with a high thermocouple density of 190 per cm2 by using the thin substrate as electrical insulation between the thermoelectric elements resulting in a high-power output of 47.8μWcm^(−2)from a 30 K temperature *** device properties are adjustable via the print layout,specifically,the thermal impedance of the TEGs can be tuned over several orders of magnitudes allowing thermal impedance matching to any given heat *** demonstrate a wireless energy-harvesting application by powering an autonomous weather sensor comprising a Bluetooth module and a power management system.

Glacier shrinkage is a globally occurring ***-resolution change detection based on frequent mapping and monitoring of high-altitude glaciers is necessary to precisely evaluate future water availability and to understand glacier evolution under different climatic scenarios in the Hindukush-Karakoram-Himalayan(HKH)*** also holds true for the Bhaga basin of the western *** study investigates glacier and glacier lake changes in the Bhaga basin,over the last five decades based on satellite imagery including Corona KH4(1971),Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus(ETM+;2000),Linear Imaging Self-Scanning Sensor(LISS Ⅳ;2013),and Sentinel 2(2020).Regional temperature and precipitation trends were evaluated from gridded climatic datasets(1900–2020).In the Bhaga basin 306 glaciers(>0.2 km^(2))were mapped with a total area of 360.3±4.0 km^(2),of which 55.7±0.6 km^(2)was covered with debris in *** total glacier covered area decreased by∼8.2±1.5%(0.16±0.03%yr-1)during the entire observation period 1971–2020,with noticeable heterogeneity between tributary *** the past two decades(2000–2020),the deglaciation rate has increased significantly(0.25%yr-1)compared to the previous decades(1971–2000;0.12%yr-1).Glacier lake area increased by 0.6±0.1 km^(2)(0.012 km^(2)yr-1)between 1971 and *** NCEP/NCAR climatic data reveals an increase of 0.63℃in temperature and a decrease of 6.39 mm in precipitation for the period 1948–*** comparison,APHRODITE data shows an increasing trend in temperature of 1.14℃between 1961 and 2015 and decreasing trend in precipitation of 31 mm between 1951 and *** NCEP/NCAR and APHRODITE data reveal significant temperature increase and precipitation decrease since the 1990s,which have probably augmented ice loss in the Bhaga basin during the early 21st century.

Allogeneic Immunotherapy for Relapsed Multiple Myeloma：Role of Matched Unrelated Donors

Summary Existence of a graft-versus-myeloma effect has been well documented by responses to donor lymphocyte infusions and long-term survival after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. The development of non-myeloablative conditioning regimens allows utilization of allogeneic effects in patients usually not suitable for myeloablative allogeneic transplantation, such as older and heavily pretreated patients. In a small series of 11 patients with multiple myeloma relapsing after autologous transplantation, we show that conditioning with low-dose total body irradiation in combination with fludarabine allows stable engraftment after matched unrelated donor transplantation and is tolerated with acceptable transplant-related morbidity and mortality. With a short median follow-up of 225 days, disease control was achieved only for patients responding to conventional treatment prior to allografting. Future studies with longer follow-up have to define the role of non-myeloablative allogeneic transplantation from unrelated donors as consolidation for patients responding to salvage therapy.

＜正＞Objective The purpose of this study was to propose and evaluate a new percutaneous repairing method of fresh closed ruptured achilles’s tendon by Kessler’s suture under arthroscopy. Methods 20 patients were followed-up at least 12 months in this study. Firstly, the broken ends of achilles’s tendon were debrided under the arthroscopy. Then percutaneous repair of achilles’s tendon were performed using Kessler’s suture by inside-out technique. All cases were followed-up for an average range of 21 months （range, 12-36 months）. All patients were evaluated by clinical examination, MRI and Lindholm scale. Results The broken ends were well aligned and sutured after the debridment under arthroscopy. According to Lindholm scale, excellent result was showed in 15 cases, good in 5 cases. No patients had complications such as nerve injury, infection or rerupture at the time of follow-up. MRI results showed that the ruptured achilles’s tendons were repaired and remodeled very well in all patients. Conclusions The present method was an ideal surgical technique for repair of a closed ruptured achilles’s tendon. The short-term follow-up results were good and recovery time was short. Few complications were found in our study cases.

Functional morphological alterations of human blood platelets induced by oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein (LDL) were studied with an in vitro model by means of electron microscopy, reflection contrast microscopy and quantitative image analysis. The oxidized LDL (50-300 μg/ml) induced the disc-sphere transformation of platelets, the formation of pseudopodia, centralization of granules and degranulation.
