To construct a DNA vaccine as a prophylactic model to prevent condyloma acuminatum and detect its immu-nogenicity in mice. Methods The major capsid protein (L1) gene of human papillomavirus (HPV) 6b was inserted into an eukaryotic ex-pression plasmid (pcDNA3.1). The recombinant plasmid was transfected into COS-7 cells. Western blot were performed to detect whether L1 protein can be expressed in eukaryotic cells. Eighteen female BALB/c mice were tested for immunoge-nicity study. Results The recombinant plasmid (pcDNA3.1-HPV6bL1) was verified as HPV6b L1 gene by sequencing. Western blot showed specific strip. Anti-L1 protein antibodies could be detected in the mice’s sera inoculated with pcDNA3.1-HPV6bL1. Similarly, IL-4, IL-2, and IFN-γ were increased in the same mice. Conclusion HPV6b L1 recombinant plasmid was constructed successfully which had immunogenicity for BALB/c mice. Infections caused by opportunistic organisms which have been known asetiologic agents of disease become more and more frequent. Aspergillus spp. is one of the *** of aspergillus genus are widely distributed in nature, particularly in the soil and in thedecomposed vegetation. They are frequent opportunist pathogens in immunocompromised patients. Themost frequent causative organisms that cause cutaneous aspergillosis are A. fumigatus and A. *** this report, we present a case of primary cutaneous aspergillosis manifested by ulceration ofthe shank due to A. flavus. The patient had no deficiency of immunological status and severe diseaseassociated with fungal infection. Excellent response was shown to anti-fungal therapy.

In this review, we advance a new concept in developing vaccines and/or drugs to target speci?c proteins expressed during the early stage of Bacillus anthracis (an- thrax) infection and address existing challenges to this concept. Three proteins (immune inhibitor A, GPR-like spore protease, and alanine racemase) initially identi?ed by proteomics in our laboratory were found to have di?erential expres- sions during anthrax spore germination and early outgrowth. Other studies of di?erent bacillus strains indicate that these three proteins are involved in either germination or cytotoxicity of spores, suggesting that they may serve as potential targets for the design of anti-anthrax vaccines and drugs.

Monnclonal antibody HMB-45 was previously thought to be melanoma specific antibody and was taken recently as a marker for melanocyte proliferation or activation. A single UV-irradiation system which may induce a functional activity change in melanocytes was used to test the irradiated epidermal melanocyte for expression of ***, in the epidermis of the biopsies taken 7 days after a single UV exposure, showed markedly stained HMB-45,accompanied by morphological changes such as enlarged size,rich cytoplasma and elongated dendrites. We conclude that since morphological changes in irradiated melanocytes may be interpreted as signs of functional activity changes, melanocytes are exposed to sthnulatory factors induced by UV light and get into a functional activating state to produce melanosome and HMB-45 antigen. Besides, the presence of HMB-45 in a single UV exposed epidermal melanocyte may support the hypothesis that its expression is inducible and is closely related to the functional activity

Psoriasis is a common disease with a prevalence of up to 2% in the world population.~1 The pathophysiological mechanism of this inflammatory disease has not been determined although it is generally accepted to have a genetic predisposition and be T-cell mediated. The lymphocytes are the target of psoriatic therapeutic strategies. Therapy resolves psoriasis for a time, but induces some severe side effects. Some cases of severe psoriasis, treated with multiple therapeutic regimens for many years, developed leukemia.
