Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in MATHEMATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Nonsmooth Semi-Infinite Minmax Programming Involving Generalized(Φ, ρ)-Invexity

This paper introduces some new generalizations of the concept of （~, p）-invexity for non- differentiable locally Lipschitz functions using the tools of Clarke subdifferential. These functions are used to derive the necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for a class of nonsmooth semi-infinite minmax programming problems, where set of restrictions are indexed in a compact set. Utilizing the sufficient optimality conditions, the authors formulate three types of dual models and establish weak and strong duality results. The results of the paper extend and unify naturally some earlier results from the literature.

Azo Dye Doped Polymer Films for Nonlinear Optical Applications

Azo dye doped polymer films were prepared on glass substrates using spin-coating technique. FTIR, UV-Vis spectra and PL measurements were recorded to characterize the structure of the metanil yellow doped PVA films. Surface morphology and thickness of the films were studied using AFM and FESEM. The magnitude of both real and imaginary parts of third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ3 of metanil yellow were determined by the Z-scan technique. The nonlinear refractive index n2 and the nonlinear absorption coefficient β of the azo dye doped polymer films were calculated respectively. The real part of the third-order susceptibility χ3 is much larger than its imaginary part indicating that the third-order optical response of the metanil yellow doped PVA films is dominated by the optical nonlinear refractive behavior.

Wet Chemical Synthesis of Entangled Nano-fibrous Conducting Polyaniline(PANI) Mesh: Effect of Heating and Stirring

An effect of heating and stirring in a facile wet chemical route to synthesize entangled nanofibrous mesh of doped polyaniline(PANI) was reported. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of PANI nano-fibers were found to be dependent on synthesis temperature and stirring. The XRD analysis confirms nano PANI formation with 2θ peaks around 15°, 21°, and 25° for(011),(020), and(200) crystal planes, respectively. The average crystallite size varies between 25 nm to 60 nm due to change in synthesis conditions. The SEM analysis reveals the clustered granule formation for PANI sample synthesized at 28 and 60 ℃ under continuous stirring, whereas, unstirred synthesis at 60 ℃ shows entangled nano-fibrous mesh morphology. The TGA study shows better thermal stability for PANI mesh over granular PANI. The FTIR spectra validates the emeraldine salt PANI formation with peaks corresponding to C-H, C-N, N=Q=N, N=B=N, and N-H vibration bands. The UV-Vis analysis shows the major absorbance peaks around λ: 340 nm(π-π* transition of benzenoid ring), and λ: 800 nm(π-π*, polaron-π*, π-polaron transitions). The dense entangled nano-fibrous coating of PANI synthesized at 60 ℃ without stirring shows highest electrical conductivity of 3.79 S·cm^-1.

Preparation and Electrochemical Performance of Nano-Co_3O_4 Anode Materials from Spent Li-Ion Batteries for Lithium-Ion Batteries

A hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of cobalt oxalate from spent lithium-ion batteries was used to recycle cobalt compound by using alkali leaching, reductive acid leaching and chemical deposition of cobalt oxalate. The recycled cobalt oxalate was used to synthesize nano-Co3O4 anode material by sol-gel method. The samples were characterized by thermal gravity analysis and differential thermal analysis （TGA/DTA）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and charge/discharge measurements. The influence of molar ratio of Co2＋ to citric acid and calcination temperature on the structure and electrochemical performance of nano-Co3O4 was evaluated. As the molar ratio of Co2＋ to citric acid is 1：1, the face-centered cubic （fcc） Co3O4 powder shows the discharge capacity of 760.9 mA h g-1, the high coulombic efficiency of 99.7% in the first cycle at the current density of 125 mA g-l, and the excellent cycling performance with the reversible capacity of 442.3 mA h g-1 after 20 cycles at the current density of 250 mA g-1.

MHD flow of a visco-elastic fluid through a porous medium between infinite parallel plates with time dependent suction

This work provides a comprehensive theoretical analysis of MHD unsteady free convection viscoelastic fluid flow through a porous medium. The medium is treated as incompressible and optically transparent. The flow of the fluid is initiated by shearing action of the moving wall with time dependent suction. Radiative heat flow is considered in temperature equation. The coupled nonlinear problem has been solved asymptotically. Approximate solutions have been obtained for the mean velocity, mean temperature using multi parameter perturbation technique. The originality of the present study is to investigate the effect of viscoelastic property of the fluid（Walters B？ model） on the flow and heat transfer phenomena when the flow is permeated through a porous medium with uniform porous matrix subject to transverse magnetic field and time dependent fluctuative suction at the boundary surface. The case of viscous flow has been discussed as a particular case on comparison with the result reported earlier and it is in good agreement. Flow reversal is indicated incase of viscoelastic fluid with high heat capacity in the presence of magnetic field. The higher cooling of the plate in case of viscoelastic flow also causes a flow reversal.

Influence of crystallization on corrosion resistance of Al_(86)Ni_6La_6Cu_2 amorphous alloy

The influence of crystallization on the corrosion behavior of Al86Ni6La6Cu2 amorphous alloy in 0.01 M NaCl solution was investigated by electrochemical techniques. The Al86Ni6La6Cu2 amorphous alloy was prepared by melt spinning method, and the partially and fully crystallized states were obtained by controlled annealing. The evolution of the crystallization process after annealing was characterized by differential scanning calorimeter （DSC） and X-ray diffraction. The polarization curves revealed that all samples exhibited spontaneous passivation. The fully amorphous Al86Ni6La6Cu2 sample exhibited the best corrosion resistance. Partial and full crystallization resulted in deterioration of corrosion resistance in comparison with that of the as-spun amorphous state.

Energy Bounds for Static Spherically Symmetric Spacetime in f(R, G) Gravity

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate energy bounds in the context of f(R, G) gravity. To meet this aim, we choose static spherically symmetric spacetime in f(R, G) gravity to develop the field equations. We select three different models of f(R, G) gravity, which are thoroughly discussed in the literature. Firstly, the inequalities are formulated using energy bounds and then viability of the considered models are checked respectively. Graphical analysis show that specific f(R, G) gravity models are satisfied under suitable values of model parameters. It is shown that in a certain case energy bounds are satisfied expect SEC, which supports the late time acceleration expansion of unverse.

Behavior of Anisotropic Compact Stars in f(R,∅) Gravity

The aim of this paper is to investigate modified f(R, ?) theory of gravity, where R and ? represent the Ricci scalar and scalar potential respectively. Specifically, we take the spherically symmetric spacetime to discuss the possible emergence of compact stars. We study the physical behavior of compact stars by considering 4 U 1820-30, SAX J1808-3658 and Her X1, which are three popular models of compact stars. The graphical analysis of energy density, radial pressure, tangential pressure, energy conditions as well as stability of compact stars has been shown. It is concluded that behavior of these three stars is usual for f(R, ?) gravity models with some specific choices of model parameters.
