Exploiting structural similarity of log files in fault diagnosis for Web service composition

With increasing deployment of Web services, the research on the dependability and availability of Web service composition becomes more and more active. Since unexpected faults of Web service composition may occur in different levels at runtime, log analysis as a typical data- driven approach for fault diagnosis is more applicable and scalable in various architectures. Considering the trend that more and more service logs are represented using XML or JSON format which has good flexibility and interoperability, fault classification problem of semi-structured logs is considered as a challenging issue in this area. However, most existing approaches focus on the log content analysis but ignore the structural information and lead to poor performance. To improve the accuracy of fault classification, we exploit structural similarity of log files and propose a similarity based Bayesian learning approach for semi-structured logs in this paper. Our solution estimates degrees of similarity among structural elements from heterogeneous log data, constructs combined Bayesian network （CBN）, uses similarity based learning algorithm to compute probabilities in CBN, and classifies test log data into most probable fault categories based on the generated CBN. Experimental results show that our approach outperforms other learning approaches on structural log datasets.

A preliminary study of sperm identification in microdissection testicular sperm extraction samples with deep convolutional neural networks

Free radical scavenger effect of rebamipide in sperm processing and cryopreservation

Aim: To study the effect of rebamipide added to semen samples and cryoprotectant on reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Methods: Semen samples from 30 fertile and healthy volunteers were collected by masturbation after 2 days - 3 days of abstinence. After liquefaction, the specimens were diluted with sperm wash media to a uniform density of 20×106/mL. Rebamipide was added to semen samples and cryoprotectant to a final concentration of 10 μmol/L, 30 μmol/L, 100 μmol/L or 300 μmol/L. Specimens were incubated at 37 ℃ in a 0.5 % CO2 incubator for 1 h or cryopreserved at -196 ℃ LN2 for 3 days. The sperm motility and viability and the levels of ROS and lipid peroxidation of sperm membrance were assessed before and after incubation and cryopreservation by means of computer assisted semen analyzer, eosin-nigrosin stain, chemiluminescence and thiobarbituric acid assay, respectively. Results: The sperm motility was significantly increased after incubation with 100 μmol/L and 300 μmol/L rebamipide (P0.05). The levels of ROS and lipid peroxidation in semen were significantly decreased in proportion to the concentrations of rebamipide both after incubation and cryopreservation (P<0.05). Conclusion: Rebamipide is an effective free radical scavenger in semen in vitro.

A Bintree Energy Approach for Colour Image Segmentation Using Adaptive Channel Selection

A new hierarchical approach called bintree energy segmentation was presented for color image segmentation. The image features are extracted by adaptive clustering on multi-channel data at each level and used as the criteria to dynamically select the best chromatic channel, where the segmentation is carried out. In this approach, an extended direct energy computation method based on the Chan-Vese model was proposed to segment the selected channel, and the segmentation outputs are then fused with other channels into new images, from which a new channel with better features is selected for the second round segmentation. This procedure is repeated until the preset condition is met. Finally, a binary segmentation tree is formed, in which each leaf represents a class of objects with a distinctive color. To facilitate the data organization, image background is employed in segmentation and channels fusion. The bintree energy segmentation exploits color information involved in all channels data and tries to optimize the global segmentation result by choosing the 'best' channel for segmentation at each level. The experiments show that the method is effective in speed, accuracy and flexibility.

We propose and describe an all-optical prefix tree adder with the help of a terahertz optical asymmetric demultiplexer （TOAD） using a set of optical switches. The prefix tree adder is useful in compound adder implementation. It is preferred over the ripple carry adder and the carry lookahead adder. We also describe the principle and possibilities of the all-optical prefix tree adder. The theoretical model is presented and verified through numerical simulation. The new method promises higher processing speed and accuracy. The model can be extended for studying more complex all-optical circuits of enhanced functionality in which the prefix tree adder is the basic building block.

Owing to massive technological developments in Internet of Things(IoT)and cloud environment,cloud computing(CC)offers a highly flexible heterogeneous resource pool over the network,and clients could exploit various resources on *** IoT-enabled models are restricted to resources and require crisp response,minimum latency,and maximum bandwidth,which are outside the *** was handled as a resource-rich solution to aforementioned *** high delay reduces the performance of the IoT enabled cloud platform,efficient utilization of task scheduling(TS)reduces the energy usage of the cloud infrastructure and increases the income of service provider via minimizing processing time of user ***,this article concentration on the design of an oppositional red fox optimization based task scheduling scheme(ORFOTSS)for IoT enabled cloud *** presented ORFO-TSS model resolves the problem of allocating resources from the IoT based cloud *** achieves the makespan by performing optimum TS procedures with various aspects of incoming *** designing of ORFO-TSS method includes the idea of oppositional based learning(OBL)as to traditional RFO approach in enhancing their efficiency.A wide-ranging experimental analysis was applied on the CloudSim *** experimental outcome highlighted the efficacy of the ORFO-TSS technique over existing approaches.
