H9N2 virus has been widely distributed in wild birds and poultry around the world since its first emergence in the United States of America in 1966(Gu et al.2017;Carnaccini and Perez 2020).The virus appeared in chickens in China in the early 1990s,and over the last two decades has gradually become the dominant epidemic subtype(Sun and Liu 2015;Bi et al.2020).Although H9N2 virus infection alone cannot cause severe disease or death in poultry,H9N2 virus-infected birds experience a degree of egg production drop and can be easily infected by other pathogens,thus causing economic losses for poultry industry.

The emergence of drug resistance to virus(i.e., acyclovir(ACV) to herpesviruses) has been termed one of the common clinical issues,emphasizing the discovery of new antiviral agents. To address it, a genome-wide clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR) screening was performed in mouse haploid embryonic stem cells infected with pseudorabies virus(PRV), an α-herpesvirus causing human and pig diseases. The results demonstrated that type 2 voltage-gated chloride channels(CLC-2) encoded by one of the identified genes, CLCN2, is a potential drug target for anti-herpesvirus therapy. CLC-2 inhibitors, omeprazole(OME) and 4,4′-diisothiocyanostilbene-2,2′-disulfonic acid(DIDS), can efficiently inhibit infection of multiple herpesviruses in cellulo(i.e., PRV, HSV and EBV), and effectively treat murine herpes simplex encephalitis(HSE). Additionally, DIDS was found to inhibit HSV-1 replication by blocking the PI3K/Akt *** importantly, both DIDS and OME were able to inhibit ACV-resistant HSV-1 strain infection. The study's findings suggest that targeting host-cell factors such as CLC-2 may be a promising approach to tackling herpesvirus drug resistance. The discovery of CLC-2 as a potential drug target for anti-herpesvirus therapy provides a new direction for the development of novel antiviral agents.

Objective:To evaluate the combination therapy of pyronaridine tetraphosphate and diminazene aceturate against Babesia in vitro and in ***:Bioinformatic analysis was performed using atom pair *** in vitro combination test was performed against Babesia bovis and Theileria ***,the in vivo chemotherapeutic efficacy of pyronaridine tetraphosphate in combination with diminazene aceturate was investigated against the growth of Babesia microti in mice using a fluorescence inhibitory ***:Pyronaridine tetraphosphate and diminazene aceturate exhibited nearly similar molecular *** in vitro combination of pyronaridine tetraphosphate and diminazene aceturate was synergistic on Babesia bovis and additive on Theileria *** addition,5 mg/kg pyronaridine tetraphosphate combined with 10 mg/kg diminazene aceturate inhibited Babesia microti growth significantly compared with those observed after treatment with 25 mg/kg diminazene aceturate alone from day 6 post treatment to day 12 post *** combination therapy also normalized the hematological parameters of infected ***:An oral dose of pyronaridine tetraphosphate combined with a subcutaneous dose of diminazene aceturate inhibits Babesia in vitro and in mice,suggesting it might be a new paradigm for the treatment of babesiosis.

Epilepsy,one of the most common neurological disorders,is characterized by spon-taneous recurrent *** lobe epilepsy(TLE)is one of the most common medically intractable seizure ***2-and NcK-interacting kinase(TNIK)has recently attracted attention as a critical modulation target of many neurological and psychiatric disorders,but its role in epilepsy remains *** this study,we hypothesized the involvement of TNIK in epilepsy and investigated TNIK expression in patients with intractable TLE and in a pilocarpineinduced rat model of epilepsy by western blotting,immunofluorescence,and immunohistochemistry.A pentylenetetrazole(PTZ)-induced epilepsy rat model was used to determine the effect of the TNIK inhibitor NCB-0846 on behavioral manifestations of ***(Co-IP)/mass spectrometry(MS)was used to identify the potential *** Co-IP,we detected and confirmed the main potential TNIK *** fractionation was used to establish the effect of NCB-0846 on the expression of the main interactors in postsynaptic density(PSD)*** found that TNIK was primarily located in neurons and decreased significantly in epilepsy model rats and TLE patients compared with ***-0846 delayed kindling progression and decreased seizure ***-IP/MS identified 63 candidate TNIK interactors in rat hippocampi,notably ***-IP showed that TNIK might correlate with endogenous GRIA1,SYN2,PSD-95,CaMKIV,GABRG1,and *** addition,the significant decrease in GRIA1 in hippocampal total lysate and PSDs after NCB-0846 treatment might help modify the progression of PTZ *** results suggest that TNIK contributes to epileptic pathology and is a potential antiepileptic drug target.

Influence of anodization conditions on deposition of Hydroxyapatite on α/β Ti alloys for Osseointegration: Atomic Force Microscopy Analysis

Integrating titanium-based implants with the surrounding bone tissue remains challenging. This study aims to explore the impact of different anodization voltages （20-80V） on the surface topography of two-phase （α/β） Ti alloys and to produce TiO2films with enhanced bone formation abilities. Scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy （SEM-EDS） and atomic force microscopy （AFM） were applied to investigate the morphological， chemical， and surface topography of the prepared alloys and to confirm the growth of hydroxyapatite （HA） on their surfaces. Results disclosed that the surface roughness of TiO2films formed on Ti-6Al-7Nb alloys was superior to that of Ti–6Al–4V alloys. Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy anodized at 80 V had the highest yields of HA after immersion in SBF with enhanced HA surface coverage. The developed HA layer had a mean thickness of 128.38 ± 18.13 μm， suggesting its potential use as an orthopedic implantable material due to its promising bone integration and， hence， remarkable stability inside the human body.

This paper is investigating the use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for the protection of light armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military vehicles(MAV), and the interaction between the composite materials and high-performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and the metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adhesive technology. The proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. The design of the protection system, including material selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the performance requirements of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new composite is a hybrid material of Metal Matrix Composite(MMC) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with the use of powder metallurgy technique. The composite backplate material was morphologically, mechanically and chemically analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high mechanical properties and ballistic characteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for the total composite armour systems. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, compared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the composite plate.

Three-dimensional(3D) imaging with structured light is crucial in diverse scenarios, ranging from intelligent manufacturing and medicine to entertainment. However, current structured light methods rely on projector–camera synchronization, limiting the use of affordable imaging devices and their consumer applications. In this work, we introduce an asynchronous structured light imaging approach based on generative deep neural networks to relax the synchronization constraint, accomplishing the challenges of fringe pattern aliasing, without relying on any a priori constraint of the projection system. To overcome this need, we propose a generative deep neural network with U-Net-like encoder–decoder architecture to learn the underlying fringe features directly by exploring the intrinsic prior principles in the fringe pattern aliasing. We train within an adversarial learning framework and supervise the network training via a statisticsinformed loss function. We demonstrate that by evaluating the performance on fields of intensity, phase, and 3D reconstruction. It is shown that the trained network can separate aliased fringe patterns for producing comparable results with the synchronous one: the absolute error is no greater than 8 μm, and the standard deviation does not exceed 3 μm. Evaluation results on multiple objects and pattern types show it could be generalized for any asynchronous structured light scene.

Understanding the habitat shifting pattern is a prerequisite for implementing in situ conservation of migratory *** seals(Phoca largha)inhabiting the Yellow Sea ecoregion(YSE)comprise a small population with independent genes and represent a charismatic flagship species in this ***,this population has declined by 80%since the 1940s,and increased support from the countries around the YSE is urgently needed to address the potential local extinction risk.A time-series niche model and life-history weighted systematic conservation planning were designed on the basis of a satellite beacon tracking survey(2010–2020)of the YSE *** results showed clustering and spreading shifting patterns during the breeding and migratory seasons,*** closed-loop migration route formed in the YSE indicated that this population might be geographically isolated from populations in other breeding areas around the *** conservation priority area(CPA),with an area of 19632 km^(2)(3.58%of the total YSE area),was the most effective response to the potential in situ ***,nearly 80%of the CPA was exposed outside the existing marine protected areas(MPAs).Future establishment of MPAs in China should strategically consider the conservation gap identified herein,and it is recommended for Korea’s closed fishing season to be spatially set in the western Korean Peninsula from May to *** study also exemplified that the lack of temporal information would lead to the dislocation of niche modeling for migratory species represented by spotted *** should be paid to protecting small and migratory populations in marine biodiversity conservation planning.
