Deep Neural Network Based Detection and Segmentation of Ships for Maritime Surveillance

In recent years,computer visionfinds wide applications in maritime surveillance with its sophisticated algorithms and advanced ***-matic ship detection with computer vision techniques provide an efficient means to monitor as well as track ships in water *** being an important medium of transport require continuous monitoring for protection of national *** remote sensing satellite images of ships in harbours and water bodies are the image data that aid the neural network models to localize ships and to facilitate early identification of possible threats at *** paper proposes a deep learning based model capable enough to classify between ships and no-ships as well as to localize ships in the original images using bounding box ***,classified ships are again segmented with deep learning based auto-encoder *** proposed model,in terms of classification,provides suc-cessful results generating 99.5%and 99.2%validation and training accuracy *** auto-encoder model also produces 85.1%and 84.2%validation and training *** the IoU metric of the segmented images is found to be of 0.77 *** experimental results reveal that the model is accu-rate and can be implemented for automatic ship detection in water bodies consid-ering remote sensing satellite images as input to the computer vision system.

Use of Patient-Specific “4D” tele-Education to Enhance Actual and Perceived Knowledge in Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) Patients

Design of Computationally Efficient Sharp FIR Filter Utilizing Modified Multistage FRM Technique for Wireless Communications Systems

Modern wireless communications gadgets demand multi-standard communications facilities with least overlap between different input radio channels. A sharp digital filter of extremely narrow transition-width with lower stop band ripples offers alias-free switching among the preferred frequency bands. A computationally competent low pass filter (LPF) structure based on the multistage frequency response masking (FRM) approach is proposed for the design of sharp finite impulse response (FIR) filters which are suitable for wireless communications applications. In comparison of basic FRM with other existing multistage FRM structures, the proposed structure has a narrow transition bandwidth and higher stop band attenuation with significant reduction in terms of the number of computational steps. A design example is incorporated to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach. Simulation results establish the improvement of the proposed scheme over other recently published design strategies.

The fraudulent website image is a vital information carrier for telecom *** efficient and precise recognition of fraudulent website images is critical to combating and dealing with fraudulent *** research on image recognition of fraudulent websites is mainly carried out at the level of image feature extraction and similarity study,which have such disadvantages as difficulty in obtaining image data,insufficient image analysis,and single identification *** study develops a model based on the entropy method for image leader decision and Inception-v3 transfer learning to address these *** data processing part of the model uses a breadth search crawler to capture the image ***,the information in the images is evaluated with the entropy method,image weights are assigned,and the image leader is *** model training and prediction,the transfer learning of the Inception-v3 model is introduced into image recognition of fraudulent *** selected image leaders to train the model,multiple types of fraudulent websites are identified with high *** experiment proves that this model has a superior accuracy in recognizing images on fraudulent websites compared to other current models.

A Hybrid Brain-Computer Interface for Closed-Loop Position Control of a Robot Arm

Brain-Computer interfacing(BCI)has currently added a new dimension in assistive *** braincomputer interfaces designed for position control applications suffer from two fundamental ***,most of the existing schemes employ open-loop control,and thus are unable to track positional errors,resulting in failures in taking necessary online corrective *** are examples of a few works dealing with closed-loop electroencephalography(EEG)-based position *** existing closed-loop brain-induced position control schemes employ a fixed order link selection rule,which often creates a bottleneck preventing time-efficient ***,the existing brain-induced position controllers are designed to generate a position response like a traditional firstorder system,resulting in a large steady-state *** paper overcomes the above two limitations by keeping provisions for steady-state visual evoked potential(SSVEP)induced linkselection in an arbitrary order as required for efficient control and generating a second-order response of the position-control system with gradually diminishing overshoots/undershoots to reduce steady-state *** than the above,the third innovation is to utilize motor imagery and P300 signals to design the hybrid brain-computer interfacing system for the said application with gradually diminishing error-margin using speed reversal at the zero-crossings of positional *** undertaken reveal that the steady-state error is reduced to 0.2%.The paper also provides a thorough analysis of the stability of the closed-loop system performance using the Root Locus technique.

Electrochemical performance of La_(1-x)Sr_xCuO_(3-δ)-Sm_(0.15)Ce_(0.85)O_(1.925) composite cathodes in IT-SOFCs

The cathode material La1-xSrxCuO3-δ(x=0.15, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) was synthesized by a sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction reveals that a single phase of perovskite is formed. The investigation of the electrical properties suggests that La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ has the highest electrical conductivity. La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ powder was mixed with different amount SDC (Sm0.15Ce0.85O1.925) powder (5wt.%-30wt.%) as composite cathodes. Electrochemical properties of the composite cathodes were researched further. Investigation suggests that the addition of appropriate amount SDC to La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ can improve the electrochemical properties and obtain better cathodic performance. Using La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ-SDC composite materials as a cathode based on SDC electrolyte, higher current density and power density at intermediate temperatures can be obtained.

Test of Strain Behavior Model with Radon Anomaly in Seismogenic Area: A Bayesian Melding Approach

Mathematical models in seismo-geochemical monitoring offer powerful tools for the study and exploration of complex dynamics associated with discharge of radon as the indicator of change of intense-deformed conditions of seismogenic layers or blocks within the lithosphere. Seismic precursory model of radon gas emanation in the process of earthquake prediction research aims to find out the distinct anomaly variation necessary to correlate radon gas with processes of preparation and realization of tectonic earthquakes in long-term and short-term forecasts tectonic earthquakes. The study involves a radon gas volume analytic model to find the correlation of radon fluctuations to stress drop under compression and dilatation strain condition. Here, we present a mathematical inference by observing radon gas emanation prior to the occurrence of earthquake that may reduce the uncertainties in models and updating their probability distributions in a Bayesian deterministic model. Using Bayesian melding theorem, we implement an inferential framework to understand the process of preparation of tectonic earthquake and concurrent occurrence of radon discharge during a tectonic earthquake phenomena. Bayesian melding for deterministic simulation models was augmented to make use of prior knowledge on correlations between model inputs. The background porosity is used as a priori information for analyzing the block subjected to inelastic strain. It can be inferred that use of probabilistic framework involving exhalation of radon may provide a scenario of earthquake occurrences on recession of the curve that represents a qualitative pattern of radon activity concentration drop, indicating associated stress change within the causative seismogenic fault. Using evidence analysis, we propose a joint conditional probability framework model simulation to understand how a single fracture may be affected in response to an external load and radon anomaly change that can be used to detect the slip
