Dynamic Multi-Graph Spatio-Temporal Graph Traffic Flow Prediction in Bangkok:An Application of a Continuous Convolutional Neural Network

The ability to accurately predict urban traffic flows is crucial for optimising city ***,various methods for forecasting urban traffic have been developed,focusing on analysing historical data to understand complex mobility *** learning techniques,such as graph neural networks(GNNs),are popular for their ability to capture spatio-temporal ***,these models often become overly complex due to the large number of hyper-parameters *** this study,we introduce Dynamic Multi-Graph Spatial-Temporal Graph Neural Ordinary Differential Equation Networks(DMST-GNODE),a framework based on ordinary differential equations(ODEs)that autonomously discovers effective spatial-temporal graph neural network(STGNN)architectures for traffic prediction *** comparative analysis of DMST-GNODE and baseline models indicates that DMST-GNODE model demonstrates superior performance across multiple datasets,consistently achieving the lowest Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE)values,alongside the highest *** the BKK(Bangkok)dataset,it outperformed other models with an RMSE of 3.3165 and an accuracy of 0.9367 for a 20-min interval,maintaining this trend across 40 and 60 ***,on the PeMS08 dataset,DMST-GNODE achieved the best performance with an RMSE of 19.4863 and an accuracy of 0.9377 at 20 min,demonstrating its effectiveness over longer *** Los_Loop dataset results further emphasise this model’s advantage,with an RMSE of 3.3422 and an accuracy of 0.7643 at 20 min,consistently maintaining superiority across all time *** numerical highlights indicate that DMST-GNODE not only outperforms baseline models but also achieves higher accuracy and lower errors across different time intervals and datasets.

Consider the compound binomial risk model with interest on the surplus under a constant dividend barrier and periodically paying dividends. A system of integral equations for the arbitrary moments of the sum of the discounted dividend payments until ruin is derived. Moreover, under a very relaxed condition, the solutions for arbitrary moments are obtained by setting up iteration processes because of a special property of the system of integral equations.

Artificial Circulation System Algorithm:A Novel Bio-Inspired Algorithm

Metaheuristics are commonly used in various fields,including real-life problem-solving and engineering appli*** present work introduces a novel metaheuristic algorithm named the Artificial Circulatory System Algorithm(ACSA).The control of the circulatory system inspires it and mimics the behavior of hormonal and neural regulators involved in this *** work initially evaluates the effectiveness of the suggested approach on 16 two-dimensional test functions,identified as classical benchmark *** method was subsequently examined by application to 12 CEC 2022 benchmark problems of different ***,the paper evaluates ACSA in comparison to 64 metaheuristic methods that are derived from different approaches,including evolutionary,human,physics,and ***,a sequence of statistical tests was undertaken to examine the superiority of the suggested algorithm in comparison to the 7 most widely used algorithms in the existing *** results show that the ACSA strategy can quickly reach the global optimum,avoid getting trapped in local optima,and effectively maintain a balance between exploration and *** outperformed 42 algorithms statistically,according to post-hoc *** also outperformed 9 algorithms *** study concludes that ACSA offers competitive solutions in comparison to popüler methods.

The depression mechanism of sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite in the flotation separation of galena from sphalerite still lacked in-depth ***,the depression mechanism of sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite in the flotation separation of galena from sphalerite was further systematically investigated with experiments and density functional theory(DFT)*** X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy(XPS)results,DFT calculation results,and frontier molecular orbital analysis indicated that sulfite ions were difficult to be adsorbed on sphalerite surface,suggesting that sulfite ions achieved depression effects on sphalerite through other non-adsorption ***,the oxygen content in the surface of sphalerite treated with sulfite ions in creased,which enhanced the hydrophilicity of the sphalerite and further increased the difference in hydrophilicity between sphalerite and ***,sulfite ions were chelated with lead ions to form PbSO_(3)in *** hydrophilic PbSO_(3)was more easily adsorbed on sphalerite than *** interaction between sulfite ions and lead ions could effectively inhibit the activation of *** addition the UV spectrum showed that after adding sulfite ions,the peak of perxanthate in the sphalerite treated xanthate solution was significantly stronger than that in the galena with xanthate solution,indicating that xanthate interacted more readily with sulfite ions and oxygen mo lecules within the sphalerite system,leading to the formation of ***,sulfite ions hardly depressed the flotation of ga lena and could promote the flotation of galena to some *** study deepened the understanding of the depression mechanism o sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite.

High-entropy materials represent a new category of high-performance materials,first proposed in 2004 and extensively investigated by researchers over the past two *** definition of high-entropy materials has continuously *** the last ten years,the discovery of an increasing number of high-entropy materials has led to significant advancements in their utilization in energy storage,electrocatalysis,and related domains,accompanied by a rise in techniques for fabricating high-entropy electrode ***,the research emphasis has shifted from solely improving the performance of high-entropy materials toward exploring their reaction mechanisms and adopting cleaner preparation ***,the current definition of high-entropy materials remains relatively vague,and the preparation method of high-entropy materials is based on the preparation method of single metal/low-or medium-entropy *** should be noted that not all methods applicable to single metal/low-or medium-entropy materials can be directly applied to high-entropy *** this review,the definition and development of high-entropy materials are briefly ***,the classification of high-entropy electrode materials is presented,followed by a discussion of their applications in energy storage and catalysis from the perspective of synthesis ***,an evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of various synthesis methods in the production process of different high-entropy materials is provided,along with a proposal for potential future development directions for high-entropy materials.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Superconvergence and asymptotic expansions for linear finite element approximations on criss-cross mesh

In this paper, we discuss the error estimation of the linear finite element solution on criss-cross mesh. Using space orthogonal decomposition techniques, we obtain an asymptotic expansion and superconvergence results of the finite element solution. We first prove that the asymptotic expansion has different forms on the two kinds of nodes and then derive a high accuracy combination formula of the approximate derivatives.

Influence of dc bias on amorphous carbon deposited by pulse laser ablation

Amorphous carbon films were deposited on single-crystalline silicon and K9glass by pulse laser ablation using different negative substrate bias. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) was used to observe morphology of the surface. Thickness and refractive index of the filmdeposited on K9 glass were measured by ellipsometry. Micro-hardness of films was measured relativelyto single crystal silicon. All films deposited on silicon were analyzed by Raman spectra. Allspectra were deconvoluted to three peaks. Line-width ratios varied similarly with bias voltage whenthe laser energy was kept invariant.

Background The problem of visualizing a hierarchical dataset is an important and useful technique in many real-life *** systems,stock markets,and other hierarchical-related datasets can use this tech-nique to better understand the structure and dynamic variation of the *** space-filling(square)-based methods have the advantages of compact space usage and node size as opposed to diagram-based ***-filling-based methods have two main research directions:static and dynamic *** This study presented a treemapping method based on balanced partitioning that enables excellent aspect ratios in one variant,good temporal coherence for dynamic data in another,and in the third,a satisfactory compromise between these two *** layout a treemap,all the children of a node were divided into two groups,which were then further divided until groups of single elements were *** this,these groups were combined to form a rectangle representing the parent *** process was performed for each layer of the hierarchical *** the first variant from the partitioning,the child elements were sorted and two groups,sized as equally as possible,were built from both big and small elements(size-balanced partition).This achieved satisfactory aspect ratios for the rec-tangles but less so temporal coherence(dynamic).For the second variant,the sequence of children was taken and from this,groups,sized as equally as possible,were created without the need for sorting(sequence-based,good compromise between aspect ratio and temporal coherency).For the third variant,the children were split into two groups of equal cardinalities,regardless of their size(number-balanced,worse aspect ratios but good temporal coherence).Results This study evaluated the aspect ratios and dynamic stability of the employed methods and proposed a new metric that measures the visual difference between rectangles during their movement to represent temporally
