Genome-Wide Comparative in silico Analysis of Calcium Transporters of Rice and Sorghum

The mechanism of calcium uptake, translocation and accumulation in Poaceae has not yet been fully understood. To address this issue, we conducted genome-wide comparative in silico analysis of the calcium （Ca2＋） transporter gene family of two crop species, rice and sorghum. Gene annotation, identification of upstream cis-acting ele- ments, phylogenetic tree construction and syntenic mapping of the gene family were performed using several bio- informatics tools. A total of 31 Ca2＋ transporters, distributed on 9 out of 12 chromosomes, were predicted from rice genome, while 28 Ca2＋ transporters predicted from sorghum are distributed on all the chromosomes except chromosome 10 （Chr 10）. Interestingly, most of the genes on Chr 1 and Chr 3 show an inverse syntenic relation- ship between rice and sorghum. Multiple sequence alignment and motif analysis of these transporter proteins re- vealed high conservation between the two species. Phylogenetic tree could very well identify the subclasses of channels, ATPases and exchangers among the gene family. The in silico c/s-regulatory element analysis suggested diverse functions associated with light, stress and hormone responsiveness as well as endosperm- and meris- tem-specific gene expression. Further experiments are warranted to validate the in silico analysis of the predicted transporter gene family and elucidate the functions of Ca2＋ transporters in various biological processes.

This article elucidates the impact of activation energy on magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)stagnation point nanofluid flow over a slippery surface in a porous regime with thermophoretic and Brownian *** activation energy is scarce in practice,but the impact of negative activation energy could not be neglected as it is noticed in chemical *** rate of some Arrhenius-compliant reactions is retarded by increasing the temperature and is therefore associated with negative activation energies,such as exothermic binding of urea or *** some processes,the temperature dependence of the pressure-induced unfolding and the urea-induced unfolding of proteins at ambient pressure give negative activation *** present mathematical model is solved with successive linearization method(a spectral technique).A comparison of results is made for negative and positive values of activation *** from it,the quadratic multiple regression model is discussed briefly and explained with bar *** is observed that with rise in unsteadiness parameter from 0 to 1(taking positive activation energy),skin friction and Sherwood number are increased by 9.36%and 19%respectively,and Nusselt number is decreased by 26%.However,for negative activation energy,9.36%and 112%enhancement is observed in skin friction and Sherwood number,respectively.

Though they reduce microorganism growth, current hospital disinfectants also damage many of today’s modern electronic devices such as tablets and smartphones. Herein, the efficacy of a new chlorhexidine digluconate gel (CDG) was tested as a disinfectant for mobile and electronic devices in a clinical environment. Specifically, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus were used to infect the screen of eight smartphones. The CDG was prepared at concentrations of 2%, 4% and 6%, and tested on paper disks infected with these bacteria before being tested on the smartphones. The devices were disinfected with the CDG gel (4%) at two times: immediately and after 5 min of the bacterial contamination. In all cases, the CDG gel eliminated 100% of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms compared to the control (without any agent). In addition, the gel did not damage the smartphones. Therefore, our study suggests that the CDG gel may be applied to disinfect a wide range of electronic devices for health care professionals in the hospital environment.

This work examines the ozone electrogeneration （OE） at a binary coating of different nominal compositions （Pt）x-（TaOy）（100-x）, where x （percentage in the precursor solution） varied between 1% and 100%, coated on titanium substrate prepared by a sol-gel technique, The OE is performed in an artificial tap water at room temperature （25 ℃）. The percentages of Pt and Tatu in the coating significantly affect the electro- catalytic activity towards oxygen evolution. The oxygen evolution was retarded to a different extent based on the electrode composition. The largest retardation was obtained at the （Pt）10-（TaOy）90 electrode （ca. 480 mV positive shift） as compared with the （Pt）100-（TaOy）0 electrode. This was reflected in a high current efficiency （CE） of OE （ca. 19.3%） at the former electrode. This value is considered to be among the highest values reported for OE at 25℃ in neutral media. The composite electrodes were characterized by voltammetric and surface techniques. A plausible explanation for the change of the efficiency of OE with the electrode composition is given based on the electrochemical results.

This article involves the study of atmospheric internal waves phenomenon,also referred to as gravity *** phenomenon occurs inside the fluid,not on the *** model is based on a shallow fluid hypothesis represented by a system of nonlinear partial differential *** basic assumption of the shallow flow model is that the horizontal size is much larger than the vertical *** internal waves can be perfectly represented by this model as the waves are spread over a large horizontal *** we used the Elzaki Adomian Decomposition Method(EADM)to obtain the solution for the considered model along with its convergence *** Adomian decomposition method together with the Elzaki transform gives the solution in a convergent series without any linearization or *** are built between the results obtained by EADM and HAM to examine the accuracy of the proposed method.

Quantitative security metrics are desirable for measuring the performance of information security controls. Security metrics help to make functional and business decisions for improving the performance and cost of the security controls. However, defining enterprise-level security metrics has already been listed as one of the hard problems in the info Sec Research Council's hard problems list. Almost all the efforts in defining absolute security metrics for the enterprise security have not been proved fruitful. At the same time, with the maturity of the security industry, there has been a continuous emphasis from the regulatory bodies on establishing measurable security metrics. This paper addresses this need and proposes a relative security metric model that derives three quantitative security metrics named Attack Resiliency Measure(ARM), Performance Improvement Factor(PIF), and Cost/Benefit Measure(CBM) for measuring the performance of the security controls. For the effectiveness evaluation of the proposed security metrics, we took the secure virtual machine(VM) migration protocol as the target of assessment. The virtual-ization technologies are rapidly changing the landscape of the computing world. Devising security metrics for virtualized environment is even more challenging. As secure virtual machine migration is an evolving area and no standard protocol is available specifically for secure VM migration. This paper took the secure virtual machine migration protocol as the target of assessment and applied the proposed relative security metric model for measuring the Attack Resiliency Measure, Performance Improvement Factor, and Cost/Benefit Measure of the secure VM migration protocol.

The paper deals with the study of the mathematical model of tsunami wave propagation along a coast-line of an *** model is based on shallow-water assumption which is represented by a system of non-linear partial differential *** this study,we employ the Elzaki Adomian Decomposition Method(EADM)to successfully obtain the solution for the proposed model for different coastal slopes and ocean *** tsunami wave velocity and run-up height are affected by the coast slope and sea depth are *** Adomian Decomposition Method together with Elzaki transform allows for solutions,without the need of any linearization or perturbation,in the form of rapidly converging *** obtained numerical results for tsunami wave height and velocity are very close match to the real physical phenomenon of tsunami.

In this paper, we find an analytic solution of the master equation of a non-resonant two-photon Jaynes- Cummings model （JCM） with phase damping with the help of the super-operator technique. We study the influence of phase damping on non-classical effects in the JCM, such as oscillations of the photon-number distribution, revivals of the atomic inversion, and sub-Possion photon statistics. It is demonstrated that the phase damping suppresses the revivals of the atomic inversion and non-classical effects of the cavity field in the JCM.

The paper aimed to evaluate fertilizing effects of spent mushroom substrate(SMS)and slurry on dry matter productivity and value of legume-grass *** experiment was replicated three times,with a split-plot arrangement and plots of 3 m^(3) as experimental *** species were grown as three legume-grass mixtures:M1-Dactylis glomerata,Lolium perenne,Medicago x varia ***;M2-Dactylis glomerata,Medicago x varia ***;M3-Lolium perenne,Medicago x varia *** experiment consisted of the following units:control(no fertilization);SMS(30 t/hm^(2));slurry(60 m^(3)/hm^(2))(G);SMS(10 t/hm^(2))+slurry(60 m^(3)/hm^(2));SMS(20 t/hm^(2))+slurry(40 m^(3)/hm^(2));SMS mushroom substrate(30 t/hm^(2))+slurry(20 m^(3)/hm^(2)).During each growing season all the mixtures were harvested three *** fresh matter from each plot was weighted and a sample of 0.6 kg was taken for further *** the experiment the content of both total protein and crude fibre was dependent on the type of fertilizer and on the type of *** from the plots with 20 t/hm^(2) of mushroom substrate and 40 m^(3)/hm^(2) of slurry had the best nutritional value,with the highest amount of total *** contents of protein and crude fibre in the forage were more favourably affected by slurry than by spent mushroom *** of the mixtures from all plots,regardless of the type of fertilizer,the mixture consisting of Lolium perenne and Medicago x varia *** contained the highest content of protein.
