AIM：To investigate the incidence and general characteristics of sports-related eye injuries in patients visiting the Emergency department. Background:Gross motor skills are postulated to have a bidirectional relationship with physical activity(PA);however,no study has tested this relationship before and after a summer *** purpose of this study was to examine the bidirectional relationships between school PA and gross motor skills in children before and after a summer ***:Participants were a sample of 440 children recruited from 3 low-income schools(age=8.9±1.2 years,mean±SD).PA was assessed as average school-day step counts using Yamax DigiWalker pedometers(Yamasa Tokei Keiki,Tokyo,Japan)worn for 5 consecutive school *** motor skills were assessed using the Test for Gross Motor Development,3 rd *** were collected at 2 timepoints:at the end of spring semester(T1)and at the beginning of the subsequent fall semester(T2).An age-and body mass index-adjusted cross-lagged model was employed to relate T1 school step counts with T2 gross motor skills and T1 gross motor skills with T2 school step ***:T1 gross motor skills significantly predicted T2 school step counts(β=0.24,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.08-0.40,p=0.003);however,Tl school step counts did not predict T2 gross motor skills(β=0.04,95%CI:-0.06 to 0.14,p=0.445).The model explained 35.4%and 15.9%of the variances of T2 gross motor skills and T2 school step counts,*** analyses indicated that these relationships were driven primarily by ball ***:The relationship between gross motor skills and school PA was not bidirectional;however,higher gross motor skills,specifically ball skills,predicted higher school PA after a 3-month summer break.

Little information exists with regard to the relationship between leisure and coping mechanisms among people with physical *** purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among leisure,coping,and personal growth among people with physical disabilities living in the *** a purposive sampling strategy,121 participants completed all 3 instruments:assessment of leisure and recreation involvement,coping strategy indicator,and personal ***,descriptive analysis,Pearson correlations,and path analysis were utilized to test the relationship between leisure involvement,coping strategies,and personal *** were statistically significant direct effects of leisure involvement and avoidance-withdrawal coping strategies on personal *** effects of social support seeking coping strategies and problem-solving coping strategies on personal growth were not statistically *** also indicated that leisure involvement had significant direct effects on social support seeking,avoidance-withdrawal,and problem-solving coping *** results demonstrated that leisure engagement was associated with coping strategies and personal *** particular,leisure engagement had direct effects on problem-solving coping,social seeking coping,and avoidance/withdrawal coping as well as a direct effect on personal growth.

The COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges to the tourism sector *** investigated changes in visitor demographics,satisfaction level,and its determinants pre-and *** were collected using questionnaire surveys in 2019 and 2021 within Banff National Park(BNP).The data analyses were based on a sample size of 1183 respondents by conducting factor analysis,correlation analysis and stepwise regression *** highlight that there were fewer international visitors and more local and domestic visitors during the *** attributes were evaluated at a higher satisfaction level *** quality of the Park facilities and services were the most important satisfaction determinants pre-and peri-COVID-19,and all the Park COVID-19 measures and actions received positive experience from *** research fills this knowledge gap by developing a better understanding in the change of visitor demographics and satisfaction level in BNP under the context of the *** also provides implication for both scholars and practitioners to understand the impacts of the pandemic on Park *** study can provide insights for utilizing the pandemic as a transformative strength and for mitigating its negative impact on tourism industry.

National parks are highly valuable natural areas and have the potential to attract a large number of *** number of visitors at national parks is systematically increasing,often exceeding Tourism Carrying Capacity(TCC)of *** situation requires adjusting the number of park visitors to adapt to sustainable management systems of visitor flow,thus preventing or counteracting *** aim of the study is to propose a comprehensive method for tourists monitoring in mid-mountain national park presented on the example of the Sto?owe Mountains National Park(SMNP)in Poland,called as Monitoring System of tourist traffic(MSTT).The study describes six stages procedure of tourists Monitoring System creation and application as an optimal measurement *** MSTT enabled a multidimensional analysis of tourist traffic in *** the help of 39 pyroelectric sensors and surveys data spatio-temporal characteristic of visitor flow was *** data generated in MSTT included hourly,daily,weekly,monthly,and annual reports,taking into account the direction of traffic measuring both directions:entries(IN),exits(OUT)and passages(IN+OUT).The results from pyroelectric sensors were supplemented with field surveys,where visitor’s motivations,preferences,and behaviours were *** 2017 a total of 871,344 visitors were recorded in SMNP what causes one of the most popular national parks in *** SMNP is a suitable destination for short breaks leisure visits in *** order to sustain MSTT methodology in the long-run the set of guidelines together with the workload estimates were *** the future,the MSTT can be further developed,including monitoring of climbing,cycling,cross-country skiing,car traffic and illegal tourism *** MSTT can be considered as a useful tool for tourism management in mid-mountain national parks throughout the entire calendar year.

Background: Self-efficacy has been identified as an important determinant of youth's behavior change including physical activity(PA) participation. However, the dimensionality check of a PA self-efficacy scale has rarely been conducted in China. The current study aims to examine(1) the unidimensionality of a shortened Chinese version of PA self-efficacy scale(S-PASESC);(2) the measurement invariance of S-PASESC across gender and levels of education;(3) the latent factor mean difference between gender and levels of education;(4) the direct effects of self-efficacy on PA by different gender and education levels; and(5) the comparisons of the direct effects of self-efficacy on PA across gender and education ***: The participants were 5 th through 11 th grade public school students recruited from 7 cities located in different geographic regions of China. The final data include a total of 3003 participants(49.7% boys) who have completed the ***: Confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) test supported the unidimensionality of S-PASESC. The S-PASESC is invariant across gender and 3 levels of education at both configural, full metric, and full scalar levels. Findings from latent mean comparisons showed that boys reported higher PA self-efficacy than girls. Students' perceived PA self-efficacy tend to decrease from elementary to high school. Finally, self-efficacy positively related to PA by groups of different gender and education levels and the relationship between self-efficacy and PA is stronger among middle school boys than ***: Findings suggest S-PASESC is a valid scale for measuring Chinese students' PA self-efficacy.
