Objective: This study aims to analyze the distribution of positive human papillomavirus (HPV) infections among women of appropriate age in Beiliu City during cervical cancer screening in 2024, providing data support for subsequent public health interventions. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the HPV test results from January 1, 2024, to November 30, 2024, at Beiliu Maternal and Child health Hospital. We statistically analyzed the positive rates of different HPV genotypes and the co-infection status of multiple genotypes. Results: A total of 7558 individuals were tested, with 1103 positive cases identified, resulting in a positivity rate of 14.59%. Among these, HPV type 52 had the highest positive rate, accounting for 18.47%. The co-infection analysis showed that there were 788 cases with single genotype positivity, 236 with double genotype positivity, and 58 with triple genotype positivity, while cases with multiple genotypes simultaneously positive were relatively rare. Conclusion: The HPV infection rate among women of appropriate age in Beiliu City is relatively high, especially for high-risk HPV types. To reduce the future incidence of cervical cancer, it is recommended to enhance health education and vaccination efforts for this population.

In China, liver transplantation is an important discipline in the field of organ transplantation. China Liver Transplant Registry (CLTR) is a scientific project that has been set up to advance surgical techniques and procedures and to improve both short-and long-term post-transplant follow-up and outcome of the liver recipients. CLTR also serves as a robust data support platform for the National Liver Transplant Quality Control Center in the quest to upscale its quality control protocols. The mission of CLTR is to register all liver transplantation activities in the mainland of China and to conduct scientific analyses of the collected data. The huge number of compiled cases and the scientific research conducted over the past decade based on this database drastically revolutionized the clinical practice in the country. All CLTR activities and projects will be a guarantee to foster progresses of liver transplantation in China in a more scientific way, to standardize the systematic care in the field of liver transplantation.

Zinc homeostasis plays an essential role in maintaining immune function and is tightly regulated by zinc transporters. We previously reported that the zinc transporter SLC39A10, located in the cell membrane, critically regulates the susceptibility of macrophages to inflammatory stimuli; however, the functional role of SLC39A10 in T cells is currently unknown. Here, we identified two SNPs in SLC39A10that are associated with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD). We then generated transgenic mice with T cell-specific deletion of Slc39a10(cKO) and found that its loss not only protects against disease progression in IBD and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE),but also induces massive apoptosis via a p53/p21-and Bcl2-independent process. Mechanistically, we show that Slc39a10 serves as a key zinc importer upon activation of T cell receptor to safeguard DNA replication. Together, these findings provide new mechanistic insights and potential targets for the development of new therapeutic strategies for the treatment and/or prevention of T cell-mediated autoimmune diseases.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Saudi *** study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of TNM staging,Alfa-fetoprotein(AFP),and Child-Turcotte Pugh(CTP)on patients’overall survival(OS).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to *** patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria:(a)a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or(b)a biopsy-confirmed ***:The mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:*** patients were stratified into two groups:viral HCC(n=22,51%)and non-viral HCC(n=21,49%).Among viral-HCC patients,55%were due to HBV and 45%due to *** was diagnosed in 79%of *** and sex did not significantly statistically differ in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients(p-value>0.05).About 65%of patients had tumor size>5 cm during the diagnosis,with a significant statistical difference in OS(p-value=0.027).AFP was>400 ng/ml in 45%of the *** was a statistically significant difference in the OS in terms of AFP levels(p-value=0.021).A statistically significant difference was also observed between the CTP score and OS(p-value=0.02).CTP class B had the longest *** was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib *** was a significant statistical difference in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients(p-value=0.008).Conclusions:The most common predictors for OS were the underlying cause of HCC,AFP,and tumor *** having non-viral etiology,a tumor size>5 cm,an AFP>400 ng/mL,and a CTP score class C were all negatively associated with OS.

This study reports the frst death caused by a novel avian infuenza A(H7N9)virus in Zhejiang Province,*** patient had chronic hepatitis B and history of exposure to *** patient initially complained of diarrhea and infuenza-like symptoms on March 7 and 14 *** disease progressed to severe pneumonia,sustained hypoxia,and coagulation *** patient died on March 27 because of respiratory failure,multiple organ failure,and disseminated intravascular coagulation without oseltamivir *** H7N9 virus from Zhejiang is highly similar to isolates obtained from Shanghai,Jiangsu,Anhui,*** of hemagglutinin,neuramidinase,and matrix genes indicated that the isolates share the same avian origin,have low virulence,and are sensitive to oseltamivir,but are resistant to *** the isolate that caused the fatality exhibited substitution of Q226I in the HA gene,which indicates a potentially enhanced human *** secondary transmission rate was 1.6%(2/125).Only two health workers presented with infuenza-like symptoms,and they subsequently tested negative for H7N9 *** conclusion,underlying disease,late diagnosis,and untimely antiviral treatment are possible high-risk factors for infections and death caused by the lowpathogenicity avian infuenza A(H7N9).Person-to-person transmission of the H7N9 virus was not detected among close contacts,but such transmission should be investigated in the *** and enhancing surveillance will help in the early discovery and diagnosis of suspected cases,which will reduce the number of severe cases and deaths.

Objectives:This study examined the levels of shared leadership and missed nursing care and their relationship among nurses in ***:A cross-sectional survey was *** February to April 2024,340 nurses worked in all inpatient care units at Alexandria Main University *** Shared Leadership and Missed Nursing Care Survey was used for ***:The overall score of shared leadership was(72.62±4.30),which imitates a high perception of shared leadership among nurses;the dimension of delegation achieved the highest average mean score(3.66±0.26),followed by collaboration(3.64±0.31),the vision dimension scored the lowest mean score(3.59±0.33).The elements of missed nursing care had a total score of(46.72±5.69),and the dimension of secondary care achieved the highest average mean score(3.74±0.31).The reasons for missed nursing care had a total mean score of(22.40±1.59),and the dimension of labor resources achieved the highest average mean score(3.20±0.22).Male nurses,less than 30 years old,married,held a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences,less than five years of experience in the nursing profession,and less than five years of experience in the current working unit had higher total scores of the shared leadership and lower total scores of missed nursing care(P<0.001).A negative correlation existed between shared leadership and two dimentisons(the elements of nursing care[r=-0.383],the reasons for missing nursing care[r=-0.047])(P<0.001).Conclusions:The study’s findings can help as a theoretical underpinning for nursing leaders to stand in an environment that reduces the incidence of missed nursing care by encouraging teamwork,responsibility,workload management,and empowerment among nurses.
