Spatiotemporally controlled growth factor(GF)delivery is crucial for achieving functional vasculature within engineered ***,conventional GF delivery systems show inability to recapitulate the dynamic and heterogeneous nature of developing tissue’s biochemical ***,an aptamer-based programmable GF delivery platform is described that harnesses dynamic affinity interactions for facilitating spatiotemporal control over vascular endothelial GF(VEGF165)bioavailability within gelatin methacryloyl *** platform showcases localized VEGF165 sequestration from the culture medium(offering spatial-control)and leverages aptamer-complementary sequence(CS)hybridization for triggering VEGF165 release(offering temporal-control),without non-specific ***,extensive 3D co-culture studies(human umbilical vein-derived endothelial cells&mesenchymal stromal cells),in bi-phasic hydrogel systems revealed its fundamentally novel capability to selectively guide cell responses and manipulate lumen-like microvascular networks via spatiotemporally controlling VEGF165 bioavailability within 3D *** platform utilizes CS as an external biochemical trigger for guiding vascular morphogenesis which is suitable for creating dynamically controlled engineered tissues.

The impact of temperature and particle size on minimumfluidizing velocity was studied and analyzed in a small pilot scale of bubbling fluidized bed *** study was devoted to providing some data about fluidization to the literature under high temperature *** experiments were carried out to evaluate the minimum fluidizing velocity over a vast range of temperature levels from 20℃ to 850℃ using silica sand with a particle size of 300-425μm,425-500μm,500-600μm,and 600-710μ***,the variation in the minimumfluidized voidage was determined experimentally at the same *** experimental data revealed that the Umf directly varied with particle size and inversely with temperature,whileεmf increases slightly with temperature based on the measurements of height at incipient ***,for all particle sizes used in this test,temperatures above 700℃ has a marginal effect on *** results were compared with many empirical equations,and it was found that the experimental result is still in an acceptable range of empirical equations *** which,our findings are not well predicted by the widely accepted correlations reported in the ***,a new predicted equation has been developed that also accounts for the affecting of mean particle size in addition to other parameters.A good mean relative deviation of 5.473% between the experimental data and the predicted values was estimated from the correlation of the effective dimensionless ***,the experimental work revealed that the minimum fluidizing velocity was not affected by the height of the bed even at high temperature.

Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) are innovative advanced quality materials in the field of composites concerning their strength， mechanical， and thermal properties. Nowadays， the modern requirement of the industry in the fields of health care， aerospace， and power sectors needs the rapid evolution of new components， which allows researchers to invent new materials to satisfy the functional requirements of modern technology. Tissue engineering is one of the most concerned areas of the application of FGM in the healthcare sector， where the tailored properties of FGM play a significant role in building and growing an artificial structure that heals the damaged tissue of the body parts and meets the desired application that the part needs to perform. This paper highlights the suitability of the combination of a nano-structure enhanced epoxy functionally graded material， its properties， and applicability in the design of a prosthetic foot where it provides the mobility and comfort of the body part like natural tissue. The analytical study is done by designing an ANSYS model and simulating the results of equivalent stress and directional deformation. The Finite Element (FE) approach is used to optimize the output results of stress-strain analysis， different weight percentages of nano-filler are taken for performance enhancement. A comparative analysis is done with the previously established results taking carbon fiber-reinforced composites that offer a successful validation of the present results obtained. Furthermore， this study also provides a clear understanding of the justification of the composition considered for the effective application in the field of prosthetics field.

Background It is very difficult and relatively unpredictable to preserve and restore severely weakened pulpless roots. To provide much needed benefit basis for clinical practice, this study was carried out to analyze the stress distribution in weakened roots restored with different cements in combination with titanium alloy posts. Finite element analysis （FEA） was employed in the study. Methods A pseudo three-dimensional model of a maxillary central incisor with flared root canal, theoretically restored with titanium alloy posts in combination with different cements, was established. The analysis was performed by use of ANSYS software. The tooth was assumed to be isotropic, homogenous and elastic. A load of 100 N at an angle of 45° to the longitudinal axis was applied at the palatal surface of the crown. The distributions of stresses in weakened roots filled with cements of different elastic modulus were analyzed by the three-dimensional FEA model. Results Several stress trends were observed when the stress cloud atlas obtained in the study was analyzed. With the increase of the elastic modulus of cements from 1.8 GPa to 22.4 GPa, the stress values in dentin decreased from 39.58 MPa to 31.43 MPa and from 24.51 MPa to 20.76 MPa （respectively, for maximum principle stress values and Von Mises stress values）. When Panavia F and zinc phosphate cement were used, the stress peak values in dentin were very small with no significant difference observed, and the Von Mises stress values were 20.87 MPa and 20.76 MPa respectively. On the other hand, maximum principle stress value and Von Mises stress value in cement layer increased with the increase of the elastic modulus of cements. Conclusions The result of this study demonstrated that elastic modulus was indeed one of the important parameters to evaluate property of the cements. Phantom limb is a disabling neuropsychiatric condition among amputees resulting in pain and disturbance that impact their functions,quality of life,and *** pharmacological approaches appeared to be ineffec-tive,the emergence and integration of X-reality,including virtual reality,augmented reality,and mixed reality,might elevate the effectiveness of mirror therapy in managing phantom *** objective of this study is to review X-reality for managing phantom pain.A systematic search was conducted on PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,PsycINFO,Embase,and ***(n=16)studies containing 66 lower-limb and 53 upper-limb amputees were included for the review over the thematic framework of amputee characteristics and intervention designs,while thirteen(n=13)studies were further proceeded for the *** found eleven studies on virtual reality(n=11),four studies on marker-based augmented reality(n=4)and one study on mixed reality(n=1)with a total of 40 game/task themes involving,motor skills,motor control,and ***,all these interventions adopted the movement representation strategies with different ***,the X-reality interventions reduced the pain level of the amputees(mean difference:-2.30,95%CI,-3.38 to-1.22),especially the virtual reality subgroup(mean difference:-2.83,95%CI,-4.43 to-1.22).However,there were substantial heterogeneity and partially explained by the subgroup analysis on publication *** strength of evidence was limited by case reports and case series in this review.

Background: War-related traumas can lead to orthopedic and neurological disorders in victims. However, the scope of such disorders may expand months or even years after the trauma. Orthotic treatment as a rehabilitation process aims to enable people with disabilities to reach and maintain their optimal physical, sensory, intellectual, psychological, and social functional levels. This study aimed to investigate the rate of using orthoses among Iranian veterans with neuromuscular and skeletal disorders of the ankle and foot. Furthermore, the priorities of orthotic treatment in those veterans were ***: This qualitative study was a national health needs assessment conducted in 11 provinces of Iran during 2011–2016. A stakeholder research group was established to survey the veterans in respect to their demographic variables, activities of daily living, current health conditions, and rate of using ***: Overall, 907 of the 1124 veteran participants completed the survey(response rate: 80.7%). Most of the veterans were men(97.7%), and their age and disability rate were 52.07±8.13 years and 31.92%±14.93%, respectively. Nearly 42% of the veterans had experience in using orthoses on a daily and weekly basis. As physical ambulation was the main problematic activity in veterans, most of them were using medical shoes and foot orthoses. Nearly 37% of veterans were in need of some type of lower limb orthoses on the contralateral side to compensate for their hip inequality. In sequential order, the most in need orthoses for veterans were foot orthoses(n=538), medical shoes(n=447), lower limb orthoses on the contralateral side(n=320), spinal orthoses(n=273), and upper limb orthoses(n=86).Conclusion: In spite of the high demands for orthoses among Iranian veterans with ankle and foot disorders, the use of orthoses is insufficient. The chaotic scale-up approach by matching the Kolmogorov entropy(E_K) proposed by Schouten et al.(1996) was assessed in two geometrically similar gas–solid fluidized bed columns of 0.14 and 0.44 m *** used four conditions of our validated new mechanistic scale-up method based on matching the radial profiles of gas holdup where the local dimensionless hydrodynamic parameters were similar as measured by advanced measurement *** experimental conditions were used to evaluate the validity of the chaotic scale-up method,which were selected based on our new mechanistic scale-up *** gauge transducer measurements at the wall and inside the bed at various local radial locations and at three axial heights were used to estimate *** was found that the experimental conditions with similar or close radial profiles of the Kolmogorov entropy and with similar or close radial profiles of the gas holdup achieve the similarity in local dimensionless hydrodynamic parameters,and vice versa.
