Effects of grain boundary on irradiation-induced zero-dimensional defects in an irradiated copper

Grain boundaries(GBs)can serve as effective sinks for radiation-induced defects,thus notably influencing the service performance of ***,the effect of GB structures on the zero-dimensional defects induced by irradiation has not been fully ***,the evolution of cascade collision in the single-crystal(SC),bicrystalline(BC),and twinned crystalline(TC)copper is studied by atomic simulations during *** spatial distributions of vacancies and interstitials are closely related to the GB at a certain primary knock-on atom(PKA)*** with the TC,the BC displays a more obvious segregation of the interstitial atoms near GB,due to the characteristic of the greater interstitial binding *** evolution of Frenkel pairs is more sensitive to the change of the GB position in the BC.A more prominent defect annihilation rate is caused by the effect of the GB than that of the twin boundary(TB).The marked secondary emission phenomenon has been observed in the BC,which promotes the formation of an inverted pagoda-like defect *** are similar sub-conical defect distributions and microstructures induced by cascade collision in the TC and the *** has been found that the influence range of the GB is wider in the ***,the average flow stress of the irradiated copper is quantitatively calculated by establishing a physical strengthening *** contribution of vacancy to the average flow stress in the irradiated BC and TC is obvious than that in the SC,due to the formation of many *** study provides a theoretical basis for further understanding and customization of the metal-based equipment with good radiation resistance.

In the realm of low-level vision tasks,such as image deraining and dehazing,restoring images distorted by adverse weather conditions remains a significant *** emergence of abundant computational resources has driven the dominance of deep Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),supplanting traditional methods reliant on prior ***,the evolution of CNN architectures has tended towards increasing complexity,utilizing intricate structures to enhance performance,often at the expense of computational *** response,we propose the Selective Kernel Dense Residual M-shaped Network(SKDRMNet),a flexible solution adept at balancing computational efficiency with network accuracy.A key innovation is the incorporation of an M-shaped hierarchical structure,derived from the U-Net framework as M-Network(M-Net),within which the Selective Kernel Dense Residual Module(SDRM)is introduced to reinforce multi-scale semantic feature *** methodology employs two sampling techniques-bilinear and pixel unshuffled and utilizes a multi-scale feature fusion approach to distil more robust spatial feature map *** the reconstruction phase,feature maps of varying resolutions are seamlessly integrated,and the extracted features are effectively merged using the Selective Kernel Fusion Module(SKFM).Empirical results demonstrate the comprehensive superiority of SKDRMNet across both synthetic and real rain and haze datasets.

Control of droplet sliding and its interfacial behavior such as sliding resistance and friction have important applications in microfluidic and energy-related *** provides many examples of interface-driven droplet sliding control;yet,to date,the continuous governing of the multiphase process and precise steering of droplet sliding remain ***,directional-dependent ultraslippery patterned surfaces with significant droplet sliding anisotropy were created by coordinating the heterogeneous wettability of the back of the dessert beetle,directional-dependent architecture of the butterfly wing,and ultraslippery configuration of the Nepenthes *** of the sliding resistance on typical ultraslippery patterned surfaces reveals that the directional-dependent triple phase line(TPL)immigration on the ultraslippery patterns dominates the strong sliding anisotropy,which can be modeled using the classic Furmidge *** particular,the sliding anisotropy for the semicircular ultraslippery patterned surface shows threefold higher than that of natural butterfly wings due to the most significant difference in TPL immigration in two opposite directions,which enables the simultaneous handling of multiple droplets without mass loss and steering of droplet sliding/*** work may transform the design space for the control of multiphase interface motion and the development of new lab-on-a-chip and droplet-based microsystems.

Use of multidisciplinary analysis in reliabilitybased design optimization(RBDO) results in the emergence of the important method of reliability-based multidisciplinary design optimization(RBMDO). To enhance the efficiency and convergence of the overall solution process,a decoupling algorithm for RBMDO is proposed ***, to decouple the multidisciplinary analysis using the individual disciplinary feasible(IDF) approach, the RBMDO is converted into a conventional form of RBDO. Secondly,the incremental shifting vector(ISV) strategy is adopted to decouple the nested optimization of RBDO into a sequential iteration process composed of design optimization and reliability analysis, thereby improving the efficiency significantly. Finally, the proposed RBMDO method is applied to the design of two actual electronic products: an aerial camera and a car pad. For these two applications, two RBMDO models are created, each containing several finite element models(FEMs) and relatively strong coupling between the involved disciplines. The computational results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The hybrid boundary node method （HdBNM） combines a modified function with the moving least squares approximation to form a boundary-only truly meshless method. This paper describes two implementations of the HdBNM, the singular hybrid boundary node method （ShBNM） and the regular hybrid boundary node method （RhBNM）. The ShBNM and RhBNM were compared with each other, and the parameters that influence their performance were studied in detail. The convergence rates and their applicability to thin structures were also investigated. The ShBNM and RhBNM are found to be very easy to implement and to efficiently obtain numerical solutions to computational mechanics problems.

The ionic liquid(IL) tributylmethylammonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide([N4441][NTf2]) was used as neat lubricant and as an additive(1.5 wt%) in a polar oil to study its friction and wear reducing *** tests were completed for 90 minutes at room temperature and 100 °C in a reciprocating configuration at loads of 30 and 70 N,10 Hz-frequency,and 4 mm stroke *** volume was measured by confocal microscopy and the surface-IL interaction determined by *** main findings were that neat IL showed the best tribological behavior;the IL-containing mixture behaved similar to the base oil regarding friction,however outperformed the antiwear behavior of the base oil under higher temperature;surface-IL chemical interaction was found mainly at 100 °C.

Droplet manipulation techniques such as transport and merging have been widely used in many fields including biology,chemistry,material and energy ***,droplet manipulation strategies have been extensively investigated and reviewed in terms of droplet placement on solid ***,less attention has been paid to the practice of droplet manipulation technology in other environments,limiting our understanding and the broadening of technology *** this article,we provided an overview of the recent progress in controlling droplets in various situations,including droplet manipulation on a surface mediated by the passive strategy(Laplace pressure and wettability gradients)and active strategy(electric field,magnetic field,light and heat).We also presented the principle of droplet manipulation and detailed the application of bionic surfaces in droplet manipulation,and the applications and prospects of droplet manipulation technology were summarized.

Inner wrinkling control in hydrodynamic deep drawing of an irregular surface part using drawbeads

Inner wrinkling phenomenon is more likely to develop during hydrodynamic deep drawing （HDD） of complicated component-forms due to the higher demand for controlling deformation sequences. Aiming at the problems in control of inner wrinkling for an irregular surface part featured with both concavity and convex, this research proposes an optimal design method of drawbead parameters to change the material flow. According to theoretical analysis of the mechanism of inner wrinkling, optimizing cavity pressure only is unreasonable to form a wrinkle-free deep-drawn part, so semi-circular drawbeads are employed. The effects of layout and height of drawbeads on forming results are discussed, and a process window is established based on evaluation indicators including the anti-wrinkle coefficient and the minimum wall thickness. Experiments are carried out to validate the process window, and the wall thickness and the wrinkle height are measured and compared with numerical findings. The results show that the anti-wrinkle ability of drawbeads weakens with increasing oblique angle and distance from the die center, while the wall thickness increases with increasing oblique angle and distance, and the inner wrinkling can be completely suppressed by drawbeads arranged in zones I and II with optimum penetration.
