Existence of long-range magnetic order in Heisenberg spin nanoribbons with edge modification

Long-range magnetic order appears on a side decorated Heisenberg spin nanoribbon at nonzero temperature, although no spontaneous magnetization exists in a one-or two-dimensional isotropic Heisenberg model at any nonzero temperature according to the Mermin–Wagner theorem. By use of the spin Green's function method, we calculated the magnetizations of Heisenberg nanoribbons decorated by side spins with single-ion anisotropy and found that the system exhibits a nonzero transition temperature, whether the decorated edge spins of the system link together or separate from each other. When the width of the nanoribbon achieves infinite limit, the transition temperatures of the system tend to the same finite constant eventually whether one edge or both edges are decorated by side spins in the nanoribbon. The results reveal that the magnetism of a low-dimensional spin system is different from that of a three-dimensional spin system. When the single-ion anisotropy of edge spins in a Heisenberg spin nanoribbon can be modulated by an electric field experimentally, various useful long-range magnetic orders of the system can be obtained. This work can provide a detailed theoretical basis for designing and fabricating next-generation low-dimensional magnetic random-access memory.

As the simplest hydrogen-bonded alcohol,liquid methanol has attracted intensive experimental and theoretical ***,theoretical investigations on this system have primarily relied on empirical intermolecular force fields or ab initio molecular dynamics with semilocal density *** by recent studies on bulk water using increasingly accurate machine learning force fields,we report a new machine learning force field for liquid methanol with a hybrid functional revPBE0 plus dispersion *** dynamics simulations on this machine learning force field are orders of magnitude faster than ab initio molecular dynamics simulations,yielding the radial distribution functions,selfdiffusion coefficients,and hydrogen bond network properties with very small statistical *** resulting structural and dynamical properties are compared well with the experimental data,demonstrating the superior accuracy of this machine learning force *** work represents a successful step toward a first-principles description of this benchmark system and showcases the general applicability of the machine learning force field in studying liquid systems.

Physical properties such as the conductivity are usually classified according to the symmetry of the underlying system using Neumann’s principle, which gives an upper bound for the number of independent components of the corresponding property tensor. However, for a given Hamiltonian, this global approach usually can not give a definite answer on whether a physical effect such as spin Hall effect (SHE) exists or not. It is found that the parity and types of spin-orbit interactions (SOIs) are good indicators that can further reduce the number of independent components of the spin Hall conductivity for a specific system. In terms of the parity as well as various Rashba-like and Dresselhaus-like SOIs, we propose a local approach to classify SHE in two-dimensional (2D) two-band models, where sufficient conditions for identifying the existence or absence of SHE in all 2D magnetic point groups are presented.

We extend our research on the energy flux and waveform characteristics of gravitational waves generated by merging nonspinning binary black holes through self-consistent effective one-body theory to include binary systems with slowly spinning black ***, we decompose the equation for the null tetrad component of the gravitationally perturbed Weyl tensor ψ4Binto radial and angular parts, leveraging the second-order approximation of the rotation parameter a. Subsequently, we derive an analytical solution for the radial equation and observe that our results are contingent upon the parameters a2, a3, and a, which represent the second-and third-order correction parameters, respectively. Ultimately, we calculate the energy flux, the radiation-reaction force and the waveform for the “plus” and “cross” modes of the gravitational waves generated by merging slowly spinning binary black holes.

Combining the deviation between thin layers' adjacent surfaces with the confining potential method applied to the quantum curved systems,we derive the effective Schr?dinger equation describing the particle constrained within a curved layer,accompanied by a general geometric potential V_(gq) composed of a compression-corrected geometric potential V_(gq)~*and a novel potential V_(gq)~(**) brought by the *** this analysis to the cylindrical layer emerges two types of deviation-induced geometric potential,resulting from the the cases of slant deviation and tangent deviation,respectively,which strongly renormalizes the purely geometric potential and contribute to the energy spectrum based on a very substantial deepening of bound states they offer.

In this study,we calculated the inclusive charged-current neutrino-nucleus scattering from ^(40)Ar in the quasielastic *** explore the effect of uncertainties stemming from the nuclear structure,we used the KIDS(Korea-IBS-Daegu-SKKU)nuclear energy density functional and Skyrme force models,namely SLy4,SkI3,and *** models were selected to have distinct behavior in terms of the density dependence of the symmetry energy and the effective mass of the *** the charged-current neutrino scattering,the single-and double-differential cross sections were calculated for various *** cross sections are reported as a function of the incident neutrino *** theoretical cross sections were compared with experimental data,and the roles of the effective mass and symmetry energy were investigated in terms of charged-current neutrino-nucleus scattering.

In this paper,we study the quantum geometric effects near the locations where classical black hole horizons used to appear in Einstein's classical theory,within the framework of an improved dynamic approach,in which the internal region of a black hole is modeled by the Kantowski-Sachs(KS)spacetime and the two polymerization parameters are functions of the phase space *** detailed analysis shows that the effects are so strong that black and white hole horizons of the effective quantum theory do not exist at all and instead are replaced by transition surfaces,across which the metric coefficients and their inverses are smooth and remain finite,as are the corresponding curvatures,including the Kretschmann *** surfaces always separate trapped regions from anti-trapped *** number of such surfaces is infinite,so the corresponding KS spacetimes become geodesically complete,and no black and white hole-like structures exist in this scheme.

We study the above-threshold ionization(ATI)process of atoms exposed to fundamental and high-frequency lasers with arbitrary ellipticity by applying the frequency-domain *** is found that the angular-resolved ATI spectrum is sensitive to ellipticities of two lasers and emitted angles of the *** for the photon energy of the highfrequency laser more than atomic ionization potential,the width of plateau tends to a constant with increasing ellipticity of fundamental field,the dip structure disappears with increasing ellipticity of the high-frequency *** the help of the quantum channel analysis,it is shown that the angular distribution depends mainly on the ellipticity of high-frequency field in the case that its frequency is ***,one can see that the maximal and minimal energies in quantum numerical results are in good agreement with the classical *** investigation may provide theoretical support for experimental research on polarization control of ionization in elliptically polarized two-color laser fields.
